“Cast your anxieties upon God, for God cares about you.”
1 Peter 5:7
The Power of Littles
Great events, we often find,
On little things depend,
And very small beginnings
Have oft a mighty end.
Letters joined make words,
And words to books may grow,
As flake on flake descending
Form an avalanche of snow.
A single utterance may good
Or evil thought inspire;
One little spark enkindled
May set a town on fire.
What volumes may be written
With little drops of ink!
How small a leak, unnoticed,
A mighty ship will sink!
A tiny insect’s labor
Makes the coral strand,
And mighty seas are girdled
With grains of golden sand.
A daily penny, saved,
A fortune may begin;
A daily penny, squandered,
May lead to vice and sin.
Our life is made entirely
Of moments multiplied,
As little streamlets, joining,
Form the ocean’s tide.
Our hours and days, our months and years,
Are in small moments given:
They constitute our time below –
Eternity in heaven.

A Good Woman
A good woman is proud of herself. She respects herself and others. She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from the person she is with, nor does she expect them to read her mind. She is quite capable of articulating her needs.
A good woman is hopeful. She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true. She knows love, therefore she gives love. She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated. If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears.
A good woman has a dash of inspiration, a dabble of endurance. She knows that she will, at times, have to inspire others to reach the potential God gave them. A good woman knows her past, understands her present and moves toward the future.
A good woman knows God. She knows that with God the world is her playground, but without God she will just be played. A good woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past. Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons, meant to bring her closer to self-knowledge and unconditional self-love.

Contemplation
When quiet moments finally overtake
The harshness of the day and
Moonbeams replace traffic lights,
I ask myself:
Who am I?
Why am I here?
Shouldn’t I be doing something?
As day after day races past me
And my life flees like a rabbit
Freed from its cage, I wonder:
What is worthy of my time?
I seem to have so little.
What do I value?
What thief steals in the night
My richest treasure? My life!
And another day dawns
And off I race.
I sit and write checks to pay for
Services and goods already received,
But then halt because
Although the bills flow like the
Incoming tide, the numbers in my
Little checkbook deplete.
I wonder if I am just a lost soul.
The world around me slumbers as
I lie awake still watching the night lights
Reflecting on the pond outside my window
And dream of a gentler way;
A world where
Human life has value and joy.
And so I reach deeply within,
To that place where infinite wisdom resides,
to ask,
“Father/Mother, Creator and Source
of all life and intelligence,
Tell me, I pray, how do I live wisely and usefully
That I may not reach the end of my days
In regret and shame?
For I fear that is where my life is going.”
As I lie there in silence,
I can feel the gentle breeze
From the wings of the angels
That watch over me.
Soft voices in the stillness of my mind
Speaking words of love and encouragement.
YOU MUST MASTER YOUR OWN MIND.
THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT
FOR YOU TO DO HERE.
“How do I do that?” I ask.
“LIVE FROM A PLACE OF
WISDOM, TRUST AND LOVE.
BANISH FEAR.
LET EVERY MOTIVE BE UNITY
WITH YOUR SOURCE AND ALL LIFE.
NOTHING LESS IS WORTHY OF A SOUL.”

How is Positive Christianity different? We are not connected with any church or religious organization. We do not build buildings – we build people. We encourage every person to attend the church of their choice. We have no walls that we place up, physical or denominational. We are the ministry that people of every faith, or none, can access and use free of charge.
POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:
Dear God, help me to use everything in my life my successes, and my failures, the small things and the large to become a better person today and tomorrow in my life.
POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION:
I am as strong as my faith and my faith is strong.
POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE:
“You hit home runs not by chance, but by preparation.”
Roger Maris
