Positive Daily Inspiration – September 27, 2023 – Dwell in Safety

“The beloved of the Lord, they dwell in safety by God.”
Deuteronomy 33:12

Some persons feel weighted down with care and worry. It is good to accept responsibility, but it is NOT good to feel that everything is up to us alone.

We often feel that we alone must make every decision, and handle every disturbing situation. We often feel that all the work that must be done has to be done by us. It is impossible for one person to do this, but some persons act as if this is what they must do.

Freedom from worry and care and a heavy sense of responsibility comes as we place all that concerns us – our lives, our affairs, our dear ones – lovingly in God’s care.

Weights are lifted from our shoulders; we feel a sense of lightness and freedom as we give over our worried thoughts to God, as we trust in God’s love to be with us to strengthen and help us, and to be with our dear ones in all their ways.

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, 30 “come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest … For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

We live more in our minds than we do in our environment. Even if we change our environment we take ourselves with us everywhere we go. To dwell in safety is to know that we dwell in God. Dwelling in God is the safest place there is.

We know that with God’s help – our way will be made easy.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, in each moment of this day, I know that You are with me.
Your love enfolds me;
Your light guides me.
Wherever I go, whatever I do, You are with me.
Dear God, Your wisdom guides and directs me and each person whom I encounter.
You are with me as a protecting presence.
You are everywhere present to guide, to guard, to make safe the way.
Dear God, Your wisdom inspires me to use good judgment.
Your love keeps me poised so that I am never flustered, impatient, or thoughtless of others.
Dear God, I thank You for Divine protection.
I thank You that Your love enfolds me.
In that love I am fearless and free.
I pray that people everywhere may share this feeling of being Divinely protected, of being fearless and free.
