Positive Daily Inspiration – August 30, 2022 – Tuesday Prayer and Meditation for Hope

Positive Daily Inspiration - August 30, 2022 - Tuesday Prayer and Meditation for Hope

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalm 23

In this time of prayer and meditation we focus our faith on God. We believe ALL things are working together for our highest good, especially now. As I begin this day, I think of the challenges and responsibilities that lie before me. I take stock of my strengths and skills, and I ask myself, “Do I believe I am able. Do I believe I can be healed? Do I believe that all things are working together for my good?” I place my trust in God, I rest in the assurance of that hope.

I believe that God is able and therefore God will equip and empower me to be able.

In the stillness of prayer, I affirm the presence of God with us right now, and the answer comes: “Yes! I believe God’s indwelling presence. I believe in my abilities. I believe I can do all things that are mine to do with God’s help.”

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Through my belief that God is my loving help in every need, I can make my world one of harmony, accomplishment, and love. I believe I can overcome troublesome situations that have bound me in the past. I believe in the strength and might of God in my life; the power that calms every storm. I believe I will continue to progress to the realization of that which is for my highest good.

Dear God, I believe in Your power to heal every situation, every condition, of mind, body, and affairs. Heavenly God, I believe in Your presence in every situation that brings about harmony and order. I believe there is no situation beyond Your help, and appearances that seem so real can be changed by You. I have strong hope because I have strong faith in You.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Lord, I believe in Your power to protect me and my loved ones under all circumstances. You are everywhere present. You are with me. You are with my loved ones. Lord, I truly believe that all Your children carry within them the spark of help from the Divine. I see the good in all persons everywhere. I know that Your presence surrounds us and dwells within us all, guiding us into right avenues of good.

I am not defeated by apparent loss or failure. I am NOT downed by circumstances. When I hold to the realization that I am a spiritual being and that I was created in Your image and after Your likeness and through Your spirit which is alive in me, I am able to stand strong and steady.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I do not give way to fear. I do not give up. I know that there is yet more in me, and there are new paths, new ways, new ideas opening to me.

This new life that is opening before me is Divinely ordered by You, dear God, and I am excited and joyous as I watch my life change and blossom.

I believe in You, dear God. I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in myself. Thank You, God, for the ability to see past appearances and have an optimistic attitude. I thank You that we have the courage to do the things that are there for us to do, to rise above any apparent failing situation.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Thank You, God, that we can make a 180-degree turn in our thinking, and that we can rise from what appears to be a dead-end and go forward in new directions to our good. Thank You, dear God.

Dear wonderful God, we believe in the purpose of Christianity and its worldwide mission, and we thank You that it is active in each of our lives right now. As we go forward in this day, we remain open, hopeful, receptive, excited, and tuned into this real experience that we each are having. We are so grateful.

I believe in You, God, and so I believe in myself. I make hope one of my foundation pillars to experience.

In Jesus Christ name,

And so, it is … Amen.

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: I myself am a contributor to God’s world. I give myself freely, joyfully, abundantly with strong hope in every situation in my life.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.” Tom Bodett

“Lo, I am with you always” Matthew 28:20

(((Opening Music)))

We are here to honor the life of (full name)

Please join me in prayer:

By Your grace, O God, lover of my soul, strength of my body, light of my life, I am sustained, freed from my sorrow. My heart is at peace for I am one with You. My faith has told me so. I draw nearer to You, dear loving God, that I may be nearer to [my loved one] who is with You.

Help me to know perfectly that life is eternal, and death but a shadow that hides from my earthly sight the unseen world into which [my dear one] has stepped. Love knows no boundaries, and the love of my heart reaches into the beyond.

You did not lose when You gave [this dear one] to me, and I cant lose when [my beloved] returns to Your eternal home. As it promises in the Bible, “In my Father’s house are many rooms” (John 14:2).

Still in the shadow of Your protection, still in Your loving care, only into another room has [my dear one] gone. This I know, even as I know You are ever watchful over me.

As to life in this other room, I trust that to You. I know that when the veils of uncertainty are fully lifted from my vision I shall see clearly into this room, and know perfectly all that is now hidden.

Help me, dear God, to understand the mystery of eternal life. Some day I shall understand. Until then I am content to know that [my beloved] is with You, safe in Your everlasting arms.

Now we continue our prayer with the 23rd Psalm:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restored my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness of His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil: My cup runneth over

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

In Jesus Christ’s name. . Amen

I would like to share the following with you. It is called “There Is No Death.”

I am standing on the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her until at length she is a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says, “There! She’s gone!” Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side, and she is just as able to bear her load of living weight to her destined harbor.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment then someone at my side says, “There! She’s gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, aid other voices ready to take up the glad shout, ‘There she comes!”

And that is dying.

(((SOLO or MUSIC)))

We are gathered here today to reaffirm our faith in life eternal as we bless [this loved one] on [his~her] way into [his/her] next experience in living.

It is our prayer that from this time forward we may never think of [him/her] as limited by time or form, but always as a living soul, continuing on the pathway of life, ever in our heavenly God’s wise and loving care,

The Holy Bible gives us many promises concerning eternal life, Here are a few:

John 5:24, “He that heareth my word. and believeth Him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life”.

John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he die, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die”.

II Corinthians 4:16-18, “No wonder we do not lose heart! Our eyes are fixed, not on the things that are seen, but on the things that are unseen: for what is seen passes away; what is unseen is eternal. For we know that if the earthly frame that houses us today should be demolished, we possess a building which God has provided – a house not made by human hands, eternal, and in heaven. In this present body we do indeed groan; we yearn to have our heavenly habitation put on over this one”.

I Corinthians 15:44-49, “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body … , the first child is of the earth, earthy: the second child is of heaven – and as we have borne the image of the earth,, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.. For, our citizenship is in heaven”.

Life, being of God and actually being an extension of God Himself into His creation, can under no conditions be lost. Life is eternal. It never ceases to exist. It does not allow itself to he lost or ended any more than God, our Creator and sustainer is ever lost.

There is not now, never has been, and never can be any absence of life anywhere, any time, because there can never be an absence of God,

Life does not move toward death. It moves toward more life. It turns death into life. It turns inanimate matter into life. It turns lesser forms of life into higher forms of life, It invents. It evolves. It shapes itself into new and ever more various forms, with greater capacities for living. It moves from brute to human and from human beyond that, that we can ever know. Even now the life-force is pressing to outstrip itself, to surpass and over-top all that it has so far done.

It is as when we climb a mountain. Sometimes to reach the peak we have to go down into a valley. But when we emerge, we are closer to the peak.

Life does not go backward. Life goes forward. Life is like Napoleon’s drummer boy – it does not know how to beat retreat. Its bugles, even blowing requiem, sound for the living and are a call to life, When the winding of the horn has died away upon the air and pulses only in our heart, we lift our eyes to green endeavors

We can fix our gaze on the death and the dying, or even trouble and evil and imperfection. But this is not the whole view. Life is whole, and to be understood, it must be seen whole.

It is not that the facts are not the facts. It is just that they are not the truth. Believing that the facts are the truth is like believing that the sun has stopped shining because we happen at the moment to be in darkness. The long day’s journey is not into the night. Though we move through 10,000 nights, the journey is and always has been toward a brighter day.

The setting sun is but the other side of the rising sun! Nevertheless, even from this part view, seeing things moment-by-moment and little-by-little, we see that if there is darkness, there is also light.

For the person passing through death, it is really a birth into a new and better world. Those who are left behind should not grieve as if there were no hope. Life is changed, not taken away. Our dear ones live on in a world beautiful beyond anything we can imagine. With God, they await the day when they will welcome us with joy.

At a sad time like this we ask, “What happens when the individual goes through the experience humans call death?” This is simply the separation of the soul from a particular body.

The body is merely the clothing that the soul has worn for a time. In this process called death, the clothing is discarded, and the soul goes on to its next experience in Divine unfoldment.

The soul of [the one we love] is not here in this casket. This is but the body that housed the individual. The soul, the spiritual being, is too great to be confined,

As we lay aside a garment at the end of a day, so [our loved one] has laid aside the garment of the flesh.

(His/Her] soul continues in another sphere of life. Although invisible to us, [he/she] continues [his/her] soul experience.

In this gathering of loved ones and friends, we are particularly aware of the love and friendship of this one we have known, and we are saddened in the thought that something precious has gone out of our lives. But we know that it is not the outer face or form that draws a host of friends, Rather it is the inner qualities–love, strength, and joy–that come from the heart of God and find expression in those with whom we share rich experiences.

(((PERSONAL COMMENTS))) – this is the place for the complete biography of the deceased’s life that the family has given you starting the birthplace, schooling, military service, places of residence, hobbies, vocation, accomplishments, awards, clubs belonged to, location of death.

(((Ask if anyone would like to say anything about (him/her)))

Wait just a brief moment, there probably will not be anyone because this is so hard to do. But there will be occasions where you will have many that wish to speak, including family members that had indicated so.

And personal comments section with:

The sunrise of this earthly life – ____________ (date). The sunset of this journey – ____________ (date).

“The free gift of God,” said Paul, “is eternal life” (Romans 6:23). Life did not begin when we were born, nor does it cease when we die, anymore than we begin to live when we put on a garment, or cease to live if we lay it aside. It is true that a part of our spiritual growth is to learn to exercise our God-given dominion over the body, but as it says in I Corinthians 15:26, “the last enemy to be destroyed is death.” I am sure that as we cross that threshold that humans called death we ourselves will smile a bit, because we realize that death is not a period, but simply a comma in the story of life.

To overcome death we must place our emphasis upon life. The more completely we express life, the more our lives will increase.

We should not fear death, either for ourselves or for others. We do not fear it if we are firmly established in the understanding of God’s love for us. We wish for those whom we love only that which is for their good. If we knowingly had the power, we would ensure that good to them. If our human love would do so much, how much more will the love of God do! We readily forgive the errors of those whom we love. We help them to overcome weakness, to manifest wisdom and strength. How much more does God forgive us our human mistakes, and help us to he strong and wise!

Our grief for the departed is not usually grief for them because they are with God and are happy again.

Our grief is for ourselves because we shall miss them and because we seem to be separated from them.

We take from bereavement its greatest power to us when we realize that in fact our grief is for ourselves.

(((SOLO)))

This is entitled Eternal Vision:

They know me not who think that I am only flesh and blood a transient dweller on this fragile earth that gave me human birth,

For I am Spirit.
eternal, indestructible, not confined to space or time. And when my sojourn here is through, my roles fulfilled, my assignments done, I will lay aside this suit called my body and move on to other’ mansions, roles, assignments in our God’s house of eternal life.

So dry your tears.
weep not overmuch for me–or for yourself. Set me free, in the love that holds us all and makes us one eternally!

Our paths will cross again
Our minds and hearts will touch; our souls will shout with joy and laughter as we recall the lives we’ve lived, the worlds we’ve seen, the ways we’ve trod to find ourselves–at last–in God.

Prayer:

Let us all here at this moment form a Divinely appointed prayer group. As we pray together let us know that each one is enriched in his own experience of God and in his own participation in the life that is limited only by our present understanding.

Romans 8:38-39 “For l am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will he able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I believe prayer is the language of Spirit. It has no boundaries of time or space, so no one ever passes beyond the realms of prayer.

Let us enter into this time of prayer with open and receptive minds and hearts. As we do so, we shall release a real blessing of prayer that will follow our loved one in [his/her] great ongoing. Let us pray. Please join me in saying our Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it :is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread:
And forgive our debts,
As we have also forgiven our debtors.

And leave us not in temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.
Amen

Dear God, with the loss of our dear one, we turn sincerely to You, for the comfort and strength that You have to offer. We willingly turn to You in this time of need and we surrender all of our pain in one great gesture of letting go.

Dear God, we open ourselves to the influx of Your love, comfort, and strength. By becoming still in prayer, by listening, we hear Your voice, God, assuring us that all is not lost. We know with Your help, darkness will turn to light.

We find acceptance in our hearts of a deep and unexplainable Presence that gives us the strength to carry on.

Dear God, we feel Your Presence and warmth of Your love. In the awareness of our oneness with You, we feel a sense of closeness with all those whom we love, even (name) who has passed beyond our physical sight. We see [name] enfolded in Your love, and we know that Your light illumines [name] path.

Through the language of prayer, we extend the blessings of mind and heart to this dear one. To [name] in [his/her] ongoing we say: “We know that your faith is a lamp unto your feet. We know that you are secure in God and in life that is endless. Our prayer for you is this:

The light of God surrounds you;
The love of God enfolds you:
The power of God protects you;
The presence of God watches over you.
Wherever you are, God is!

We remember Jesus’ words of eternal life. We are lifted up in the thought of the eternal unending life in which we live, in which (name) lives. The Comforter with us brings to our remembrance the assurance that though to appearances life may seem to cease, behind the appearances is the Truth of eternal life.

And now, dear God, we give thanks that You strengthen us and lead us on our way, as we make our own adjustments in the days to come. We give thanks for guidance, understanding, strength, and peace. God, we thank Thee, for Thine “is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” Amen.

THIS NOW CONCLUDES THE SERVICE.

Funeral Committal graveside:

(This is generally very short, due to the weather elements, and that the formal service has already been done.)

We go to the grave of a friend saying a [man/woman] is dead. But angels throng about [him/her] saying a [man/woman] is born.

Friends, we are here to consecrate this resting place. To release this human form, and to commit the soul of our dear one into the care and keeping of God.

Allow me to share with you “The Traveler”
by James Dillet Freeman

[He/She] has put on invisibility.
Dear Lord, I cannot see–
But this I know, although the road ascends
And passes from my sight;
That there will be no night~
That You will take [him/her] gently by the hand
And lead [him/her] on
Along the road of life that never ends,
And [he/she/ will find it is not death but dawn
I do not doubt that You are there as here,
And You will hold [him/her] dear.

Our life did not begin with birth,
It is not of the earth;
And this that we call death, it is no more
Than the opening and closing of a door–
And in Your house how many rooms must be
Beyond this one where we rest momently

Dear Lord, I thank You for the faith that frees,
The love that knows it cannot lose its own,
The love that, looking through the shadows see
That you and [he/she] and I are ever one

This garment of flesh used for a time is not the reality of [our loved one]. I pray that this grave and its marker will never be a reminder of one who is dead. Rather, I pray it will always be a symbol of the life that was lived; life that is one with eternal life; life that in its ongoing seeks the fulfillment of God’s eternal life

Let us pray.

Dear God, we know that You are here as everywhere. We know that You consecrate this place and receive this human form. In its transition, we commit to Your care and keeping the soul we love.

To our dear one, this true spiritual being, we say:

“There shall be a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:3).

We lift our eyes above and beyond “the valley of the shadow of death,” (Psalms 23:4). to the sunrise of a new day and to a new life.

We bless our dear one in [his/her] journey forward, and we loose [him/her] and let [him/her] go. As we turn to face the work that lies before us, we remember the promise of Jesus-

“Lo, I am with you always” Matthew 28:20

Thank You, God, for the privilege we have had to share our life experience with [name]. We know that all the good we have shared with [name] makes us richer and better able to fulfill our part in the challenge of living.

We thank You, God for Your love and ever-present help on our way.

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

THE END OF COMMITTAL SERVICE

First meeting with family, SHEET FOR QUESTIONS:

(Give of business card with ALL your numbers, including home, personal cell phone, to every person in attendance. Some of the most meaningful comments about the deceased may come later.)

I developed this sheet after doing a funeral for a housewife. After the service they said, “You called her Mary, we all called her June.” Sometimes a person’s name is quite different from what is on their birth certificate, the family in their grief will often forget to mention these things.

Another time I did a service, and afterwards the extended family said you never mentioned her military service (it was quite extensive.) Again the family thought that this was a given, that everyone should know. I didn’t know.

Ask funeral home: what type of service? Where in building? How many people will be attending? Request a microphone, if over a few. People are often older, and unless sitting on the front row they will not hear you. This is a given most places, but not all. Many times the funeral home will use community buildings, and halls, not normally for funerals. They will not think about microphones until it’s too late.

Ask if you will be going to the cemetery?
Should you drive in your own car, or ride in the hearse?

If driving your own car where should you be in the procession? (Normally clergy car follows the hearse.)

Request that funeral home sends you in advance, by email, the newspaper obit.

Note: Good funeral directors – direct. But with funeral homes becoming corporate I have seen that sadly drastically change over the last decades.

I have had a lot of funerals that I completely ran, because funeral home didn’t know how.

Positive Daily Inspiration – August 29, 2022 – ASPIRATIONS

Positive Daily Inspiration - August 29, 2022 - ASPIRATIONS

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through God who loved us.”
Romans 8:37

NEW VIDEO TODAY – SEE BELOW

Many people believe that people have to hit bottom before they can change. That is hard to believe but it is very true.

It is the belief that people with negative habits HAVE TO hit the lowest point in their lives where they suffer so much that they desire change at any cost, before they can rise to the top. We each have free will, and sometimes it is this way.

There is another way to learn besides the school of hard knocks.

We can at any time, choose a Higher school of learning.

You do not have to hit bottom – you simply have to touch the top!

Thank God that we can have, and accept, Divine help at any time that will lift us up and will see us through. We give thanks to God that our turnarounds in life do not have to be born of desperation, but can be born from our aspirations.

We have been told that to be a true success in life we “have to pay our dues over a long, long, long period of time,” and yet, we have seen people rise from the ashes of mediocrity like the Phoenix bird, powered in their flight by their faith in God and in their own aspirations.

Andy Rooney said something that struck a chord in me, in an interview on CNBC. He said, “He wished that humankind had as much desire to do good in this world as they do to make money.”

We must all aspire to do good first. This is one of the core spiritual messages that comes to humanity. A person will often be making excuses, saying that they have made so many mistakes in the past that they cannot change now. We must transmute our past, learning from it, and aspire to do better. The past can be like a resource that can burn bright if the flame is used to fuel your present journey, instead of consuming it.

Ask for God’s help and reinvent your life. You will find that it is impossible to reinvent your own life without positively affecting many others.

If something in your life needs to change, then the Spirit of God will guide you to do just that. When you ask for guidance, do not be afraid of the answer. A turning point may come when you feel guided to change your place of employment, work on a negative habit, or become part of a lasting, loving relationship.

As you listen to God, be at peace. God brings you only good, and helps you to overcome your past so that you may aspire to be the best human being possible.

As you listen to God in prayer, you then realize that the changes that you choose are there for you to experience something for your own betterment, and you give thanks to God for giving you a choice, and a way.

In 1 Corinthians 12:31, our Bible states, “Strive for the greater gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.”

Nearly every person has something, some attitude, some concept, some situation that they need freedom from.

It may be that you feel inferior and need to aspire so that you may identify with God’s idea of greatness for your life. It is possible that an attitude needs to be released so that a more productive attitude can take over.

For instance, an attitude of self-pity or of self-condemnation can be released through a realizing of God’s power in the present moment. A concept of God as love must be realized. A situation that is filled with temporary problems may demand our prayer thought so that adjustments can be brought out in a most orderly way. A human relationship may need to be harmonized so that there is a newness of purpose for the good of all concerned.

True aspirations are founded in knowledge – knowledge of God and your oneness with God.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

If anyone has heard me or harm me knowingly or unknowingly in thought, word, or deed, I freely forgive them.

And I too ask forgiveness if I have hurt anyone or harm to anyone knowingly or unknowingly in thought, word, or deed.

(Sacrament of Confession)

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: By discovery and expressing my own potential, I bless myself and others.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.” Maya Angelou

‘Didn’t you say, sir, at the scene of the accident, ‘I’m fine, ?’ asked the lawyer.

Ole responded, ‘Vell, I’ll tell you vat happened. I had yust loaded my favorite mule, Bessie, into da … ..’

‘I didn’t ask for any details’, the lawyer interrupted. ‘Just answer the question. Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, ‘I’m fine’?

Ole said, ‘Vell, I had yust got Bessie into da trailer and I vas driving down da road … ..

The lawyer interrupted again and said, ‘Judge, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the Highway Patrolman on the scene that he was just fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question.’

By this time, the Judge was fairly interested in Ole’s answer and said to the lawyer, ‘I’d like to hear what he has to say about his favorite mule, Bessie’.

Ole thanked the Judge and proceeded. ‘Vell, as I vas saying, I had yust loaded Bessie, my favorite mule, into da trailer and vas driving her down da highvay ven dis huge semi-truck and trailer ran da stop sign and smacked my truck right in da side. I vas trown into one ditch and Bessie vas thrown into da other. I vas hurting real bad and didn’t vant to move.

However, I could hear Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible shape yust by her groans’. ‘Shortly after da accident da Highway Patrolman, he came to da scene.. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he vent over to her’..

‘After he looked at her and saw her fatal condition, he took out his gun and shot her right ‘tween da eyes.

Den da Patrolman, he came across da road, gun still smoking, looked at me and said, ‘How are you feeling?’

‘Now vat da heck vould YOU say?

Positive Daily Inspiration – August 26, 2022 – OPEN YOUR EYES TO NEW POSSIBILITIES

Positive Daily Inspiration - August 26, 2022 - OPEN YOUR EYES TO NEW POSSIBILITIES

“Be renewed in the spirit of your minds and put on the new nature.”
Ephesians 4:23,24

God can and will open your eyes to new possibilities. God-given opportunities are in front of you, right now. Pray today for improved vision, to see opportunity in front of you, and to gain the personal motivation to act on that opportunity when it presents itself.

In God’s world, opportunity comes to you like rain to thirsty soil.

If you had the opportunity to observe a familiar object under a microscope, you will find the more you increase the magnification, the less recognizable it becomes.

The same holds true for situations in your life that are still in the process of being resolved. If you focus only on the problem, you will be drawn closer to it. In an attempt to analyze it, rather than keeping an open-mind and being objective, you can become so completely involved that your perception is distorted by the negative thought held in human mind.

There is a sign in Alaska put up by the highway department. The roads there, are often unpaved and with rains and freezing, present unique driving situations. The Alaska Highway Department sign states, “Choose your rut carefully – you will be in it for the next 50 miles!” The ruts are made then freeze in place locking the wheels within them. It’s almost impossible to get out.

We humans choose our ruts by what we focus upon.

Instead, you focus on God in God’s overall plan of good for your life. When you do, you can look, objectively, with the new and higher vision. When you look from a higher vantage point, you are no longer blinded by obstacles that seem in your way at the present moment in time. You are lifted from your rut to God’s straight, smooth, clear, and easy path.

Pray for God’s vision so that you may perceive the Divine order and possibilities that are awaiting your claim.

As you look with fresh eyes and a better perspective, you are able to see that God is in charge of your life and all the circumstances of your life. Placing God first, you are able to see that God is, indeed, in charge and all is coming together according to a Divine plan.

In Psalms 105:4-5, our Bible states, “Seek the Lord and God’s strength; seek God’s presence continually. Remember the wonderful works God has done.”

You are an intricate part of an orderly whole in God’s world. Even when your life seems out of order, there is something underneath and beyond the appearance of chaos that is unchanging, loving to you, and supportive. God’s world is filled with life, even in the seemingly barren spots, just as your life is also filled with God’s life. God will continually bring opportunity to you if you will let God.

In your prayer times, your quiet moments with God, you make a conscious connection with the presence of God, and you feel infused with positive energy. Possibilities move freely, and your life gets stronger. You are alive and responsive to opportunities that present themselves to you. You have the power to look at your future with great hope and even in anticipation of the good that God has already prepared for you.

Your thinking and perception are enhanced by God’s Spirit. You bless your mind, as well as your eyes, for the tremendous work that they will perform for you, helping you to see the possibilities in your life.

You work with God, not against God. You speak positive words of positive faith when you speak about yourself, your future, and your potential. You know with God all things are possible for you.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

I belong to the Great Church which holds the world in its starlight aisles;
That claims the great and good of every race and clime;
That finds with joy the grain of gold in every creed;
And floods with life and love the germs of good in every soul.
(Prayer of Robert G Ingersoll)

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: My life is transformed through vision of Spirit.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “Understand that the right to choose your own path is a sacred privilege. Use it. Dwell in possibility.” Oprah Winfrey

Positive Daily Inspiration – August 25, 2022 – PERSONAL MOTIVATION

Positive Daily Inspiration - August 25, 2022 - PERSONAL MOTIVATION

“May you be strengthened with all power, according to God’s glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy.” Colossians 1:11

The power of motivation is one of the most important and forceful powers with which you can be blessed. Before doing anything, you must first be motivated. I am asking God, today, to bless everyone that reads this Positive Daily Inspiration with the blessing of the empowerment of personal motivation. You can use this power for good by motivating yourself in such a way as to help and bless others, just as you have been blessed by God.

Spirituality brings a desire in us to bless others. There are many things that influence us and motivate us to do that which needs to be done. As we pray to God, we are assured of Divine motivation in every aspect of our lives. People get tired and they need renewed strength and energy. In going to God in prayer, you are given a new drive and motivation to accomplish the things that you need to accomplish, on an everyday basis.

In Ephesians 4:23-24, our Bible states: “Be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Give thanks to God for God’s power of good pervading your life. Know that through God’s power with you and in you, you are motivated to do the right thing. This power is at work in and through you at all times. Through your awareness of the motivating power of God within you, you know that your steps are directed right, and you are inspired in all your ways. You can rejoice, today, in God’s power with which you are continually blessed.

You see every day as a new beginning; you are not locked into the past and its problems. You expect new opportunities to open to you. You expect to be more capable of meeting life successfully. You surge forward towards your success, confident that with God all things are possible.

You fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm to do the things that ought to be done by you.

You examine yourself to see what improvements you can make in your approach to the new opportunities that lie before you. You seek God’s guidance in prayer, and give much prayerful thought to the goals that you wish to accomplish in your lifetime.

You set about to make more adequate preparation of your qualifications. You seek to serve rather than to be served, for you know that there is greater satisfaction in activity which is based on a desire to promote the welfare of all humanity, rather than just the achievement of a personal desire. You are motivated by God to do the spiritual thing.

With such a motivation, you can be confident that many new roads will open to you and that you will be given much spiritual help in meeting the situations and circumstances that lie immediately ahead.

May you be touched directly by God this moment with the gift of personal motivation.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Thank You God for going before me and showing me the way to make the crooked places of my life straight and orderly.
Amen.

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: Motivation is now established in me; I am charged up and ready to go. I am upright and strong.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “Besides the noble art of getting things done, there is a noble art of leaving things undone. The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials.” Lin Yutang

Positive Daily Inspiration – August 24, 2022 – FAITH COMES BY HEARING

Positive Daily Inspiration - August 24, 2022 - FAITH COMES BY HEARING

“My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.”
John 10:27

A Native-American and his friend were in downtown New York City, walking near Times Square in Manhattan. It was during the noon lunch hour and the streets were filled with people. Cars were honking their horns, taxicabs were squealing around corners, sirens were wailing, and the sounds of the city were almost deafening. Suddenly, the Native-American said, “I hear a cricket.”

His friend said, “What? You must be crazy! You couldn’t possibly hear a cricket in all of this noise!”

“No, I’m sure of it,” the Native-American said, “I heard a cricket.”

“That’s crazy,” said the friend.

The Native-American listened carefully for a moment, and then walked across the street to a big cement planter where some shrubs were growing. He looked into the bushes, beneath the branches, and sure enough, he located a small cricket. His friend was utterly amazed. “That’s incredible,” said his friend. “You must have superhuman ears!”

“No,” said the Native-American. “My ears are no different from yours. It all depends on what you’re listening for.”

“But that can’t be!” said the friend. “I could never hear a cricket in this noise.”

“Yes, it’s true,” came the reply. “It depends on what is really important to you. Here, let me show you.” He reached into his pocket, pulled out a few coins, and discreetly dropped them on the sidewalk. And then, with the noise of the crowded street still blaring in their ears, they noticed every head within twenty-feet turn and look to see if the money that tinkled on the pavement was theirs.

“See what I mean?” asked the Native-American. “It all depends on what’s important to you.”

What’s important to you?

What do you listen for? Some people say that God never speaks to us anymore.

But perhaps they can’t see or hear God because they aren’t listening for God. They are living for themselves, not for God. If you are in tune with God, you will be able to notice God at work in your life and in the world. And you’ll be able to hear God when God speaks.

What are YOU listening to?

If you are listening to just yourself, what are you saying about yourself?

As a child I remember there was a souvenir vending machine that would mold of piece of plastic. You were able to select the shape of the plastic souvenir. One time I got a buffalo molded in Yellowstone Park. Another time, I got the Statue of Liberty molded in New York.

The belief system is also plastic, moldable by what we hear.

Jesus said that faith comes through the ears, then the belief system is formed, around what is said.

Romans 10:17 states strongly, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”

This is the basis, and our strong emphasis, on our free video prayers and NEW meditation television channels (See below for direct link.)

The person listens and listens until they fully get it, accept it, and can wear the belief as their own.

This is what it means biblically to put on the Christ.

Make sure that your thoughts are directed correctly by what you hear. When you speak about yourself make sure you’re speaking the Christ truth about you.

Ephesians 4:24 “Put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”

Like water on a dry farmer’s field, your parched ears will be fed by the positive nourishment that will go deep into the soil of your soul.

And when you are able to hear God’s voice speak, you will be uplifted and changed permanently.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

I pray today that the words I speak are words of positive spiritual truth.
I pray the words that I hear lift me spiritually higher. I pray that my faith has a strong foundation and is fed constantly by what it hears.

In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: I walk a spiritual path and see things from a higher vantage point.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and without, the more significant and the higher in inspiration his life will be.” Horace Bushnell

Important new word to add to your vocabulary: Positude – “Having a positive attitude.” Christopher Ian Chenoweth

Positive Daily Inspiration – August 23, 2022 – Tuesday Prayer and Meditation

Positive Daily Inspiration - August 23, 2022 - Tuesday Prayer and Meditation

“In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
Isaiah 30:15

“God abides in us, and God’s love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:12

This is based, in part, on James Dillet Freeman’s writing “Because He Is Love.”

Let us pray … in awareness and in realization that God’s love is with us now.

Who of us does not have times when he or she thinks they are not good enough to go to God for help? But God does not help us because God approves or disapproves of what we are doing. God helps us because God is God, because God is life, because God is love.

God does not help us because we are good. God helps us because God is good. God does not help us because we deserve help or love us because we deserve love. Do you love only those who have no flaws? And would you think that you can love where God cannot? Love sees things perfect in spite of flaws. We do not have to be perfect to lay hold of love’s perfection.

God does not answer our prayers to reward us because we have been good, or deny our prayers to punish us because we have been bad. God does not strike a bargain. God does not work for pay. God gives.

Accept the gift of God’s love in the silence of prayer …

Our God does not wait until we give ourselves to God to give the Divine to us. God seeks us even when we flee from God. And where can we flee from God – a God who is everywhere present and at hand?

God has us in the Divine heart, whether we have God in our hearts our not.

We do not have to be the most willing for God to choose us, or the most capable for God to use us.

It is not only good people that God has used to do God’s good. It is not only brave people that God has used to win God’s victory. It is not only righteous people that God has used to establish right.

So, today, in prayer, we hold out our hearts and we pray. God, whatever my heart may have felt, love through it. Divine love, manifest thyself through me.

In the silence of prayer and ask for God’s love to manifest through you.

We hold out our minds and we pray: God, whatever my mind may have thought, think through it. We hold out our hands and we pray: God, whatever my hands may have done, act through them.

We know that God does not give God-strength only to the strong, or God wisdom only to the wise, or God joy only to the joyful, or God blessing only to the blessed.

God does not help us because of what we are. God helps us because of what God is. God is love.

I decree through the power of Jesus Christ that you will have a renewal in many phases of your mind. In this Lenten period, I decree that you will view yourself anew; you will start to see and recognize the God qualities that are in you, manifesting through you.

You will not deny these through false belief in inferiority. Rather you will carry the strength, the banner of God, high in the way you carry yourself and the way you act, speak, and think.

Thank You, dear, wonderful God of love

In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen.

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: The Christ light illumines my mind and energizes my body. I am directed by God in wise and loving ways.

Positive Daily Inspiration – August 22, 2022 – FIVE ACTION STEPS

Positive Daily Inspiration - August 22, 2022 - FIVE ACTION STEPS

“And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, ‘Peace, be still.’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And He said unto them, Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” Mark 4:39-41

NEW POSITIVE DAILY INSPIRATION VIDEO – SEE BELOW

Some people go through life re-acting, or even re-coiling, out of fear to the events of daily life. These people wait for things to happen then they react. Outer events that happen to them and around them determine what kind of day they will have, and unless they change, the kind of life they will have. These people do not live, but out of fear, they huddle and hide.

Some people even allow the weather to determine their mood and outlook on a particular day. Many of these people lead sad lives. They feel like they are victims of the outer events and circumstances that they have no control over.

I have a sign in my office, I wrote it to myself. It says, Don’t Be an Idiot! I.D.I.O.T. to me, stands for, I’ll Do It Only Tomorrow!

The human mind LOVES to put things off – till tomorrow. Human mind left to its own devices, lives in the forgotten promises of yesterday. Often we use the credit card of the debt of time – and when the bill becomes due, there is often not enough time, to pay it.

An idiot experiences D.U.M.B. To me, this stands for, Delay Under Minds Brain.

The brain that is connected to the Mind of God, is working in the realm of miracles.

The brain connected only to its own resources is quite limited, and only turns to itself repeating the thinking that hasn’t worked in the past. It is very exhausting, and delay seems to be the only relief.

There are people who consciously take the reigns of their life and become pro-active. These people take action before outer events take action. We live in a constantly moving and changing universe; to keep up we have to be action oriented. God has given us free-will to determine our own destiny. God has given us power, dominion and authority, but it is up to us to choose to take action.

If we wait for circumstances to take action, things may, or may not, turn out right.

FIRST ACTION STEP … GOD FIRST!

The first action to take, before outer action, is prayer in a positive affirming way for the way that you choose things to be. Jesus said, “when you pray, believe you have already received!”

SECOND ACTION STEP …

Pray to God for guidance, and the power, courage, ability, and personal motivation to make the move and take action.

THIRD ACTION STEP …

Outer movement in the direction that God has guided you to move.

FOURTH ACTION STEP …

Believe that God is going ahead of you; preparing the way for your good.

THE FIFTH ACTION STEP … EXPECT A MIRACLE!

Your purpose in this life is soul growth, just as a boat is not meant to stay in a harbor, you are not meant to stay in a place where you huddle and hide. All of us have had times where we have been re-active and other times where we have been active. I would venture to say that if you look back on your life, the happiest and most satisfying times, were when you were “living” and taking ACTION.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, I realized that when I try my hardest to control a situation
that I overreact and lose control.
The only real control is when You are in control.
When I experience an inner urging after prayer to move forward in my life
or career I boldly take that step of positive action.
I know that I am using faith as my anchor.
You are there to support me.
Help me to be a proactive person.

How alive I feel letting You be God in my life!
In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen.

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: Today, I walk with God. I am a positive proactive person.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “We should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes.” John F. Kennedy
