“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in God my heart trusts.”
Psalms 28:7

What an opportunity we share, to go to God and to know God on a personal basis. Right now, you are drifting away from past thoughts and opinions of who you think you are. You are drifting in spiritual consciousness into the light of truth, the truth that God speaks to you about you and for you. You are drifting away from past limitations that you have placed upon yourself.

You are directly blessed by God.

Jesus Christ is here in our midst, raising us up.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

With God, you are going beyond the failures you have had in your lifetime, and you are receiving a spiritual course correction. In prayer, you receive the illumination and the guidance, along with the incredible comfort of God.

In reassurance of resting in the power of God in the silence of prayer …

Jesus said, “You are a child of the living God.” You have, within you, the all-creating power of the Christ. This power of the Christ radiates from you and blesses all you contact. We are connected in prayer. And in that connection, we are both agreeing to God’s will and God’s good.

Your life is God-given life and abundant living. Your life is made up of God’s strength. And your life is made up of new God-given courage because you know, without a doubt, that God is with you. You are patient. As you pray this day, you rest in God. You are not anxious about anything. You realize that God is working; you let go and you let God. God is magnificent. “How great Thou art!”

You are blessed by God.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

There is a peace inside of you that passes human understanding. It is at the core of your being. It is a well-being. You decree in prayer, in Jesus Christ’s name, that this feeling of well-being will stay with you, all the hours and minutes of this week.

You have a power inside of you to rise above past failures, to realize that it is nothing at all for a God connected spiritual person. And you are a spiritual victor, because there is that within you that is helping you now and going higher.

In the silence of prayer you are agreeing with God …

Dear God, I wish to go up higher than I have ever gone before. I have realized Your presence, many times, in my life. I consent now to realizing it more. Dear God, I consent this day to realizing God in a new profound way. I know, dear God, that You are always fresh, new, and exciting. I pray that You are all those and more inside of me, this morning. I give thanks for Your presence.

Rest now, once more, for a holy moment, in the silence of prayer …

The grace of God is working in your life. The grace of God is alive. The grace of God is your assurance of all good things.

You are blessed by God.

In Jesus Christ’s name, we give thanks … Amen.

Positive Daily Inspiration – March 18, 2024 – God Time Management

Positive Daily Inspiration - March 18, 2024
God Time Management

a gift from www.PositiveChristianity.net

──────────── • ● • ────────────

“For everything there is a season and a time for every matter.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

God can take away the stress, and pressure of the clock.
God can change deadlines to lifelines.
God can manage time in your life.

One of the hardest things that I’ve had to teach myself is time management. I have found that I have wasted a lot of the time in my life. I still feel like a kid; I can hardly believe that so much time has passed.

I ask myself often, “Where did all the time go?” How well do you do with time management? Do you govern your time wisely and efficiently? Have you ever spent the entire day at work by staring at the clock?

We mark the passing of time by checking our watches, clocks, and calendars. We would do well to check our attitudes also, for they influence our perception of time.

When we are happy, time seems to pass quickly, and we accomplish whatever we need to do with ease. When we keep our thoughts joy-filled, time with others is more harmonious.

Sometimes we may seem to have more to do than time allows. However, we can determine our own use of time as we make choices about what we give our attention to each moment.

As we take a few minutes to pray quietly for guidance, we realize that God directs us in all matters including time management. In these moments, we willingly accept Divine ideas on how to proceed. As we let harmonious accomplishments continue to unfold in our thinking, they will also become a reality in our lives. We can proceed confidently toward any achievement without concern about how long it will take.

Holy people live life enjoying EVERY minute!

I went to a cemetery about a year ago and walked around. I was feeling the stress of too much to do, and too little time to do it. Then God gave me a message. As I looked at the gravestones, I wondered how many hours of their precious time these people wasted in worry, in fear, and in general unhappiness. When I spend an hour doing anything, it is spent and will never return; it is something I can’t get back.

Never let the clock be your God. Allow God to be the God of your clock.

Ask God to take over the time management of your life and to regulate time in your favor. Ask God to place you and the actions of your life in Divine timing.

Give yourself the present of allowing God to manage your time.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, I realize that each day is precious, and the greatest gift that you have to give me is time. I realize that I have a limited amount of this gift of time, in body, here on earth.

Help me to utilize the time that you have given me to the maximum potential for the good of myself, my loved ones, and for humanity. I pray that I stop wasting time and start enjoying every moment with you.

God, take the lead. I choose not to live another minute in worry or fear. I choose not to live another minute in anxiety. I choose to spend my time living life in joy, in bliss, and realizing my God-given potential.

In Jesus Christ’s name … It is so … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION:

God gives me life and time and I use both to the fullest advantage today.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by Freeing Yourself

“Everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

Saint Patrick was not born Irish, but English.

As a teenager living in England Saint Patrick, by his own writings, was admittedly very un-religious. He left those silly church things to his parents.

The story is told that when he was 16, he was taken prisoner and put aboard a slave ship headed for Ireland.

There he spent years as a slave of the Irish People. During this time, he had only one thing to comfort him, and that was the faith of his parents. He started to pray morning noon and night. He found tremendous strength and comfort in God. He found a profound spiritual presence with him at all times.

He was not a victim, but a spiritual victor.

He discovered a faith-filled person is a slave to no one. He found a profound peace within himself, as well as a new love for those that held him captive.

One night he had a vision of an angel, that said to go to the Irish Coast, and there he would find the ship that would take him back home. On foot, he walked over 200 miles to the coast. There he found a British ship, that took him back home to England.

But he did not leave his faith behind. He continued to study, and eventually became a priest.

He had another vision one night during prayer. An angel told him, to go back to Ireland to convert those that formerly held him as a slave.

Now you, or I, might have rebelled against such a thought, holding contempt, or even hate, for those that locked us away, stealing our years, and our energies.

But he had only love. Had he not been held captive and stolen away from his past lifestyle he most likely would’ve become a nonreligious farmer – at best.

Through his adversity, he discovered everything important.

He went back to Ireland and spent 40 years there among the people that he loved, and that loved him. He was given the title “Patricius” which literally means “Father of the citizens.”

He died March 17, 1461. And we celebrate the way he lived – not as a victim of years lost, but of life gained through strong spiritual awareness.

He once said, “Before, I was humiliated. I was like a stone that lies in deep mud. God who is mighty came and in God’s compassion raised me up and exalted me very high and placed me on top of the wall.

During his life, he pointed to a rare symbol of the four leaf clover. Hard to find, often overlooked, he taught it is the way to live, and discover full life, every day, no matter what outer circumstances you temporarily find yourself in.

The first leaf is for faith. Faith always comes first, and when it is found, it strengthens the person in truthfulness and trustworthiness.

The second leaf is for hope. Founded upon the first, hope is a positive element related to future outcomes in one’s life. No longer imagining the worst, you imagine the best, because God goes ahead of you preparing your way.

The third leaf is for love. Not just love for another person, but love in appreciation of nature, all people – even past enemies – and work.

Lastly, luck. Not the luck of chance, but the luck of spirituality, knowing the actions we take today, will bring fruitful results because of our ever-abiding faith in God.

My favorite quote of Saint Patrick is, “Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me.”

THAT is the way, and the truth.

Saturday Inspirations

(Submitted with our great thanks)

A beautiful story!

“Watch out! You nearly broad sided that car!” My father yelled at me. “Can’t you do anything right?”

Those words hurt worse than blows. I turned my head toward the elderly man, in the seat beside me, daring me to challenge him. A lump rose in my throat as I averted my eyes. I wasn’t prepared for another battle.

“I saw the car, Dad. Please don’t yell at me when I’m driving.”

My voice was measured and steady, sounding far calmer than I really felt.

Dad glared at me, then turned away and settled back. At home I left Dad in front of the television and went outside to collect my thoughts … dark, heavy clouds hung in the air with a promise of rain. The rumble of distant thunder seemed to echo my inner turmoil. What could I do about him?

Dad had been a lumberjack in Washington and Oregon. He had enjoyed being outdoors and had reveled in pitting his strength against the forces of nature. He had entered grueling lumberjack competitions, and had placed often.

The shelves in his house were filled with trophies that attested to his prowess.

The years marched on relentlessly. The first time he couldn’t lift a heavy log, he joked about it; but later that same day I saw him outside alone, straining to lift it. He became irritable whenever anyone teased him about his advancing age, or when he couldn’t do something he had done as a younger man. Four days after his sixty-seventh birthday, he had a heart attack. An ambulance sped him to the hospital while a paramedic administered CPR to keep blood and oxygen flowing.

At the hospital, Dad was rushed into an operating room. He was lucky … he survived. But something inside Dad died. His zest for life was gone. He obstinately refused to follow doctor’s orders.

Suggestions and offers of help were turned aside with sarcasm and insults.

The number of visitors thinned, then finally stopped altogether. Dad was left alone.

My husband, Dick, and I asked Dad to come live with us on our small farm. We hoped the fresh air and rustic atmosphere would help him adjust.

Within a week after he moved in, I regretted the invitation. It seemed nothing was satisfactory. He criticized everything I did. I became frustrated and moody. Soon I was taking my pent-up anger out on Dick. We began to bicker and argue.

Alarmed, Dick sought out our pastor and explained the situation. The clergyman set up weekly counseling appointments for us. At the close of each session he prayed, asking God to soothe Dad’s troubled mind.

But the months wore on and God was silent. Something had to be done and it was up to me to do it.

The next day I sat down with the phone book and methodically called each of the mental health clinics listed in the Yellow Pages. I explained my problem to each of the sympathetic voices that answered in vain.

Just when I was giving up hope, one of the voices suddenly exclaimed, “I just read something that might help you! Let me go get the article.”

I listened as she read. The article described a remarkable study done at a nursing home. All the patients were under treatment for chronic depression. Yet their attitudes had improved dramatically when they were given responsibility for a dog.

I drove to the animal shelter that afternoon. After I filled out a questionnaire, a uniformed officer led me to the kennels. The odor of disinfectant stung my nostrils as I moved down the row of pens. Each contained five to seven dogs. Long-haired dogs, curly-haired dogs, black dogs, spotted dogs all jumped up, trying to reach me. I studied each one but rejected one after the other for various reasons too big, too small, too much hair.

As I neared the last pen a dog in the shadows of the far corner struggled to his feet, walked to the front of the run and sat down. It was a pointer, one of the dog world’s aristocrats. But this was a caricature of the breed.

Years had etched his face and muzzle with shades of gray. His hip bones jutted out in lopsided triangles. But it was his eyes that caught and held my attention. Calm and clear, they beheld me unwaveringly.

I pointed to the dog. “Can you tell me about him?”

The officer looked, then shook his head in puzzlement. “He’s a funny one.

“Appeared out of nowhere and sat in front of the gate. We brought him in, figuring someone would be right down to claim him. That was two weeks ago, and we’ve heard nothing. His time is up tomorrow.”

He gestured helplessly.

As the words sank in I turned to the man in horror. “You mean you’re going to kill him?”

“Ma’am,” he said gently, “that’s our policy. We don’t have room for every unclaimed dog.”

I looked at the pointer again. The calm brown eyes awaited my decision.

“I’ll take him,” I said.

I drove home with the dog on the front seat beside me. When I reached the house I honked the horn twice. I was helping my prize out of the car when Dad shuffled onto the front porch … “Ta-da! Look what I got for you, Dad!” I said excitedly.

Dad looked, then wrinkled his face in disgust. “If I had wanted a dog I would have gotten one. And I would have picked out a better specimen than that bag of bones. Keep it! I don’t want it.” Dad waved his arm scornfully and turned back toward the house.

Anger rose inside me. It squeezed together my throat muscles and pounded into my temples. “You’d better get used to him, Dad. He’s staying!”

Dad ignored me. “Did you hear me, Dad?” I screamed.

At those words Dad whirled angrily, his hands clenched at his sides, his eyes narrowed and blazing with hate. We stood glaring at each other like duelists, when suddenly the pointer pulled free from my grasp. He wobbled toward my dad and sat down in front of him. Then slowly, carefully, he raised his paw.

Dad’s lower jaw trembled as he stared at the uplifted paw. Confusion replaced the anger in his eyes. The pointer waited patiently. Then Dad was on his knees hugging the animal.

It was the beginning of a warm and intimate friendship. Dad named the pointer Cheyenne.

Together he and Cheyenne explored the community. They spent long hours walking down dusty lanes. They spent reflective moments on the banks of streams, angling for tasty trout. They even started to attend Sunday services together, Dad sitting in a pew and Cheyenne lying quietly at his feet.

Dad and Cheyenne were inseparable throughout the next three years. Dad’s bitterness faded, and he and Cheyenne made many friends. Then late one night I was startled to feel Cheyenne’s cold nose burrowing through our bed covers. He had never before come into our bedroom at night.

I woke Dick, put on my robe and ran into my father’s room. Dad lay in his bed, his face serene. But his spirit had left quietly sometime during the night.

Two days later my shock and grief deepened when I discovered Cheyenne lying dead beside Dad’s bed. I wrapped his still form in the rag rug he had slept on. As Dick and I buried him near a favorite fishing hole, I silently thanked the dog for the help he had given me in restoring Dad’s peace of mind.

The morning of Dad’s funeral dawned overcast and dreary. This day looks like the way I feel, I thought, as I walked down the aisle to the pews reserved for family. I was surprised to see the many friends Dad and Cheyenne had made filling the church. The pastor began his eulogy. It was a tribute to both Dad and the dog who had changed his life.

And then the pastor turned to Hebrews 13:2. “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.”

“I’ve often thanked God for sending that angel,” he said.

For me, the past dropped into place, completing a puzzle that I had not seen before: the sympathetic voice that had just read the right article … Cheyenne’s unexpected appearance at the animal shelter … his calm acceptance and complete devotion to my father … and the proximity of their deaths. And suddenly I understood. I knew that God had answered my prayers after all.

Life is too short for drama or petty things, so laugh hard, love truly and forgive quickly.

NEW BEGINNINGS

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and the new things I now declare.”
Isaiah 42:9

Even when circumstances seem to have forced a person to let go of some dream, or to change the direction of his or her life, they need not feel that all is lost, or that they should give up. It is never too late to begin life again, to grasp new opportunities, to turn to new endeavors, and to seek new and greater accomplishments than ever before.

Instead of thinking of what might have been, you can release thoughts of yesterday and begin again, today, right where you are.

God has placed Divine help within your grasp. God is with you, and within you. Listen and you will be inspired again.

How do you know when it is God’s voice speaking to you? The still, small voice says things about you that are so good, so loving, and so great that you, as a human being, may have a hard time comprehending.

If it is your voice coming from your own mind, it may be what the Chinese call “the chattering monkeys.” This is the voice that always tells you the worst, instead of the best.

Listen, in prayer, and you will hear God’s voice showing you the way to victorious life. This voice is rarely audible; this is why it is called the still, small voice. It often comes as an impression, or an idea.

As you approach life with an unwavering faith in God’s power with you, you find new doors being revealed to you and new paths shown to your awareness. You will be strengthened in mind, body, and soul. You will be inspired to enter into new life with vitality and joy instead of fear.

If you tend to resist change, you can re-educate your thinking so that you view change as necessary and good for your growth and unfoldment. Growth is part of life, and you cooperate with life when you bless changing conditions and circumstances.

Do not constantly look to the past, but instead use the fuel of the good in the past to move you on your path to the future. Walk towards tomorrow with a feeling of pleasant anticipation.

When you open a letter, or answer the telephone or doorbell, do so with a feeling of pleasant anticipation.

Say, “I go to meet my God good!”

You can extend this same attitude to larger matters also.

You do not allow yourself to become fearful or resistant when confronted with changes, large or small. As you welcome new beginnings, you regard it as an adventure leading to a fuller, more useful, and happier life. You keep an open mind to change; therefore, you are receptive to new experiences.

You go forward with the assurance that tomorrow, and every tomorrow, hold good in store for you because God is already there, preparing the way.

You live, today, filled with faith in God, and the goodness of God.

“Be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead!”
1 Peter 1:6

An elderly woman and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright freckles, spent the day at the zoo.

Lots of children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with tiger paws.

“You’ve got so many freckles, there’s no place to paint!” a girl in the line said to the little fellow.

Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head. His grandmother knelt down next to him.

“I love your freckles. When I was a little girl I always wanted freckles,” she said, while tracing her finger across the child’s cheek.

“Freckles are beautiful.”

The boy looked up, “Really?”

“Of course,” said the grandmother. “Why just name me one thing that’s prettier than freckles.”

The little boy thought for a moment, peered intensely into his grandma’s face and softly whispered …

“Wrinkles.”

Some people can’t enjoy life, for they live behind the barrier of self-complaint.

Life is a journey. Many people are waiting so much for the imagined destination they forget to enjoy the miles they are traveling.

I remember counseling a woman years ago, that told me she would not give herself permission to be happy, until she lost 20 pounds. What a waste.

Some people complain their way through the day, criticizing and not liking their present situation. Some look in the mirror and find their number one excuse to not be happy. They always find something wrong, and do not believe they are worthy of acceptance until they make some change.

Change can be as minor as a hairdo, weight loss, or as major as plastic surgery before they will like what they have.

I have also known many, of what you would call, “the beautiful people.” I have rarely known one that liked what they presently had, for they would always find something wrong.

Many people do not come up to the standard of self-love, truthfully, they do not even have self like.

We must view ourselves, and our life, as God views us. God loves us and God loves life – God is the Creator of life.

Admittedly, we might not be to that level, but on our journey we must walk in that direction by at least liking what we have and being thankful for it.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, help me to follow You, being thankful and liking what I have.
I do not struggle and strain through every mile.
I do not complain my way through the day.
I seek the higher way.
Even when I do not like something, I do not allow that to stop me from the enjoyment of life.
I ask in prayer, help me to see the good, instead of the bad.

In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION:

With God’s help, I like what I presently have.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE:

“The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; They just like everything they have.”

LIFE-GIVING HEALING

“Say to those who are of a fearful heart, “Be strong, fear not!”
Isaiah 35:4

Every day, Positive Christianity prays with people. The majority of our prayer requests are for personal healing, or for the healing of a family member, or friend.

When you are in the hospital, or are visiting the hospital room of someone you care about deeply, this can be a time that is charged with emotion. Many times, we face these difficulties with great fear.

With God’s help, we can be strong and not have any fear for ourselves or for others.

When you have a health challenge, you become still, in prayer, and attune yourself to the Divine healing power of God with you and within you. God is your Creator that gave you life, and this same Creator can give you new life. This renewing, revitalizing power is continuously at work, in and through you, strengthening and perfecting every cell. You center your faith in this life-giving power and let go anxious, fearful thoughts. There is no condition more powerful than God’s healing activity.

If there are loved ones or friends who have a need for health and wholeness, you pray for them, knowing that with them and within them is the life-giving power of God. Whatever the condition, whatever the appearance, you have faith to know that they are one with God, one with God’s life-giving power and strength, that the healing activity of God is doing a perfect work in them.

You pray for yourself and others. You are blessed with wholeness; and you are a blessing to those that you are praying for today.

In the absence of fear you have new and profound strength, directly from God. In Philippians 4:13, our Bible states, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me!” “All things” include profound healing.

A definition of the word strength is “an inherent asset.” The fearless Christ Spirit with us is an inherent asset. Let us realize what a mighty resource we have for healing in Christ.

Christ is our inner reservoir of strength and power, ever-present and ever-available.

We can also receive a Divine healing of our minds – accepting a renewal of our minds, having this same mind that was in Christ Jesus, illuminating our human mind, increasing our ability to learn, to remember, and to understand.

The Christ Spirit undergirds our fine doctors, nurses, and medicines, providing a strong, stable, and lasting support.

Through prayer, you draw upon your inherent asset; strength and power, sufficient for every healing, are released in and through you and in and through those for whom you pray.

Today, you give thanks for God’s life-giving healing and the increase of the inherent strength through which you and those that you pray for can do all things.

“Hence we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper.'”
Hebrews 13:6

Let us pray,

Dear God, give me the spiritual perception to see things from a higher vantage point. I pray dear God that I have the spiritual insight to stop complaining my way through life. Help me to enjoy every moment and see the good. I pray that I form a new spiritual habit of looking for and finding the God-given good in everything. I pray that I remember to give thanks continuously on the good days, and the seemingly bad. Help me discover the silver lining in every cloud.

Let us take a journey to God in the silence of prayer. God is here; love is here; peace is here.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

In your mind’s eye, I ask you to create a scene high on a mountain, overlooking a valley. There may be some other peaks behind. See a scene of great beauty, a restful, serene scene.

Sit yourself down safely amongst the flowers, the grass, the sweet-smelling herbs, and the trees, and look out at this natural vista. Look out high above the world. Look out and contemplate what is going on down there; down in the valley, down in the towns and villages, down in the cities, factories, schools, churches, and homes.

What is going on down there?

Contemplate this in the silence of prayer …

From up here, it is lovely and good, and there is great peace. Could it be that, truly, it is also the same down there as well?

Let us contemplate our lives. Could it be that this great peace, up here, is also true, right where we live?

Let us take this vision of God-given good and carried this deeply inside ourselves. Take a deep breath and slowly release it. Carry the seed of truth of God’s goodness deep inside your heart.

Affirm silently to yourself: God is good and I express God’s vision.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

As you breathe in, affirm in prayer, “God is good in my life right now.” As you breathe out, affirm in prayer, “I express God through my vision and opinions of what I see.”

We will sit here for a few moments, at this great height, on our prayer mountain, affirming these two truths – on the in breath, affirm in prayer, “God is good in my life right now,” and on the out breath, affirm in prayer, “I express God through my vision and opinions of what I see.”

Rest in the silence of prayer …

This is the truth of God. Carry it with you all this day. Down here in the world, carry with you the vision of God’s good in your life right now.

For this Godly vision, and this peace, we do give thanks.

In the name of Jesus Christ … Amen.

“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.”
Exodus 20:16

THE TRIPLE FILTER – In ancient Greece (469 – 399 BC), Socrates was well known for his wisdom.

One day, the great philosopher came upon an acquaintance who said excitedly, “Socrates, do you know what I just heard about one of your students?”

“Wait a moment,” Socrates replied. “Before telling me anything I’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Triple Filter Test.”

“Triple filter?”

“That’s right,” Socrates continued. “Before you talk to me about my student, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?”

“No,” the man said, “actually, I just heard about it and … “

“All right,” said Socrates. “So, you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my student something good?”

“No, on the contrary … “

“So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about him, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still pass the test though, because there’s one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my student going to be useful to me?”

“No, not really.”

“Well,” concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me is neither true, nor good, nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?”

As spiritual people we must use our every word to encourage and not to destroy. When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Proverbs 11: 9;13 – “With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape … A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.”

Gossip is addictive. But it says more about the speaker, than it does about the one being spoken about.

Proverbs 18:8 – “The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts.”

Gossip is like sugar, addictive to the lowest parts of us, and not good for us, especially in high doses.

Proverbs 12:6 – “The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.”.

Truth in words, especially behind a person’s back, spiritually uplifts the speaker, and the one spoken about. It is an absolute necessity in spirituality.

Proverbs 20:19 – “A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man who talks too much.”

Avoid gossip, at all cost, walk away from it, and close your ears.

Proverbs 22:11 – “He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend.”

Proverbs 23:15-16 – “My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad; my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.”

What passes over your lips each day? Are your words typically negative, critical, gossiping, deceptive, illusory, justifying, blaming, manipulative and argumentative?

Are they more uplifting, inspirational, positive, questioning, beautiful, loving, universal, truthful, accepting and supportive?

The throat is our center of expression. Who we are sneaks out in our attitudes and in what we say.

“Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.” — Pearl Strachan Hurd

As the Bible states, “The wise weigh their words on a scale with gold.”
