Happy Thanksgiving

Read aloud in prayer:

Today dear God, I give thanks and I praise you. My world is filled with so many bountiful blessings that I cannot count them all.

As I enter into this special week of giving thanks, I will look for reasons to be thankful. As I think of the life which sustains me, the light which guides me, the love which warms my heart, I say, “Praise God!”

As I give of myself today, my heart is filled with love. I see the truth. I have understanding. As I give of myself today, I will make a difference. I will do all in my power to be a light and to bring a blessing to my surroundings by a thanks-give-away.

As I reach out to praise You God in everyone I see, I reach out to praise God-light everywhere I see in others with my God-vision. I praise You God for all we love which is all-great. We all live, move, and have our being in Your love.

Today in prayer:

I begin a thanks – giving.

I GIVE thanks to God for the gift of life – by living it triumphantly.

I GIVE thanks to God for talents and abilities – by investing them for the common good.

I GIVE thanks to God for all others have done for me – by doing things for others and giving joyous love to others.

I GIVE thanks to God for opportunities – by accepting them as open doors to new achievements.

I GIVE thanks to God for beauty – by helping to make the world more beautiful.

In gratitude rest in the silence of prayer …

I GIVE thanks to God for inspiration – by trying to be an inspiration to others.

I GIVE thanks to God for good health – by taking care of my body.

I GIVE thanks to God for creative ideas that enrich life – by adding my own creative contribution to life.

I GIVE thanks to God – by making a contribution to life.

In gratitude rest in the silence of prayer …

I GIVE thanks to God for each new day – by believing it will be the best day yet.

For these things we are thankful, and I ask you to rest in the silence of prayer.

I live in light of God. By the light I see, I can see God has created good. I was created with love to be a caring person. The people with whom I live, work, and associate were created in love, and I give thanks for them.

I am empowered to be responsible and to create a life which fulfills my dreams and meets my needs.

I GIVE thanks to God – by lifting other people up to fulfill their dreams.

Jesus Christ came into this world to teach the truth of empowerment and responsibility. With a trusting spirit, I accept the empowerment and responsibility, with love, wisdom, and the power of God as my own nature – and I share it with others.

In Thanks – giving to God, I share these truths with the world. Wherever I am, may the truth of God live in example through me.

Many people have faith in things that they should not. Worry, for example, is not something that we should have faith in, and neither are fears deserving of our faith.

What we truly believe will happen tends to come to pass – good or bad. Faith in God moves you forward in life. Faith in God is a growth producer that encourages you to reach new levels of understanding and experience.

The ease or the difficulty you have, while going through a challenge, is determined by your faith towards it. A positive attitude can be the key that unlocks the door to untold blessings in your life. Faith in God believes in the unseen, and beyond the physical appearances, that God is working in your life to bring about the best possible outcome.

When we are resistant to life, we tend to think of the possible negative effects that it may have on our lives. Because of this, we may miss a special blessing from God. Every day is given as a gift from God; we have free will to make a good or bad. How each day affects us is UP TO US. If a sudden change seems to throw you off-balance, remember that you are a child of God. As such, you are an heir to all good. These Truths never change, and when you remind yourself of this, it steadies you during any time of adjustment.

Fear freezes us in our path, worry scatters us, but faith moves us forward in profound ways that we cannot even imagine with our human mind. Oftentimes, our worry is not for ourselves, but for others. But, how much more of a gift we give the person we are concerned about when we totally immerse them in the faith of God by believing in good outcomes.

Wanting to do more for others but not knowing just what would be most helpful can leave you feeling confused. This is especially true if you feel that you are alone and carry the burden of responsibility for an infant, child, or adult in need of special care nurturing.

However, when you preface whatever you do for others with the realization that you are actively working with God, you can give the most helpful care and attention.

The care you give contains generous portions of God’s love and peace. You move forward in every relationship when you move forward in faith. Today you lift up your anchor from areas of concern and problems. Today you actively anchor yourself in the belief of God and all possibilities.

Whether you are a friend, teacher, spouse, parent, or other family member, you can be loving and caring when you invite the Spirit of God to be a part of all that you do for those who care about.

Your prayers, today, are based upon forward thinking; you care for your own life in this way, and in faith, you give encouragement and love that will be the foundation of the care that you give for others.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God I believe, mold may, shape me, into the person that You meant me to be. I am ready, willing, to stand on a foundation of my faith.

Thanksgiving Prayer and Meditation

I am thankful as I accept this truth:

“Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Dear God, Hold me close, loving Presence of God. Be with me through the night hours and be with me through the day. Hold Thou my hand. Guide Thou my feet. Comfort Thou my heart. Fill me with new resolve and a knowing that all is well. I trust you to be with me and therefore I trust myself. In total gratitude, I trust my life, my hopes, my dreams, and my future to Your care.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Where I am, You are, dear God. In my need, You answer me. In my joy, You smile upon me. When I cannot fathom the ways and the wherefores, Your Light shines steadily, beckoning me on – on to the Truth as yet unknown. To depths of understanding as yet un-guessed at.

Be with me, Lord. Hold me close, today, this moment, tomorrow, and in the days to come. I am holding Your hand. I shall not fear. I thank You, my loving Lord, for Your Presence.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I strive, this moment, to allow more of God to flow through me – God’s love, the greatest expression in the world. Love is that Divine quality that makes our world go around. Love is the enthusiasm of God inside of us.

In total gratitude, this moment, feeling God’s Presence, I feel God’s love. And in that feeling, that love, I feel a sense of love for all those that I know and meet. God always externalizes at the level of my concept. And I examine my mental equivalence, strong power plans ahead, progress happens on my spiritual path.

Absolute faith in God begets absolute faith in God. My faith in God is measured by the faith in ourselves. And this faith is a mind activity that is happening in me, this moment.

There is a dynamic power, a movement of God that is happening in mind and in body. It is that movement of God that knows that when I ask for something in prayer, I receive a definite result.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I pray within, the measureless, boundless, eternal of God’s all good. I ask nothing amiss and therefore, I miss nothing.

In the great waves of God, my entire being is flooded with spiritual light; an inward knowingness, a glorious power is flooding not only my body temple and my mind, but also my home and my business. They take on a superb dominion of God. My very work that I do with my hands and my mind take on a superb dominion of God.

This moment, as you rest in the silence, you prepare yourself for an adventure – an adventure in faith, an adventure with God, an adventure of going the extra mile on the high pathway of life.

Rest in the Presence of God.

I am aware of God. My mind is flooded with Divine ideas, ideas that tell me about my possibilities, ideas that tell me about the Presence that is surrounding me, everywhere present, and within me. I am becoming awake, and aware.

I know, with certainty, that I am not alone. I know that I have a Power with me that will help me overcome, to go over the mountain or to tunnel or to go around any difficulty I face.

There is a Power that is with me that will help me achieve success. God will give me health, and God will give me a new awareness and new ideas. Whatever I need, today, it is in God’s Presence that is my answer is found; and the Divine awareness of the Presence makes all things possible to me.

All things good are prepared for me, now, by the Presence of God. In this moment, in total awareness, I say, “Thank You, God,” for I know the Truth. I know who I am, and I live within that awareness.

Thank You, God, for everything.

In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

The famous dramatic life-transforming system to change your daily focus.
Most calendars deal with the future, writing down dates, and deadlines to remember.

Always carry the calendar with you in a pocket or purse and record things as they happen, or you will forget. Blessings are accumulative. You define your day and accumulate your life by what you focus on. Daily you will build a great life.

Example. My personal entries for a typical given day. These are written out longer to explain them, but I only put in a few words to remind me of what happened in my personal calendar.
Number one: ran into an old friend by chance at Starbucks – delightful time – deep laughter and joy.
Number two: nicest letter from someone in Australia saying how positive daily inspiration and videos changed her life.
Number three: received a donation that will fund the ministry for over 10 days ahead.
Number four: found valuable items missing since I moved, misplaced by movers.
Number five: received really good news about my granddaughter.

There were actually many more blessings, but I picked the top five at the end of the day.
Go through your day, every day, and
write down FIVE THINGS that you are thankful for
on that date, in your calendar.
Try to write down five different things every day.
Look for the good – you will find it!
Review before sleep each night.
Review whole week every Sunday.
Review your year of blessings on Thanksgiving Day.
Focus and remembrance is the key to building your great life.

While shopping in a food store, two nuns happened to pass by the beer cooler. One nun said to the other, “Wouldn’t a nice cool beer or two taste wonderful on a hot summer evening?”

The second nun answered, “Indeed it would Sister, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable buying beer as I am certain that it would cause a scene at the check-out counter.”

“I can handle that without a problem” she replied as she picked up a six-pack and headed for the check-out.

The cashier had a surprised look on his face when the two nuns arrived with a six-pack of beer.

“We use beer for washing our hair” the nun said, “A shampoo, of sorts, if you will.”

Without blinking an eye, the cashier reached under the counter, pulled out a package of pretzel sticks and placed them in the bag with the beer. He then looked the nun straight in the eye, smiled and said, “The curlers are on the house.”

Grandma’s Peanuts

John is out with his friends and stops by his grandmother’s house for a visit.

There’s a bowl of peanuts on the coffee table,

So, John and his friends start snacking on them.

When they’re ready to leave, his friends say, “Nice to meet you, ma’am, and thank you for the peanuts.”

Grandma says, “You’re welcome . Ever since I lost my dentures, all I can do is suck the chocolate off of them.”

The local bar was so sure that its bartender was the strongest man around that they offered a standing $1000 bet. The bartender would squeeze a lemon until all the juice ran into a glass, and hand the lemon to a patron. Anyone who could squeeze one more drop of juice out would win the money.

Many people had tried over time (weightlifters, longshoremen, etc.) but nobody could do it.

One day this scrawny little man came into the bar, wearing thick glasses and a polyester suit, and said in a tiny squeaky voice ” I’d like to try the bet”

After the laughter had died down, the bartender said OK, grabbed a lemon, and squeezed away. Then he handed the wrinkled remains of the rind to the little man.

But the crowd’s laughter turned to total silence as the man clenched his fist around the lemon and six drops fell into the glass!!

As the crowd cheered, the bartender paid the $1000, and asked the little man “what do you do for a living?

Are you a lumberjack, a weightlifter, or what?”

The scrawny little man replied “I work for the IRS.”

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

God is infinite good, and God’s Spirit of life and love permeates everyone and everything on this marvelous planet that we call home. Today in prayer we give thanks for the beauty that is everywhere on earth and for the diversity of people, plants and animals that make our home a wonder-filled place to live. With God’s help conditions can only improve as the loving Spirit of God moves through each of us to bless the Earth and all that it contains.

Thank You God!

God’s Rosebud

A new minister
was walking with an older,
more seasoned minister
in the garden one day.

Feeling a bit insecure
about what God
had for him to do,
he was asking the older preacher
for some advice.

The older preacher
walked up to a rosebush
and handed the young preacher
a rosebud and told him
to open it
without tearing off any petals.

The young preacher
looked in disbelief
at the older preacher
and was trying to figure out
what a rosebud
could possibly have to do
with his wanting to know
the will of God
for his life and ministry.

But because of his great respect
for the older preacher,
he proceeded to try to unfold the rose,
while keeping every petal intact.

It wasn’t long
before he realized
how impossible
this was to do.

Noticing the younger preacher’s
inability to unfold the rosebud
without tearing it,
the older preacher began
to recite the following poem …

“It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God’s design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.”

“The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so easily,
But in my hands they die.”

“If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God’s design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?”

Positive Daily Inspiration - November 18, 2022 - GOD IS WITH YOU NOW!

“Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend to heaven, thou art there! If I make my bed in Sheol, thou art there! If I take up the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there thy hand shall lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”
Psalms 139:7-10

These words of the psalmist talk of God’s total help by constantly offering to guide and protect. When you read them, you are reassured by their strength and beauty. They inspire you more when you realize that the author was writing in a time of conflict and danger. In biblical times, life was far more dangerous than it is now, but people with faith in God found constant help and inspiration to sustain them, just as they do, today.

God is your help and inspiration in your every need. Place yourself and those that you care about in God’s loving care. First thing in the morning, when you get up, entrust your day to God’s keeping. Before you go to sleep that night, again acknowledge God’s ever-abiding Spirit. From this attitude of calmness and poise will come new power, strength, and Divine realization. You will realize that God is truly taking care of that which you give to God’s charge. You will have the assurance, conviction, and realization that you, your life, and all that you care about are safe and secure in the Divine loving presence.

The realization that you live, move, and have your being in God brings you to a sense of peace and security. If you have been holding thoughts of fear for yourself or for those that you care about, you release those thoughts now. You acknowledge that you and your loved ones abide, eternally, in the protecting presence of God.

You cultivate the habit of saying NO to fear, and saying YES to God, in your daily living. All the seeming hazards of the world bring no fear or uneasiness, because your faith is centered in God’s abiding presence. Today, you put your whole trust in God, and God will keep you and those that you care about safe and secure. God will watch over you and shield you, and guide you, and bless you with wisdom and good judgment. God will bring you safely through every experience.

God’s presence is instantaneously available to you. You are established in a citadel of strength, for you are established in God which nothing can prevail against. God is indeed a help in time of trouble, a refuge, and the fortress for those who need God. God’s promise of help will always stand, for God always answers faithful prayers.

Jesus always said that God will be with God’s children wherever they may be. How heartening it is to know that no matter where you or your loved ones go, you are never separated from God whose Spirit covers the globe like a protecting mantle. Above, around, within, below is God’s protecting presence, and for each one who looks to God there is love, peace, courage, and life. Even if those who need help lack faith in themselves, others can pray for them and the Spirit of God will answer. Wherever there is faith and trust, there the angel of the Lord spreads the secret shelter of God’s wings.

God is always victorious. Prayer transforms the world. The power that is with you is mightier than anything that can happen to you.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Say aloud these prayers with us today:

I am centered and poised in the Christ and nothing can disturb the calm peace of my soul. No situation frightens me, because God’s Divine intelligence is now revealing to me just what to do in every emergency. The angel of God’s presence guides and guards me. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of danger, I will fear no evil, for God is with me to defend and deliver me. I am one with God and God is one with me, together we can accomplish anything.

Ephesians 5:14

A person can be wide awake, yet not awake, in the real sense of spirituality.

You do not want to live your days in a routine, cut-and-dried manner, without joyousness, without a feeling of wonder and imagination. You do not want to settle for a half awake, half a life, way of life. You are meant for more. You are meant to be a dynamic part of this adventure called life.

There is that in us which calls us to life, which says, “Awake thou that sleepest … Christ shall give thee light.”

Today, you respond to the call of the Christ, the call of the dreams and hopes that lie dormant within you. Today can be the day that you dare to break old patterns of thought and action. Today can be the day that you wake up and live.

Say aloud in prayer three times, “I awake to life. I awake to love. I awake to joy. God, with your help, I enter into life with a new spirit.”

As you awake to life, the pure, perfect, ageless life of God moves in and through you, giving you new life through every season of your life. Today, you think about the life of God and feel the wonder of it in your life. It is untouched by time; it remains ever strong, vital, vibrant, and joyous. Your part is to affirm, in prayer, your oneness with the life of God, and to believe in its perfect work in recharging your life and your awareness of life.

When you decide to fully awake from sleepy living — you can expect tremendous results. Healing takes place. You are not only healed, but you are filled with new life and vitality. You rejoice in God and in the life of God. The full, wide-awake life of God is yours. You make the most of it, and you let it make the most of you.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, I make a conscious decision, today, to wake up and fully experience life. Intensify my senses. Intensify my focus. I pray that I do not miss anything and that everything I see is seen with perception of wonder and awe. I choose to live fully and enjoy my life. I pray that I enter into the adventure of living with new God-given excitement. I pray that I am awake to hope and anticipation. I choose to be wide-eyed and filled with joyous aliveness. Psalm 1:3

I decree, in Jesus Christ name, that I am now connected to God, my Source of all-good. I am open and receptive to constant supply from all God-directed avenues. Nothing stops my good from appearing, every day in every way. I am delighted and surprised by the effectiveness of this prayer. I accept my financial good, knowing that I am a worthy child of God. I refuse to put off to any other day miracle streams of money coming into my life now. I am ready for a miracle. I choose, in prayer, to be at the place in the perfect time for unexpected blessings.

I believe, completely, in God and in God’s ability to bring serendipity in my finances. I am open to the full good of God flowing to me now. Abundance is mine, in expected and unexpected ways. With every blessing, I remember my Source in thanksgiving and in giving back, so that I may do God’s work, being a channel of blessings for others. Every day that I pray this prayer, I have strong evidence of its effects on my daily life. I trust God, fully, to bring lasting, unexpected income through career advances, opportunities, and open doors. I consent to unexpected paths that will bring unexpected, financial good for me and for others that I bless.

I agree not to become a success, selfishly, but to use my success as a springboard for others to become successful and prosperous. I pray for unexpected joy and happiness as my soul goes on the quest of constant, positive surprise. I pray that each day is a NEW day. I consent in my free-will to positive surprise. I pray from an attitude of total expectation. I accept my good in advance and I am ready for unexpected opportunity. I agree to say yes, surrendering all fears of success to You, dear God.

I pray for unexpected friendship, and the joys of love agreeing to give the same to those that I meet.

I pray that there is a wellspring of good ideas flowing into my mind. I accept these ideas and the understanding of them so that they may be implemented into my life and affairs.

Financial supply, ever-increasing, is the order of every day. I accept this truth because God is my partner, in every aspect of my future life. I consent to God working through me. God, in my mind, brings me guidance, wisdom, and genius ability. With God working through me, I am a success beyond my wildest human dreams.

In prayer, like Jesus, I give thanks in advance, knowing with certainty, that the good claimed in prayer IS NOW on its way. The appearance of the good may be different than I expect in human mind, but that is the joy of the surprise and discovery. I know, dear God, that it is always better than I could comprehend ahead of time.

In prayer, I bless every day and the unexpected income that it contains. I have enough to spare and to share. “Prove me now,” says God concerning tithing. I prove God, continuously, and I discover that I cannot out give God. I freely give a tenth to God’s work where I attend church, or receive my spiritual nourishment.

I have full faith that this prayer is activated in me now, and expanding and eliminating the limitations in my life, making me open and receptive to total prosperity. God is touching my life, right now, and new income is coming to me with Godspeed!

It is so, right now in Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

Jerry is the manager of a restaurant in Missouri. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say.

When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would always reply, “If I were any better, I would be twins!”

Many of the waiters at his restaurant quit their jobs when he changed jobs, so they could follow him around from restaurant to restaurant.

The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude.

He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was always there, telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him, “I don’t get it! No one can be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?”

Jerry replied, “Each morning I wake up and say to myself, I have two choices today. I can choose to be in a good mood or I can choose to be in a bad mood. I always choose to be in a good mood.

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim, or I can choose to learn from it. I always choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I always choose the positive side of life.”

“But it’s not always that easy,” I protested. “Yes, it is,” Jerry said “Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. It’s your choice how you live your life.”

Several years later, I heard that Jerry accidentally did something you are never supposed to do in the restaurant business: left the back door of his restaurant open one morning and was robbed by three armed men.

While trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Jerry was found quickly and rushed to the hospital. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.

I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, “If I were any better, I’d be twins. Want to see my scars?” I declined to see his wounds but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place.

“The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door,” Jerry replied. “Then, after they shot me, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or choose to die. I chose to live.”

“Weren’t you scared?” I asked. Jerry continued, “The paramedics were great. They kept telling me. I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the Emergency Room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I was dead ‘He’s a dead man.’ I knew I needed to take action.”

“What did you do?” I asked.

“Well, there was a big nurse shouting questions at me,” said Jerry. “She asked if I was allergic to anything.”

“‘Yes,’ I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, ‘Bullets!’ Over their laughter, I told them, ‘I am choosing to live. Please operate on me as if I am alive, not dead’.”

Jerry lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude.

I learned from him that every day you have the choice to either enjoy your life or to hate it.

The only thing that is truly yours that no one can control of or take from you is your attitude; so if you can take care of that, everything else in life becomes much easier.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Almighty God, help me to understand that peace does not come in rebellion or grieving, but is obtained through the calm of the soul. Grant that if I may be perplexed or worried today, I may have the power to control myself and wait in Thy strength.

Amen.
