Fullness in Life

“You have come to fullness of life in God, who is the head of ALL.”
Colossians 2:10

You stand assured in the truth of God that you have fullness of life in God, right now. There is no lack of life in your mind, body, or daily living.

God life shines through your mind as radiant intelligence. It fills every cell of your body with order and perfect functioning, and manifests itself in your daily living as harmony and right action.

You are blessed with fullness of life in every area of living.

You are serene, for you know that life is the true reality and that it is fully present and active within you, now and always. You have the clear understanding that God is life and that God’s life is active in your life. You identify with life joyously, completely, and confidently. You rejoice in the realization that life is ever at work in you and in all that concerns you. Your spirits are lifted; your faith is quickened; you have great expectations from God. You feel close to God in this peaceful and relaxed realization.

The fullness of life in God is blessing you, richly, in all ways. You rest on the promise of Romans 6:23, “The free gift of God is eternal life.”

Dear God, I ask that Your power of endless life fills me with flood tides of energy and dynamic inner reserves of power. I ask for You to feed my soul, nourish and restore me, and make me complete and whole.

I ask that Your life overflows into my home, business, profession, and causes it to move, act, circulate with newness of vigor, vitality, initiative, and ever-expanding ideas.

I am grateful that my whole being is teeming with Your eternal life. Fresh, invigorating, marvelous life pervades my mind and body and the very atmosphere I breathe. The life of God flows freely through me, constantly strengthening and renewing my body temple.

In the life of God, I am positive, fearless, and a free spirit.

Thank You God!

I breathe deeply of the zestful air. I rejoice in the beauty of Your creation, dear God. I lift my vision to the perfection and freedom that are mine in truth. I declare my oneness with the enduring life of God and know that any imperfections are healed. With God’s ever-abiding help I can radiate abundant, good health. I relax and rest in the rejuvenating life of God. With Your help, God, I pray that my mind is filled with thoughts of perfect health. Worry and fear cannot enter the mind that is stayed on God.

The eternal life of God is within, without, above, and below– an all encompassing presence. This eternal life is mine, and I claim it now.

Being scared in daily life is NOT fun.

Everyone is afraid of something. If you look closely, you will see that the root of all your fears is a lack of trust in God, or a lack of trust in your ability to handle whatever comes your way. Fear can be overcome.

Positive Christianity gives you seven steps to overcome anything that scares you.

1) Stop waiting for circumstances to be just right, or until you are sure you know what to do before you act. Fear does not go away unless you take risks to make your dreams come true. With each accomplishment comes new strength and improved self-esteem.

2) Keep a diary where you can write about the things that scare you. Notice where they occur, how anxious you feel, and what you do to deal with the situation. Over time, you will be able to see what works best for you and see how you have improved. You will find that faith in God takes away all fear.

3) Acknowledge the positive things in your life. Anxious people tend to overlook their own strengths. When you are scared, make a conscious effort to remember some past positive experience, instead of focusing on your failures.

4) Avoid catastrophic thinking. Ask yourself what the worst possible outcome of the situation could be. You will usually find that it’s something you could survive, even though you would not enjoy it. Having faced the worst possibility, it makes it easier to deal with what does come. Now, think about what God could bring to pass in the situation, to make it better.

5) Acknowledge your fears, but do not face them alone, face them with God. Many people try to mask their anxieties with busy activities. These may distract you from your anxiety for a while, but when they become avoidance techniques, anxiety eventually increases.

6) Stay focused on God. Much anxiety is the result of projecting yourself into future situations. Stay in the present, here and now, with God – since that is all you can control anyway.

7) Take it one step at a time. If you are overwhelmed at the thought of confronting an anxiety triggering situation, tackle one piece of that at a time with the help of God. Give yourself permission to repeat steps as many times, as it is necessary, for you to be completely comfortable.

God can and will take away your fears.

“If anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other.”
Colossians 3:13

Once upon a time, two brothers who lived on adjoining farms fell into conflict. It was the first serious rift in 40 years of farming side-by-side, sharing machinery and trading labor and goods as needed without a hitch.

Then the long collaboration fell apart. It began with a small misunderstanding and it grew into a major difference and finally, it exploded into an exchange of bitter words followed by weeks of silence.

One morning there was a knock on John’s door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter’s toolbox.

“I’m looking for a few days’ work,” he said. “Perhaps you would have a few small jobs here and there I could help with? Could I help you?”

“Yes,” said the older brother. “I do have a job for you. Look across the creek at that farm. That’s my neighbor. In fact, it’s my younger brother! Last week there was a meadow between us. He recently took his bulldozer to the river levee and now there is a creek between us. Well, he may have done this to spite me, but I’ll do him one better. See that pile of lumber by the barn? I want you to build me a fence an 8-foot fence – so I won’t need to see his place or his face anymore.”

The carpenter said, “I think I understand the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger and I’ll be able to do a job that pleases you.”

The older brother had to go to town, so he helped the carpenter get the materials ready and then he was off for the day. The carpenter worked hard all that day — measuring, sawing and nailing.

About sunset when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just finished his job.

The farmer’s eyes opened wide, his jaw dropped. There was no fence there at all.

It was a bridge. A bridge that stretched from one side of the creek to the other! A fine piece of work, handrails and all! And the neighbor, his younger brother, was coming toward them, his hand outstretched.

“You are quite a fellow to build this bridge after all I’ve said and done.”

The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge, and then they met in middle, taking each other’s hand. They turned to see the carpenter hoist his toolbox onto his shoulder.

“No, wait! Stay a few days. I’ve a lot of other projects for you,” said the older brother.

“I’d love to stay on,” the carpenter said, “but I have many more bridges to build.”

The forgiving love of God is with you always. Knowing this, you can be forgiving in all that you say and do. As God’s children you have God’s Spirit of love and forgiveness already within you.

If you feel that someone has said or done something hurtful or unloving, take a moment right now to forgive this person. Enfold this person in the forgiving love of God; see this person as God’s child, filled with God’s Spirit. Release any feeling of criticism or condemnation towards them.

As you go forward, living in radiating the forgiving truth of God to all whose lives you touch, you cannot attract anything that is unkind or unloving to yourself. Through your awareness of God’s forgiving power at work in and through you, you can bless all those that you live, work, and associate with. Hold fast to the thought that you are forgiving, and that you are forgiven, because you are God’s child expressing God’s Spirit of love, understanding, and forgiveness.

Do you need better relationships with others? Love promotes harmony and understanding. Love bridges differences in opinion; love makes a way for you to find points of agreement with others. Love brings light and clarity of thought when you need them. Love calls forth the best in you; and love opens your eyes to the best in others.

When I facilitate relationship seminars, I often talk about forgiveness. Forgiveness in today’s language means “release.” Holding on to something negative, forever, about another ONLY HURTS YOU.

Any unforgiveness needs a spiritual statute of limitations to protect you from doing undue harm to yourself. A statute of limitations is a period of time past, which you will not allow the old thoughts to rule in your life
In I Corinthians 13:8, the Bible states, “Love never ends.”

Love should never end, but all else not up to the standard of love should come to an end.

When you come to an occasion with a loving heart, you have come for giving love.

The ultimate gift that you can give, the gift that will last forever – is love!

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, there are times when it is so easy to forgive.
Spiritually, I understand.
I ask Your help when I feel as if it’s almost impossible for me to forgive.
God, I admit to You there are times when I can’t seem to get past a particular incident.
Spiritually, I remind myself that every person is of the love child of God, and every person is worthy of God’s unconditional love.
At this time, I may not be able to understand why something happened, but I pray that you will give me the understanding that I am the first one to benefit by being forgiving.
I ask dear God, for your loving spirit to move through me as love and compassion before moving out and on to others.

This day, dear God, I walk with the joyous step in gratitude of my blessings. Today is Your day, dear God. At the outset, I dedicate the minutes and the hours of this day to Your good purposes, and I dedicate myself to be a channel through which Your good can come forth. All that contains the day will be blessed by Your love and mine.

There are decisions to be made today, dear God, both routine and important. I need Your help in making them. I know that You stand ever ready to help me, to show me the way, so I began now to open myself to Your light and inspiration. I thank You throughout this day. I make myself receptive and willing to follow in the way You would have me go. Such an attitude makes me the grateful receiver of a constant inflow of Divine ideas.

Through Your loving direction, dear God, this is a day of confident living. Through Your guiding light, the events of this day will be illumined. For Your never-failing love, my soul and my heart sing praises and thankfulness.

Today dear God, in gratitude I think about, and believe in Your healing life. I concentrate on Divine strength in and through me. I know that God is the strength of my body and of my life. I have faith in the healing power of God with me and within me. In God, I am whole, vitally alive, and able to accomplish all that my heart desires.

Today, I think about, and believe in God has my source of supply. I believe that good can flow to me constantly and is directed to me by God. Believing in God, I give willingly, generously, and joyfully just as God constantly gives to me. Good fortune flows through my hands and my life, as God abundantly prospers me with good fortune.

I am blessed, because I am a blessing. I think about, and believe in Divine love, everywhere present, ever active, ever fulfilling in my life. I am loved, because I am loving. Divine love through me, constantly creates new wonders, miracles and blessings.

I think about, and believe in the truth of God, and my life is set free to be filled with health, love, prosperity, beauty, joy and harmony.

Today, dear God, I think about Your peace even when my outer world is in turmoil and I am given the peace that sets me free, and passes understanding.

Today is a day yet unlived. It is as full of beauty and possibilities as any other day that God has given us. It is up to me to look carefully today for things around me to be grateful for. I know they are there! I will look for them today with a grateful heart and my day will be brighter.

Say this prayer, today: “I am alive, alert, awake, and enthusiastic!”

Just saying today’s prayer gives you a new energy, and you can use these words any time you need that extra boost.

You are alive! You are alive with the life of God, and you feel this life pulsating throughout your entire body. You feel strong and capable.

You are alert! Your mind is fresh, and you think clearly about what to do next. You are filled with new ideas because your mind is open to God.

You are awake! Physically and mentally, you feel rested and renewed. You are awake and ready for the golden opportunities that await you this day.

You are enthusiastic about life! God is always with you, preparing you for new and exciting adventures in living. You look forward to all the possibilities this day holds for you.

The Spirit of God gives you complete rest, and you are refreshed. You know that there is more to rest than just letting your body be inactive. You need to refresh your soul also, and prayer is the refresher of the soul.

May your heart and vision be open to seeing God’s beauty and possibilities, today, wherever you go. May you reap the rich rewards of a grateful heart.

Dear God, knowing You are here with me, I relax and let Your Spirit move through me to clear away any thought of concern or fear.

Minnie Pearl, “The first lady of comedy” in country circles, passed March 4, 1996 at the age of 83. Although she aspired to be a Shakespearean actress as a young woman, she said she soon found out that God wanted her to be a comedian.

Biography of Jesus, the Christ

He was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman.
He grew up in still another village where he worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty.
Then, for three years he was an itinerate preacher.
He never wrote a book.
He never held an office.
He never had a family or owned a house.
He did not go to college.
He never visited a big city.
He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where he was born.
He did none of the things one usually associates with greatness.
He had no credentials but himself.
He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against him.
His friends ran away.
He was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial.
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves.
While He was dying, His executioners gambled for His clothing, the only property He had on earth.
When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.
Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today He is the central figure of the human race and the leader of mankind’s progress.
All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned put together,
Have not affected the life of man on earth, as much as, that one solitary life.

YOU WORK WITH GOD – GOD WORKS WITH YOU

When you have many things to do and much is demanded of you, you remember that God works with you, and through you.

If any task or detail at hand seems distasteful or difficult, remind yourself that you work for God. No matter where you work, your real employer is God.

God sticks with you, God has your back, and gives you true and lasting job security. The faces of your job may change, but the security of your true employer does not.

Knowing whom you work for changes everything. You go about your daily tasks with a light heart, a pleasant disposition, and a willing hand.

Because you work with God, you work easily, without stress, strain, or struggle. Working with God helps you understand that no matter how complex or demanding your work may be – you do not work alone.

Divine Intelligence inspires you with creative ideas.

Divine Love flows through your heart uplifting you, and others working alongside you.

Divine Strength gives you power in every needed way. Divine Order fits every detail into a perfect pattern of efficiency and productivity.

As you work with God, your assignments are done with ease. Working with God gives you new inner joy and satisfaction.

God is your wellspring of love, support, and encouragement. Your work can be your blessed connection to God, a place to worship and serve. God is your source of unfailing, lasting career life.

Through God, your body is nurtured and healed, instead of fatigued and weary. Through God, your thoughts are strengthened, and your feelings are soothed.

As you attune yourself to the lasting quality of God life, the Divine will work through you and surround you with success. You find yourself immersed in the infinite flow of successful life, aware of life’s endless opportunities.

John 7:37 states, “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and proclaimed, ‘If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink.'”

As you accept the love of Christ for you and within you, you are able to accept compliments in the form of praise and promotion.

Working with God, you are free to give and receive the good that God has prepared for us all.

Working with God, you can live in the present moment, enjoying every second, instead of being fearful for tomorrow.

God nourishes you in your workplace, God gives you new talents and abilities as well as cultivating your ability to express goodness, in every area of your life.

You are nourished, instead of drained, as you work with God, and you become a whole person again.

UNFAILING COMPASS

“In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
Isaiah 40:3

We have crossed the threshold of the open doorway of opportunity. In our prayers, we have made our spiritual commitments to be better tomorrow than yesterday.

Some reading this Positive Daily Inspiration are coming out of a wilderness experience in their life; some may still be wandering in the wilderness not knowing a way out. We must prepare for the way of the Lord. When we go God’s Way, it will untangle the maze of life making a straight, easy traveling, highway to get us out of the desert.

Prayer is an unfailing compass pointing the way to the good God has for us. This good is health of mind and body, prosperity in all the circumstances of our lives, harmony with friends and family, and the inspiration we need in making a greater contribution to life.

Through prayer, we find the way of love and peace so that we are happy and truly fulfilled.

You may choose paths now and then that have difficult hills or valleys of darkness wherein you experienced less than the good that is God’s will for you. But prayer reveals the right way, the highway to your good. Through prayer, “Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low.”

Prayer is completely trustworthy as your compass. Prayer keeps you on God’s highway so that you quickly and easily arrive at your destination – the fulfillment of every good desire of your heart.

If your destination is on the other side of a roadblock, you know that there is a reason that this is not the route you are to travel to get there. Roadblocks are not part of God’s way. God’s way is the way of open doors and ease. There is always another way and God will show you the right way.

Faith is the way around all obstacles and challenges.

In the Bible, in Matthew 17:20, it states, “You will say to this mountain,’Move from here to there,’ and it will move.”

As you use your faith in God, you also use the creativity and resourcefulness God has already given you. God helps you find a way to get through any obstacle.

God moves through you as the wisdom and strength to do what you need to do. In touch with the almighty power of God, you become aware and you realize your unlimited potential. Your goals are attainable; new ideas flood your mind; and you are guided to the right solutions.

You welcome each new day with joy and expectation, for you are lifted in spirit by your belief in the power of God to see you through.

With faith, you believe that all things are possible!

PRACTICE JOY THIS YEAR

“That My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”
John 15:11

Affirming, in prayer, aloud: “I am filled with the overflowing, unquenchable joy of Christ,” will have a positive effect on how joyful this year is for you. You constantly tell yourself, today, that you are joyful. You know that if you constantly tell yourself that you are unhappy, unloved, or without reason for joy, these words certainly take their toll – so much so that you soon begin to believe them. So, it follows that if you tell yourself, constantly, that you are filled to overflowing with joy, these words will also have an effect upon you. They will cause you to think in terms of the joy of God that is unquenchable within you.

This is your opportunity to give release to the joy of the Christ that is unquenchable within you. Perhaps, in your outer world, you can find few reasons to be joyful, but you can know that the outer world, alone, does not provide your joy. You are filled with joy from the inside of you to your outer world; it is overflowing, unquenchable joy through being one with the Spirit of Christ.

I believe joy is a level above mere happiness.

Years ago, I had this little couplet on the front of my refrigerator, to remind me of the actions that I need to take daily:

“Joy is to do and say the kindest thing in the kindest way.”

If you desire more joy (and who does not!), one way to increase your joy is to think of the ways in which you can add to the joy of others. It may be something as simple as lending a helping hand to one who is fearful crossing the street alone. I was once in a mood that was not conducive to joy. This particular day, I was so into my own problems that I could barely see what was going on around me. Then I noticed an elderly woman that was having problems with her walker. I offered to help her across the street. Soon, after this seemingly small gesture, I started to feel better; I even surprised myself in how good I felt.

Speaking a cheery greeting to someone that you meet, or writing a letter to one who does not get much mail, speaking a word of encouragement to someone needs it – all these things bring YOU joy.

When you start to look for things to do for others, ideas come fast and swift. As you determine the kindest thing in the kindest way, this, too, will become easy. In following such a course, we will find that our joy and awareness of spirituality is dramatically increased.

All day long, you will react to persons and circumstances in positive, harmonious, and joyous ways.

You cannot control how other people think and feel, BUT you can control your reactions. You cannot always control outer conditions, BUT you can always control your inward response to outer conditions. When you refuse to become disturbed, your calmness quiets the choppy sea of emotional turmoil. You will find that you are empowered by God to react in a different way – a kind and considerate way. As you grow in your spirituality, you will prove to be true what I always say, “Spirituality is the depth of your bliss in the middle of your problem.”

Joy stands on a foundation of spiritual calmness. With God, your actions will be wise and will contribute to the joy and peace of all. Today, you will act out of the center of calmness, and your action will be directed by the love of God.

I invite you to say aloud, in prayer, the couplet that is shared in this Positive Daily Inspiration.

“Joy is to do and say the kindest thing in the kindest way.”

Say it many times, at the beginning of the day. You are preparing yourself, ahead of time. Then should something upsetting happen, you are ready with a calm response. You react to all persons as a light of God spreading its joy. Your reaction will be remembered in them, long after the original problem is forgotten. Joy is built in you, one decision at a time.

Today, you build in the first layer of what will become lifelong joy.
