“God is love.”
1 John 4:8

INDRA’S NET

Written circa 5000 BC

There is an endless net of the threads
Throughout the Universe.
The horizontal threads are in Space.
The vertical threads in Time.
At every crossing of threads there is an individual,

And every individual a crystal bead.
The Great Light of Absolute Being illuminates
And penetrates every crystal bead,

And every crystal bead reflects not only
The light from every other crystal in the net,
But also, every reflection of every reflection
Throughout the Universe.

God helps me because God is God.
Because God is life.
Because God is love.

Thank You God!

Positive Daily Inspiration – June 17, 2022 – PRONOUNCE IT GOOD

Positive Daily Inspiration - June 17, 2022 - PRONOUNCE IT GOOD

“And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”
Genesis 1:31

I’m going to share a technique with you that changed my life several decades ago. I was taught by a wise spiritual teacher to pronounce everything in my life “as good.”

I argued with this teacher, protesting that everything in my life wasn’t good. That teacher said, “Try it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”

When I first started to do this, I was criticized by others for my “Pollyanna” attitude. I was criticized for not looking at things realistically. I came to realize, that always looking at things negatively was NOT a realistic attitude. Over time, the same people that used to criticize me saw such a change in me that they wanted what I had obtained.

In my 40 years of ministry, I have been amazed at how blind people are to the good in their lives. The good always overwhelms the bad. If you cannot believe that, then you need this exercise.

I have seen this exercise eliminate depression in people that did not have chemical imbalance, but that had been focusing exclusively on the bad things in their lives.

Pronounce every personal experience as good, and of God, and by that mental attitude you will call forth only good in your life. What seemed bad will disappear, and only the good will remain.

By the act of pronouncing every experience good, you can transform your life and your thinking. Such a pronouncement is an expression of faith in God and absolute goodness, and as you put your faith in this goodness you will see it coming into manifestation in every aspect of your life.

You will see good in yourself and in all others, the good that was there all along. Where before, you were focusing on the bad, now you have eyes to see the good that was invisible to you. You see beyond appearances as Jesus told you to. You see beyond appearances to the power of God at work. You become more aware of, and in tune with, the harmony of the universe.

Your mental attitude of pronouncing every personal experience as good has a healing effect on both your mind and your body. Your health improves, and you feel harmonious and at peace within yourself. Your human relations will be good because you are pronouncing all relationships as good. Others will feel the effect of your faith in the good of everyone and everything.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Today, I am walking in the light of God’s goodness. In my mind’s eye, I see myself as walking along the path of continuous good. I see my life as taking a straight and true course, one blessed by the continuous good of God. I see myself, and all who share my life, as walking together in harmony. I am working in the light of the goodness of God. I see myself as accomplishing with speed and spring of spirit doing the good work that is mine to do this day. Whatever the task, I see it as an opportunity. I see the light of God’s good shining in and through me, and within all that I work with, making the time that we spend together a time of wondrous good. I see good in all my co-workers and in my company. I am filled with new understanding and satisfaction.

Today I choose to live in the light of God’s good. What a wonderfully glorious revelation it is to know that the good of God is an eternal part of me. I am never in darkness; always I am one with good. I am one with good that never diminishes. I decree in the name of Jesus Christ my pronouncement of my life as good. I am walking, working, living in the continuous good of God.

Thank You, God!

Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: Through God’s help I am able to focus on and see the good in my life.

Positive Daily Inspiration – June 16, 2022 – GOD’S MIGHTY HEALING POWER

Positive Daily Inspiration - June 16, 2022 - GOD'S MIGHTY HEALING POWER

“The prayer of faith will save the sick … .and the Lord will raise him up.”
James 5:15

We are told that with a word and with a touch, Jesus healed those who looked to Him. Let us know that the Christ Spirit that healed through Jesus is with us now.

Since we are created in the likeness of God, and God is life, we know that we are meant to be thoroughly alive. Let us remember that the Christ Spirit is in and through our minds and bodies. Let us know that we can be whole and free again. Let us feel the healing touch of the Christ Spirit in our minds and bodies. Let us reach out in our thoughts and with our faith and see all who need healing as whole and free.

Sometimes a person is very concerned about the state of the dear one’s health. They may say, “If only I could be with them! If only I could do something to help!”

There is always something we can do to help another, even though miles may separate us. We can pray. There is no time or space in prayer. Prayer is the language of Spirit and it is unlimited and not confined by distance. We can surround our dear ones with our prayers and our faith. We can lift up our thoughts concerning them and hold to a positive realization of life and health.

They will have a new consciousness of health.

I believe that the brain is a receiver of consciousness, not the creator. But the brain can hold on, in memory, of ill health.

God’s purity can flood the vast wastelands of our minds with new creation.

Whenever we think of the dear one who needs health, let us breathe the prayer of thanks for the knowledge that God’s life is with them and within them. God’s healing power is with them and within them. Let us have faith in God to heal any and every, condition. Let us know that God is present with them now.

We can know, too, that when we pray for another, we do not pray alone. Always Positive Christianity is always affirming life and strength for all who need this kind of prayer.

Limitations are lifted. Life abounds. The Christ Spirit with us blesses us with health.

“Your healing shall spring up speedily.” Isaiah 58:8

I pray today that you have an open door to invigorating life. I pray that you experience wholeness and a zest for living. Your body is unique and wonderfully created by God. You have many of the characteristics and traits of the human family; however, there is much more to you. This “more” is your Divine inheritance from God.

The essence of who you are is at the core of your being. In any health challenge, you can call upon the healing power of God and it will move within you. God’s Divine intelligence will guide you to act in ways that promote health. You are led to and through a process of healing that is effective and right for you. You are open and receptive to all sources of your good, for all good comes from God.

You visualize your body in prayer as the perfect expression of health that God created it to be, knowing and praying that there is no challenge too great for God to heal, and to heal quickly.

God has established perfect health in you. You are renewed, energized, and made whole.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Thank You, God, for establishing perfect health in me. The very cells of my body are alive with Your pure, perfect life. Every organ, every function, and every part of my body temple glows with life and pulses with new energy. The perfect pattern of life implanted within my being emerges in and through me now.

Symptoms, appearances, and conditions are as nothing in the presence of Your all-powerful life. Strength and energy fills me, through and through, mobilizing every part of me right now. I am vitally and vibrantly alive. Thank You, God, for establishing perfect health in me.

I express Your radiant life. I am filled with a sense of ease and well-being in my mind and in my body. I am renewed even as I pray. I am energized throughout this day and I am made well in the completeness of Your healing life within me.

Thank You God! In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: The idea of new health floods my mind from God Mind.

Positive Daily Inspiration – June 15, 2022 – ACCEPTING OTHERS FOR WHO THEY ARE

Positive Daily Inspiration - June 15, 2022 - ACCEPTING OTHERS FOR WHO THEY ARE

“Be kind … forgiving one another.”
Ephesians 4:32

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam.

He called his parents from San Francisco. “Mom and Dad, I’m coming home, but I have a favor to ask. I have a friend I’d like to bring with me.”

“Sure,” they replied, “we’d love to meet him.”

“There’s something you should know,” the son continued, “he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mine and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want to him to come and live with us.”

“I’m sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help find him somewhere to live.”

“No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us.”

“Son,” said the father, “you don’t know what you’re asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can’t let something like this interfere with our own lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He will find a way to live on his own.”

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him.

A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide.

The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn’t know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don’t like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren’t as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully, God doesn’t treat us that way. God loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the family, regardless of where we come from or how messed up we are.

Today, say a prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people who are different from you, to love them just the way they are, and to help you to be more understanding of those that you do not understand.

Jesus was constantly criticized by those around him for reaching out to people who were socially unacceptable. He reached out to people of other cultures and belief systems. He spent time and ate with people that were defiled and hated. He chose to walk the high path of not judging them by what they did in the past. He chose not to withhold his love and therefore taught by example to us all.

Read Jesus’ story, “The Parable of the Good Samaritan” Luke 10:25-37

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, I ask that You help me to be an accepting person.
Help me to see the good in others.
Help me to believe the best.
Help me to tear down the barriers that I have built around myself.
Help me to reach out and touch others with my loving presence.

In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: Today, with God’s help, I accept others just the way they are.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.”

Positive Daily Inspiration – June 14, 2022 – Tuesday Prayer and Meditation

Positive Daily Inspiration - June 14, 2022 - Tuesday Prayer and Meditation

“Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”
Hebrews 13:1,2

This is a ministry of prayer. We have come to feel the power of prayer.

This is the four-step prayer technique.

First we pray for illumination.

There is but one presence and one power in your life–God the good, omnipotent. You are now in the presence of pure being. You are immersed in the Holy Spirit of light, love, and wisdom. You acknowledge God’s presence and power. All you do this day, you do in God’s presence, by God’s power and to God’s glory. There is but one presence here, one power here, in your life. Rest in the silence of prayer and accept this as true for you …

Rest of the silence of prayer …

The second prayer technique – adoration.

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all God’s benefits: Who forgiveth all thine inequities; who healeth all thine diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction, who crowneth thee with loving- kindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s [Psalms 103:1-5, KJV].

Today, in this moment, we have the illumination of Jesus Christ. Receiving that awareness, we have a great adoration–a wonderful adoration–build inside of us.

It builds now, in the silence of prayer …

(Silence)

The third prayer technique – forgiveness.

In the name and through the power of Jesus Christ, I accept Your forgiveness, God, as I remember the words that were spoken through Isaiah: For thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant … thou shalt not be forgotten of me. I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee [Isaiah 44:21-22, KJV].

To anyone whom I need to forgive, I say there is nothing between us but the love of God. Freely and fully, I release all thoughts of hurt, anger, and resentment. We are at peace; you and I, one with the love of God. In this moment, consent to forgiveness, the love of God flowing through you, not being stopped in any way by your opinions or judgment of another …

Rest of the silence of prayer …

The fourth prayer technique – acceptance of blessings and God’s will.

Dear God, this morning I gratefully accept the manifold blessings in my life. I accept health; I accept a wonderful, harmonious home life, a wonderful family, wonderful friends, good work and the ability and opportunity to do that. I accept abundant supply and the time to share and enjoy all the good You give. I know Your will is that I express Your love. Wherever I am, whatever I do, toward whomever I meet, joyfully I accept Your will as mine.

Rest now in the silence of acceptance in prayer …

We pray this morning in God’s illumination, in total adoration, with complete forgiveness, and with total acceptance.

In Jesus Christ’s name we pray … Amen.

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: With God’s help, all my plans are worked out in Divine order.

Then I said to you, “Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the desert. There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” Deuteronomy 1:29-31

When God’s love comes through a man it is a beautiful spiritual thing to witness.

As Gandhi stepped aboard a train one day, one of his shoes slipped off and landed on the track. He was unable to retrieve it as the train was moving. To the amazement of his companions, Gandhi calmly took off his other shoe and threw it back along the track to land close to the first. Asked by a fellow passenger why he did so, Gandhi smiled. “The poor man who finds the shoe lying on the track,” he replied, “will now have a pair he can use.”

Do you remember when you were little and you would go into the living room or wherever dad took off his shoes, and put your small feet in his big shoes and tried to walk around in his shoes? You looked down and saw those huge shoes and thought, “These are the biggest shoes in the world. How would I ever fill these shoes?” Over time, you grew into those shoes. In fact, you might even have grown past these shoes.

Being a father is one of the greatest things in the world.

William Wordsworth once said this: “The best portion of a good man’s life – his little, nameless, unremembered act of kindness and of love.”

I would like to share a story with you that Dan Clark shares about his father. I’m sure his father thought, at the time, that his son would never remember this, but years later, long after his father passed away, Dan Clark wrote this story about something that he felt personified his dad.

“Once when I was a teenager, my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally, there was only one family between us and the ticket counter. This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children, all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didn’t have a lot of money. Their clothes were not expensive, but they were clean. The children were well-behaved, all of them standing in line, two-by-two behind their parents, holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns, elephants, and other acts they would see that night. One could sense they had never been to the circus before. It promised to be a highlight of their young lives. The father and mother were at the head of the pack standing proud as could be. The mother was holding her husband’s hand, looking up at him as if to say, ‘You’re my knight in shining armor.’ He was smiling and basking in pride.

“The ticket collector asked the father how many tickets he wanted. He proudly responded, ‘Please let me buy eight children’s tickets and two adult tickets so I can take my family to the circus.’ The ticket lady quoted the price. The man’s wife let go of his hand; her head dropped; the man’s lip began to quiver. The father leaned a little closer and asked, ‘How much did you say?’ The ticket lady again quoted the price.

“How was he supposed to turn and tell his eight kids that he didn’t have enough money to take them to the circus? Seeing what was going on, my dad put his hand into his pocket, pulled out a $20 bill and dropped it on the ground. (We were not wealthy in any sense of the word!) My father reached down, picked up the bill, tapped the man on the shoulder and said, ‘Excuse me, sir, this fell out of your pocket.’

“The man knew what was going on. He wasn’t begging for a handout but certainly appreciated the help in a desperate, heartbreaking, embarrassing situation. He looked straight into my dad’s eyes, took my dad’s hand in both of his, squeezed tightly onto the $20 bill, and with his lip quivering and a tear streaming down his cheek, he replied, ‘Thank you, thank you, sir. This really means a lot to me and my family.’

“My father and I went back to our car and drove home. We didn’t go to the circus that night, but we didn’t go without.”

His father could have gone to the circus that night. It would have been an ordinary night. But he showed his son an extraordinary example of masculine love. It’s the little things that children remember.

Fathers have a great responsibility to show their unique love to children. They do this in many ways. Children need to be supported in many ways not only financially, but also by giving love, hugs, and kisses. A great father also invests time by hugging, kissing and spending whatever time it takes with their children. There is no job more important than our kids.

We all have so much to give. And we don’t want to contain it in an enclosed circle. We are here to serve. There are a lot of little boys and girls in the world who need love. They need the special, unique masculine love that only men can give.

To do this, first you have to be willing. This isn’t limited with age. You can be grandpa or you can be dad. It doesn’t matter at all what your age is because the ageless love of the Christ comes through.

I want to share a story with you about a little boy named Chase. This story was shared by Mark Victor Hanson and Jack Canfield. They tell a story about how a father figure can make a major difference in a life.

There are so many families who are separated. Many of these families do not have father figures. There are children everywhere that need positive masculine influence; there is a need for armies of fathers who are willing to take the place of someone who is not there. This is one such story.

“There was a definite quiver in Chase’s lower lip as he followed his mother down the long, descending sidewalk to the parking lot at the orthodontist’s office. This was going to be the worst summer of any that the 11-year-old boy had known. The doctor had been kind and gentle with him, but the time had come for him to face the reality that he would be fitted with braces to correct a misalignment of his teeth. The correction would hurt, he couldn’t eat hard or chewy foods, and he thought he would be made fun of by his friends.

“No words passed between the mother and son as they drove back to the small country home. It was only a few acres, but it was a sanctuary for one dog, two cats, a rabbit and a multitude of squirrels and birds.

“The decision to have Chase’s teeth corrected had been a difficult one for his mother, Cindy. Having been divorced for five years, she was the sole provider for her young son. Little by little, she had saved up the $1,500 required to have the teeth corrected.

“Then one sunny afternoon, the person she cared for the most, Chase, fell in love. Chase and his mother had gone to visit the Rakers, who were old family friends, at their farm about 50 miles away. Mr. Raker took them out to the barn and there she was. She held her head high as the trio approached. Her light mane and tail rippled on a gentle breeze. Her name was Lady, and she was everything a beautiful mare should be. She was saddled, and Chase had his first taste of horsemanship. There was an instant attraction, which seemed to be mutual.

“‘She is for sale, if you want to buy her,’ Mr. Raker had told Cindy. “For $1,500 you get the mare, all the papers on her and the horse trailer to haul her.” For Cindy, it was a big decision. The $1,500 she had saved would fix Chase’s teeth or buy Lady for Chase, but it wouldn’t do both. Finally, she determined that getting the braces was the best long-term decision for Chase. It was a tearful decision for both mother and son. But Cindy promised to take Chase to the Raker farm to see Lady and ride her as often as they could.

“Chase reluctantly began his long course of treatment. With little courage and a low tolerance for pain, Chase submitted himself for the impressions, fittings and never-ending tightening of the expanders. He gagged, cried, and pleaded, but the orthodontic correction went ahead. The only shining moments of Chase’s life that summer came when his mother took him to ride Lady. There, he was free. Horse and rider would go galloping into the big pasture and into a world that knew no pain or suffering. There was only the steady rhythm of the horse’s hooves on the sod and the wind in his face. Riding Lady, Chase could be John Wayne, ‘Tall in the saddle,’ or one of the knights of old, off to rescue the fair maiden in distress, or anything his imagination let him be. At the end of his long rides, Chase and Mr. Raker would rub down Lady, clean her stall and feed her, and Chase would always give his new friend lumps of sugar. Cindy and Mrs. Raker spent their afternoons together making cookies and lemonade and watching Chase ride his new best friend.

“The good-byes between Chase and the mare lasted as long as Cindy would permit. Chase would hold the horse’s head in his hand, and then rub her strong shoulders and comb his fingers through her mane. The gentle animal seemed to understand the affection given to her and would stand patiently, now and then nipping at his shirt sleeve. Each time they left the Raker farm, Chase feared that this might be his last look at the mare. Lady was, after all, for sale, and the market was good for that quality of riding stock.

“The summer wore on with repeated tightening of the expander in Chase’s mouth. All of the discomfort would be worth it because this would make room for his yet undescended teeth to come in, he was told. Still, there was the agony of food particles trapped by the appliance, and that ever-constant pain of his facial bones stretching. All of the $1,500 would soon be used up on his dental work, and nothing would remain with which to purchase the mare he loved so much. Chase asked his mom countless questions, hoping for an answer that would eventually satisfy him. Could they borrow the money to buy the mare? Would grandpa help them buy her? Could he get a job and save his money to buy the horse? His mother fielded the questions as best she could. When all else failed, she would quietly slip away to shed her own tears, that she could not provide for all the wants of her only child.

“A crisp September morning brought the opening of school, which also brought the big yellow school bus to the end of the lane at Chase’s home. The schoolchildren took turns recounting the things they did during summer vacation. When his turn came, Chase talked about other subjects, but he never mentioned the golden-colored mare named Lady. The last chapter in that story had not yet been written, and he was afraid of how it would end. The battle with the stretching appliance in his mouth had been won, and the less obtrusive retainer had taken its place.

“With eager anticipation, Chase looked forward to the third Saturday, when his mother had promised to take him to the Rakers’ to ride Lady. Chase was up early on the appointed day. He fed his rabbits, dogs and cats, and even found time to rake leaves in the back yard. Before Chase and his mother left the house, he filled his jacket pocket with sugar cubes for the golden-maned mare that he knew would be waiting for him. To Chase, it seemed an eternity before his mother turned the car off the main road and down the lane to the Raker farm. Anxiously, Chase strained his eyes for a glimpse of the mare that he loved so much. As they drew closer to the farmhouse and barns, he looked, but Lady was nowhere to be seen. Chase’s pulse pounded as he looked expectantly for the horse trailer. It was not there. Both the trailer and horse were gone. His worst nightmare had become a reality. Someone had surely bought the horse, and he would never see her again.

“Chase began to feel an emptiness in the pit of his stomach that he had never known before. They got out of the car and ran up to the front door of the house. No one answered the doorbell. Only the big collie, Daisy, was there with tail wagging to greet them. While his mother sadly looked on, Chase ran to the barn where the mare had been kept. Her stall was empty, and the saddle and blanket were also gone. With tears streaming down his cheeks, Chase returned to the car and got in. ‘I didn’t even get to say good-bye, Mom,’ he whimpered.

“On the drive back home, both Cindy and Chase sat quietly with their own thoughts. The wound of losing his friend would be slow to heal, and Chase only hoped that the mare would find a good home with someone to love and take care of her. She would be in his prayers, and he would never forget their carefree times together. Chase’s head was bowed and his eyes closed as Cindy pulled into the driveway of the home. He did not see the red, shiny horse trailer by their barn, or Mr. Raker standing beside his blue pick-up truck. When Chase finally looked up, their car had stopped and Mr. Raker was opening Chase’s door. ‘How much money have you saved up, Chase?’ he asked.

“This could not be real. Chase rubbed his eyes in disbelief. ‘Seventeen dollars,’ he answered in a halting voice.

“‘That’s just what I wanted for this mare and trailer,’ said a smiling Mr. Raker. The transaction that followed would have rivaled any on record for speed and brevity. In only moments, the new, proud owner was climbing in the saddle, astride his beloved mare. Horse and rider were soon out of sight around the barn, headed for the open pasture beyond.

“Mr. Raker never explained his actions, other than to say, ‘This is the best I have felt in years.'”

Let us pray:

Dear God, there are many fathers here. Empower us* (*or them) with the actions of the perfection of Christ. Empower us with patience and love. Help us to give love to our own children – to go way beyond human love, and to consent to Your love coming through us so our actions will help now and will be remembered tomorrow. Help us to do many small acts of kindness so we can prepare for the big acts of kindness when the opportunity arises. We pray that we can be a blessing to every child who crosses our path, and we can be an example of fatherhood.

In Jesus Christ’s name, we now accept this blessing of the Christ in and through our minds, our bodies, and our souls … Amen.

PRAYER / MEDITATION__________________________________________

Let us Pray:

The word of God is a word that speaks positively to you. It is a word that allows you to be regenerated, made new, in mind and in body.

Galatians 3:27 says, “I put on the Christ.” With me, now, put on these thoughts of Christ mind: I accept the fact that I am a child of God. I am the living offspring of the living love of God. I am love. I am wisdom.

Your human mind is connected, fused, with Divine mind. You think with crystal clarity. You think with the foundation of Divine ideas.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I am in Divine order in mind, body, and all the situations in my life. I decree, in Jesus Christ’s name, that there is Divine order in my life. There is an order of thoughts in my mind. There is a Divine order of functioning in my body. There is a natural order, a progression of good, in my life, under the direction of God.

Knowing my connection to God, I decree: I am one with the life of God. There is new life in my body temple; new dreams and motivations; new things to get up for in the morning and to keep on going. Blessed by God, I am in full life, and full life is in me.

I decree that I am one with the health of God. There is perfect health in every organ of my body temple; God health, regenerated, new, ever-cleansing, ever-fresh lives within me.

I am one with the grace of God. The grace of God seems to meet me wherever I go. The love of God is infilling my life and affairs. I am in grace. I attract grace to every circumstance in my life. The grace of God is with me.

I am one with the harmony of God. I have peace of mind and well-being.

Accept these thoughts now.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I am one with the peace of God. I am one with faith of God. I am one with the spiritual consciousness of God’s inexhaustible riches. I am one with the light of God. I am one with the love of God. The love of God is not something for which I have to struggle. It comes to me and through me automatically. I am empowered because I am empowered by the purified love of God.

I decree that any person who comes in contact with me comes in contact with God’s love. All nervousness, anger, or hostility are cast out. They are not needed. The love of God has no room for these, and I have no room for these in my spiritual consciousness. I consent NOW to the pure love of God.

In my body, I am strength. I feel the renewed power of God as I decree: I am strength. I am freedom. I am power. I accept God’s blessings. I put on the Christ in every thought and cell of my being. I am success. The Christ is not a failure. The Christ always succeeds in all situations, and I succeed in full partnership with God.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I am purity. I am pure from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet, and I am pure in mind. The Christ cleanses me through and through. Wholeness is my nature.

I am the word. I speak to myself and it shall be done unto me. I make these spiritual statements faithfully, and I meditate on each word until the inner meaning unfolds in my consciousness. I am unified with the word of God, and I know that I become part of the very substance of that word.

I am joy. This room is filled with the joy of God from the innermost being of each of us. We broadcast this out to touch those around us. This room becomes the living joy of the living God.

I am satisfaction. There is nothing in me that is not satisfied. In this moment of time, connected with God, connected with all I have ever wanted or all I will ever want, I feel satisfaction.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Dear God, I have come to this moment in my life prepared to live fully. I am prepared to stop wanting and coming to the point of being. I allow this to happen through me. I consent to these things to be the best I can be by allowing You to be in and through me.

Thank You, God. And I thank myself for allowing the ego to step aside and allowing the fullness of life to come through.

In Jesus Christ’s name we pray … Amen.

Additional Bible Quotes:
A father of the fatherless … . (Psalm 68:5)
The father of a righteous child has great joy; he who has a wise child delights in them.(Proverbs 23:24)
Train a child in the way he should go, and when they are old they will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

GOOD FATHER”S DAY MUSIC CHOICES:

I start with my personal favorite, it is very powerful in a church setting, have your soloist, or men’s group to learn and sing – “Color Him Father” (1969) The Winstons. The D.C.-based group sold over a million copies of this song and it was certified gold. The son recounts the consistent way the father provides for the family and shows love and respect to his mother. As the song continues, it’s revealed that the man is actually his stepfather who selflessly married a widow with seven children. As a result the stepson colors him “love.”

“I’m A Daddy” (2004) Derrick Hall & Co. The singer extols the joys of family life. Fatherhood is celebrated. Hall sings about his wedding ring and says he’s “legit”.

“There is a King in You” (2009) Donald Lawrence and Company. The song is very fitting and serves to remind fathers who they are. It also demonstrates that fathers should sow positive words into their sons and daughters. Words that call out greatness and build self-esteem.

“Never Would Have Made It” (2008) Marvin Sapp. This song was written by Sapp when he lost his father. Although his earthly father was gone, Sapp was able to identify that God carried him through his pain and he never would have made it without the Master’s touch and he is stronger in spite of his sorrow.

Still My Father (2008) Bryan Wilson. The song describes the hurt and pain endured by the absence of a father. As the son matures and becomes a dad, he understands God was always there for him. He is able to release the hurt he felt. Coming full circle with God’s love, he is able to say, “Even though he wasn’t there, I still care.”

Great is thy Faithfulness (2004) Sandi Patty. This 1923 song has been recorded by several artists and is sung in churches across the nation. It is a song of adoration to the Heavenly Father. Very appropriate for those without an earthly father or with a strained relationship. The song says, “Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not.”

Patches (1970) Clarence Carter. While the story is set in rural Alabama, it could be any city or town where a family struggles to survive on a meager income. After his father dies, a young boy is left with the huge responsibility of being “man of the house.” Although it’s difficult, he recalls his father’s words, “Patches, I’m depending on you son, to pull the family through.”

Daddy, Don’t Cry (1989) Elvis Presley. The song recounts the struggles of a single father. The circumstances are unclear. Perhaps she died or she abandoned them. His sadness and uncertainty is conveyed in the lyrics. However, his spirits are lifted by his children who encourage him to carry on.

Dance with my Father (2003) Luther Vandross. Many girls view their father as their ultimate hero. This song is played at many weddings during the Father and Bride dance. Vandross sums up the feeling of nostalgia in this beautiful song as the child longs for the chance to be lifted up in the arms of a loving father once again.

Father and Friend (2007) Alain Clark. The video for this song by Clark, a Dutch musician and producer, is uplifting and celebratory. The son celebrates his father for being a role model and teacher. The father replies that his son has made him a better man. The song reaches its peak as father and son engage in a songfest of mutual love, respect admiration.

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25

A man walks out into the street and manages to get a taxi just going by. He gets into the taxi, and a cabbie says, “Perfect timing. You’re just like Dave.”

“Who?”

“Dave Bronson. There’s a guy who did everything right. Like my coming along when you needed a cab. It would have happened like that to Dave.”

“There are always a few clouds over everybody.”

“Not Dave. He is a terrific athlete. He could have gone on the pro tour in tennis. He could golf with the pros. He sang like an opera baritone and danced like a Broadway star.”

“He was something, huh?”

“He had a memory like a trap. Could remember everybody’s birthday. He knew all about wine, which fork to eat with. He could fix anything. Not like me. I change a fuse, I blackout the whole neighborhood.”

“No wonder you remember him.”

“Well, I never actually met Dave.”

“Then how do you know so much about him?”

“I married his widow!”

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six-year-olds. After explaining the Commandment to “Honor thy father and thy mother,” she asked, “Is there a Commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?”

Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of the family) answered, “Thou shall not kill.”

______

A preacher was completing his sermon. With great expression he said, “If I had all the beer in the world, I’d take it and throw it into the river.” Then he finally said, “And if I had all the whiskey in the world, I’d take it and throw it into the river.” Finishing his sermon he then sat down.

The song leader then stood very cautiously and announced with a smile, “For our closing song, let us sing hymn 265, “Shall We Gather at the River.”

An honest seven-year-old admitted calmly to her parents that Billy Brown had kissed her after class. “How did that happened?” gasped her mother.

“It wasn’t easy,” admitted the young lady, “but three girls helped me catch him.”

_______

A kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they drew. She would occasionally walk around to see each child’s artwork. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was. The little girl replied, “I’m drawing God.”

The teacher paused and said, “But no one knows what God looks like.”

Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing the little girl replied, “They will in a minute.”

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, I know miracles happen – because someone prayed!
Jesus said, “Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
I know that every person connected to Positive Christianity creates a meeting together in prayer.
In that meeting together in prayer, though we be miles or even oceans apart, we are one – one in the very presence of You, dear God. Time has nothing to do with it, space has nothing to do with it – we are one. And in this oneness of prayer the Christ presence is felt, the power of God is experienced.
“There am I in the midst of them.”
Our prayers become a part of this great central prayer power that has become known around the world.
We turn to You, dear God, the source. We turn to the power of God that is always present with us.
And even to turn in thought to Positive Christianity is to make connection with the prayer power that is continually going forth, reinforcing by the faith of those that are praying, and the faith of the multitude of persons who are praying with us. Through prayer, we know the power of God. We pray that we are a bridge by which you cross over from fear to faith.
We pray that when you pray with us, you link yourself with us; together we stand in faith, together we know the omnipresence of God, together we know the nothingness of negation.
With God all things are possible!

THANK YOU, GOD!

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

Years ago, a young couple moves into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

“That laundry is not very clean”, she said.

“She doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.”

Her husband looked on but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:

“Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this.”

The husband said, “I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.”

And so, it is with life. What we see when watching others depends a lot on the clarity of the window through which we look.

________

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger … he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries, and comedies.

If I wanted to know anything about politics, history, or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn’t seem to mind.

Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home … not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.

My Dad didn’t permit the liberal use of alcohol. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.

I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked … and NEVER asked to leave.

More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents’ den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name? …

We just call him, “TV.”

PS: He has a younger sister now. We call her “Computer.”

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Luke 11:34 – “Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is sound, your whole body is full of light.”

Dear God, I know with my physical eyes I see only what is apparent in the world around me.
However, when I open my spiritual eyes, I don’t limit my vision.
Through faith, I know that the world is filled with the truth of Your presence, my dear God.
Today, I pray that I him reminded to take a closer look any time I am tempted to call situation hopeless.
I am aware that Your Spirit is within every person in every situation.
I let my own indwelling spirit of God light the way to peace and harmony.
I am richly blessed.

In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: I look beyond the appearances to find the truth of God’s good.

Positive Daily Inspiration – June 10, 2022 – IF GOD IS YOUR CO-PILOT – SWAP SEATS

Positive Daily Inspiration - June 10, 2022 - IF GOD IS YOUR CO-PILOT - SWAP SEATS

“Cast all your anxieties on God, for God cares about you.”
1 Peter 5:7

What a great feeling of relief is yours as you place ALL things in God’s care and keeping. Whatever is needed, whatever the needs of a loved one, God is always the answer. All through this day you let God direct your life.

Instead of wondering what you can do, you place all concerns totally in God’s care. You have faith to know that God is the answer. God gives you the wisdom, the illumination, and direction. You have no reason to worry, no reason to doubt, no reason to be fearful.

When you are tempted to be troubled or concerned about a dear one, instead of continuing in this kind of thought, you place your loved one in God’s care in keeping. You know that God’s spirit is in them, and that God is with them right now, the perfect answer to their every need. You are filled with assurance and blessed with peace of mind concerning them.

There are many times that we try to push our way through life, and we ask God to help us push. Often, we need to let go, and let God drive the steering wheel of our life.

A lot of people have an awareness of God being with them in their daily life. Today, you can go beyond this experience of just having God with you, to allowing God to lead you. Today can be a day to make God the first partner in your life, a partner who leads you at home, in your business and your personal life. God always knows the best way to go. God is a partner who leads you in what you are to say and do in the moment. God is not on the back burner, God is no longer way down on the so-called pecking order of life. God is first and foremost – the lead – A FIRST partner who always knows how to find fulfillment and happiness in every day.

From our own human mind, we cannot always judge the best way to go, or the best thing to do, but God always knows. When we let God take over our lives, our lives become easier. Our lives become more controlled with God as Divine order always prevails.

Let God be in the driver’s seat today. Today, consent to the power of God working in and through you. Consent to God’s power and will of good in your life to manifest out into every single moment of the next 24 hours. A 24-hour period that is God directed becomes heaven on earth.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, today I let You takeover my life and all the situations of my life.
I let You control my thinking.
I let You control my feelings and emotions.
I let You take control in my body as well as my mind adjusting all things into Divine order.
I ask You to lead me in the activities of my day.
I pray that You are my Divine scheduler.
I pray that with You working through me, today will be a day where I can make a positive difference of good to the people in my life.

In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: Today, I let God take over.

Positive Daily Inspiration – June 9, 2022 – L. Q.

Positive Daily Inspiration - June 9, 2022 - L. Q.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lays down his life (his personal agendas) for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide; so that whatever you asked the Father in my name, he may give it to you. This I command you, to love one another.”
John 15:12-17

Often, I pray with ministries of practically every denomination. Usually, I am praying with them because there is infighting and discord within the walls of the church. The church members have something other than love between them. Perhaps it’s a board of directors against the minister, or committee against a committee or a faction against another faction.

The ultimate judge of any church, ministry or nonprofit organization is – HOW LOVING IS IT!

HOW ACCEPTING ARE THEY OF OTHERS NOT EXACTLY LIKE THEM?

God is love and to be totally following God and Jesus you have to be loving instead of taking on the traits of a human that is absent of spirituality. In the church, you have to be loving! The four walls are set up to be an example of the love of God, and magnify the teachings of love as taught by Jesus Christ.

We come to church to rise in our spirituality not to promote our own agenda as a human being. The most important commandment of Jesus is to love one another. I often speak strong words to churches going through hard times. I say “If you are NOT promoting love among every single person, you are not a church based on God.”

It is not up to the minister, priest, or rabbi alone to be loving, rather each member of the congregation has an individual responsibility in following God and developing her or his own individual spirituality. Total commitment to love is the only way that a church can grow; otherwise, it is dead and waiting to be buried.

The ministry of God cares. The ministry of God seeks agreement. The ministry of God cares about its people MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.

The people of Christ must be accepting and loving of all others, and those not of their faith.

Religions that require that you believe everything exactly the way they do, or else they dislike you, or worse, are very misguided. What this leads to on a large scale, are groups like ISIS. We often separate ourselves from people of faith, who choose a different path to God. Holy wars are fought over this issue. Our great nation was founded on religious freedom; we must not be like those fear-based leaders that insist EVERYONE believe EXACTLY like them. We believe religions are like spokes on a wheel, ALL leading to the same hub (God.)

L.Q. is more important than I.Q.

The intelligence quotient has long been the standard for testing a human being. L.Q. is your “love quotient.” For spiritual human beings seeking to become better than their former selves, L.Q. is much more important than I.Q.

What is the love quotient of your church? Do the members truly love each other?

Every church that is in trouble that reads this Positive Daily Inspiration, no matter what the denominational name, has an opportunity to readjust things back to God’s way. Churches that have serious divisions and disagreements can start over again, re-organizing under the umbrella of God’s love. They must be willing to release the past. They agree among themselves that this is not working, and they desire above all else to follow God and God’s ways.

I witnessed one large family leave the ministry because they painted the sanctuary off-white instead of the eggshell white. They simply said to the minister that the color would not allow them to worship there – how sad! The excuses that human mind make to not follow the ways of God. This family should have been concerned with only one thing – how loving are they. Worship is an individual thing. A church is a place of worship, not a battle warship.

Worship is worth ship. We are each children of God with worth and value.

People leave churches because they don’t like the minister, priest or rabbi. The question should always be, if you do not like them, it is a soul test, to go beyond yourself and find something to love about that person. I have taught ministers in seminaries that they are becoming professional lovers of people, even people that do not love them.

To worship God, we MUST love one another within the house of God. The answer to every problem within the church is love. If we find ourselves in serious disagreement we need to become serious about love. The church is the one place in the world that we should promote this above all else.

Copy this Positive Daily Inspiration, and give a copy to every faction that disagrees, and agree to go higher than human agenda and political infighting.

Politics can kill religion and snuff out all spirituality. If you go to the convention of any major religion what they are arguing is church politics. Political quotient is not what we are about as Christians. We need to focus on one major topic – how loving are we? People have told me that they have gone to church meetings and come away completely drained over something as minor as the bylaws change. Every church meeting should feed the soul. Human agenda and political infighting fades quickly over time when bathed with the pure love of God. People looking back often laugh over what was so very important to them at the time. People that come to your ministry do not read your bylaws; they read your actions and reactions: they read your face and the tone in your voice.

Commit to the highest form of spirituality. Commit to going above and beyond yourself. Commit to stretch yourself beyond the limits of self-imposed boundaries. Commit to being loving 100 percent of the time within the walls of the church. Commit to being loving in all your words to a person, or behind their back. Commit to fully stop judging and only judge yourself in your ability to raise your L.Q.

You are becoming a new person, a new creation in Christ. You are becoming love made manifest. You reach out with both an outer smile, and an inner smile of love. You have a welcoming heart to people that you do not know. Jesus said that it is easy to love your friends, but to go beyond this and love your enemies. If you truly love a person, you do not have an enemy. I have seen warring factions in ministries become best friends through setting aside differences and coming together in love.

Any church is successful if they truly are exhibiting the love of God. The true love of God is what every single person in the world is seeking whether they know it or not. It is time to go back to our roots, there is an old song that says, “Give me that old-time religion.” Well, the true old-time religion, and lasting religion, is love. This is what Jesus Christ came to teach, and to put at the forefront above the hundreds of laws of the prophets. Love is the one thing above all others that is important.

If we did this one thing and forgot everything else, churches of all denominations would grow, and would come together in friendship and love with other denominations. There are no walls of divisions in the house of spirituality. Every church needs to begin a new building program of love. A church that fully manifests love has no problem manifesting the other good that they seek.

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

I allow God’s love, and only God’s love to be
the thought in my mind,
manifested in my expression,
heard in my tone,
felt in my presence.
I do no harm,
I build up,
not tear down.
I follow God by following the way of God’s loving expression.

In Jesus Christ’s name … Amen

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: Today, I am the love of God in expression.
