“And they brought the boy to Him … . And Jesus asked his father, ‘How long has he had this?’ And he said, ‘From childhood … but if you can do anything, have pity on us and help us.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘If you can! All things are possible to him who believes.’ Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, ‘I believe; help my unbelief!'”

All things are possible to the person that CAN believe.

Can you believe and accept healing, even though you have had a condition for a long time? Can you believe things can change even if they have been the way they are for years?

This account of healing emphasizes an important need on our part, when we are praying for the restoration of ourselves or of another. We may need to pray first of all, “Help my unbelief!”

When we truly believe in the power of God in the midst of us, and in the midst of the one for whom we pray, when we truly believe that all things are possible, that nothing is beyond God’s healing power — then our prayers are living prayers — they are powerful vital prayers — and they become affective prayers, leading to real miracles.

As we pray for healing, whether for our own healing, or for the healing of someone we care about, let us boldly affirm in prayer:

“I believe in the absolute power of God to make things right. I believe that, with, God all things are possible. I believe in healing. I rejoice in my vitality — it is the vibrant, God-given life force in me. I rejoice in the vitality that I see manifest in my loved ones that is increasing moment by moment.”

When we think of someone as having vitality, we think of someone who is living a joyful, faith-filled, exuberant, and happy life. Often, we see people who have faith, but who do not seem to be expressing much vitality in their daily living.

Jesus may have been thinking about vitality when He said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
John 10:10

Let us think about vital life — that beautiful expression of God life which manifests as animation, activity, vigor, health, and happiness. Let us rejoice in our own vitality.

Let us boldly affirm in prayer: “I am one with the vibrant quickening life of God within me, and within every cell of my body temple, and in every thought in my human mind.”

Our life is God-given.

We can stir up this precious gift of life by being alert and responsive to the ever-present life force within us.

Through our attunement to God, our mind is alert, our body is free and healthy, the situations in our life are orderly and prosperous as our life manifests, filled with abundant blessings.

DO YOU FEEL FREE?

“So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.”
John 8:36

A lot of people do not feel free. They may be involved in things that make them feel tied down. They may be tied to careers that they do not enjoy, or relationships with people in which they feel they cannot be themselves.

Others are imprisoned by thought, whether it be anger, unforgiveness, or an intense dislike of something.

You can feel free. You can free yourself through positive spirituality.

You are free in Christ. Because you are free in Christ, you are truly free. You are free from your past. You are free from resentments. You are free from fear. Through the Christ Spirit with you, and within you, you can be freed from negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

You are free to face this day with an uplifted heart, an open mind, and a bold, brave spirit. You are free to grow and unfold as the Christ reveals the way and the perfect timing for you.

You are free in Christ. You are not bound by what others think you should be or do. You are not bound by circumstances, time, or space. You are free in Christ to live – fully – and to have life, abundantly.

You accept the freedom to live, fully and completely. With the newfound freedom, you use the power, given by God, to rise to higher rounds of thinking about yourself, those around you, and the situations in your life. You are uplifted to new levels of prayer. You move forward to even greater success and fulfillment. You are alive and free in Christ – right now.

Dear God, I know God-life courses right now throughout my mind and body. I am whole. The mighty, Divine energy of God is with me and within me, renewing and restoring me. No matter what I face in my day, I acknowledge and accept the full power of God. I bathe my mind and my body in Divine light and life.

God-life is within me. It is powerful. I call it forth into expression through life-affirming prayer and meditation. I fill my mind with thoughts of perfect life. On the screen of my mind, I hold a picture of myself as happy, strong, and whole.

As a child of God, I know that together with God we can do anything. I know happiness is my right and wholeness is my right. With every moment, every heartbeat, Divine energy flows through my body, my life, and every situation I face.

God-life courses through you NOW and you are touched by God. God is your help in every need.

We decree this in Jesus Christ’s name.

God holds you in the power of Divine endless life. God’s perfect life is the life of your being and your body, and in your soul. It is absolutely unconditioned by any personal sense, fear-sense, or worry-sense. Life is infinite, boundless, vast, and right where you are.

In the silence of prayer, you think about new life in God …

The power of this endless life of God fills you with floodtides of energy and dynamic inner courage. This inner illumination feeds, nourishes, restores you, and makes you every whit whole. This same life overflows into your home, your business, your profession or art and causes it to move, act, and circulate with newness of vigor, vitality, initiative, with ever expanding ideas.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Thank God, IN GOD there is no sick, diseased or imperfect life. We are connected with God – ONE. God’s life can never be lost or destroyed by hereditary influence, diagnosis, or bad habits. Life never began, nor will it ever end. God, we are grateful that our whole being and the universe are teeming with this eternal life.

I ask you to rest and accept this in the silence of prayer …

Dear God, I am grateful that the whole universe is flowing and overflowing with the ecstasy and joy of the gift of God’s life. This life and energy is flowing in me, through me, and round about me all the time. All of life is working all the time. This is the glory of my endless life in our wonderful God.

With all my heart, I accept this as God’s Truth that makes me free today, tomorrow, and forever. I accept God, all the life there is as my very own life now. I am empowered and given expanded life!

Accept this in the silence of prayer …

In my every movement, I demonstrate more life. In my every thought, I demonstrate more life. All the life there is, is the endless reality of my being in God. New life is the essence of my substance, for I am made by the Creator.

I give thanks for the God-life that is in my mind, in my body.

Once I was in Florence Italy. The beauty of the artwork was overwhelming, it shows what one man or woman can achieve. Often, we stop ourselves in achieving greatness because we believe less of ourselves than God does of us. Our God-given abilities can achieve greater works than we might presently believe.

The dictionary defines a “fool” as one who shows him or her, by words or actions to be deficient in judgment.

Most of the time it is NOT other people that fool us, but WE OURSELVES !

Why is it that we say one thing and do another? We decide we are going to start an exercise program – tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and the goal is put off until another tomorrow. If questioned, we say that we want to do this above all else, and yet in action we do not follow through. We are NOT fooling others, WE ARE FOOLING OURSELVES.

Many people that have attended our seminars, and cruises have changed their lives, and many have not. The ones who did change, really wanted to, and they did it. But some did not. This always saddens my heart to see missed opportunity.

In the same way you have known people, who say they want to stop drinking, smoking, or go on a diet, but the desired activity was put off until there were no more tomorrows to put it off into.

Michelangelo worked on 44 statues in his life, but he only finished 14.

We are familiar with the ones that he completed – David in Florence Square, and Moses to mention a couple.

But the 30 he never finished are very interesting –

In a huge chunk of marble is sculpted an elbow, the beginning of a wrist; but the rest of the human is still locked up in the marble.

On another piece, the leg is out, thigh, knee, calf, heel, ankles, toes –

But the rest of the body is still frozen in marble. It will never come out! Seeing these in a museum — the thought strikes you – of all the tragedies in life, the greatest one is for a person to live and die and never know what their possibilities were.

I rode in the car with a man one time that was going on and on about how important the 55-mph speed limit was. As he talked, on and on, about how it had saved lives and accidents, I noticed the speedometer in his car. All the time that he was talking about how important going 55 miles an hour was, he was driving at least 75 miles an hour. He was fooling himself.

There is one way to stop fooling yourself. Do what you say you’re going to do without delay. Start now! Ask God’s help to motivate you and give you discipline.

Dear God, I speak to You today in complete gratitude and thankfulness. Thank You for your loving care in the past, in the present and always. I am very grateful and thankful for Your help in every need. Thank you for taking care of every one of us. Your provision is always farsighted for all of our needs. Dear God, my heart and mind joins in gratitude for Your wise guidance, Your still small voice that can be heard when I quiet myself enough to hear. You whisper in my ear words that are loving and reassuring. Thank You for Your wonderful teaching leading me to new heights of joy in living. Your strong assurance keeps me steady in all my ways. Just knowing that You are always with me fills me with gratitude. I feel Your presence guiding me, inspiring me, helping me and healing me. You are my tower of strength to walk through and face anything with courage. Thank You for always blessing me.

Dear God, You always know the best way that I should go. The certainty of knowing that I go to meet with my good that you have prepared for me fills me with gratitude. I thank You and I love You for all this. I realize that I will never fully know in human mind all that you do for me, for it is greater than my human comprehension.

Today and always, I know that You hold me in Divine order and harmony. You hold me in the rhythm and abundance of Your endless life. I know that I am forever established in Your health and well-being. You hold me in the rhythm of opportunity and abundance. Your good runs to meet me from every side. I am established in your riches and plenty. With every breath I take, with every step I take, I am more aware that I am preserved in the bounty that You have created.

I thank You God for Your endless love and care for myself, my family, friends and people everywhere.

There once was a man who had worked all his life and had saved all his money and was a real miser. He loved money more than just about anything. One day, he said to his wife, “When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me, because I want to take my money into the afterlife.”

He forced her to promise with all her heart that she’d obey his wish and put all their money in the casket with him.

Well, soon after he died.

His wife sat in the church during the funeral next to her best friend. When the ceremony was finished, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the widow said, “Wait just a minute!” and she placed a small box she had with her in her husband’s lifeless hands.

The undertakers then locked the casket and rolled it away.

The woman’s friend said, “I know you weren’t fool enough to put all your money in there with your husband!”

The widow replied, “Listen, I’m a Christian. I can’t go back on my word. I promised him that I was going to put our money in that casket with him and that’s what I did.”

“You mean to tell me you put all of your money in that casket?!!”

“I sure did,” said the widow.

“How’d you fit it all in that little box?” asked her friend.

“I wrote him a check.”

For those of us getting along in years, here is a little secret for building our arm and shoulder muscles. You might want to adopt this regimen! Three days a week works well.

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb. potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, then relax. Each day, you’ll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a few weeks, move up to 10-lb. potato sacks and then 50-lb. potato sacks, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb. potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.

After you feel confident at that level, start putting a couple of potatoes in each of the sacks but be careful not to overdo it.

Two men crashed in their private plane on a South Pacific Island. Both survived.

One of the men brushed himself off and then proceeded to run all over the island to see if they had any chance of survival. When he returned, he rushed up to the other man and screamed, “This island is uninhabited, there is no food, there is no water. We are going to die!”

The other man leaned back against the fuselage of the wrecked plane, folded his arms and responded, “No we’re not. I make over $100,000 a week.”

The first man grabbed his friend and shook him. “Listen, we are on an uninhabited island. There is no food, no water.

We are going to die!” The other man, unruffled, again responded.

“No, I make over $100,000 a week.”

Mystified, the first man, taken aback with such an answer again repeated, “For the last time, I’m telling you we are doomed. There is no one else on this island. There is no food. There is no water. We are, I repeat, we are going to die.”

Still unfazed, the first man looked the other in the eyes and said, “Don’t make me say this again. I make over $100,000 per week. I tithe 10%. Believe me, my pastor will find us.

GOD’S GROCERY STORE

As I was walking down life’s
highway many years ago
I came upon a sign that read
God’s Grocery Store.

When I got a little closer
the doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself
I was standing inside.

I saw a host of angels.
They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket and said
“My child shop with care.”

Everything a human needed
was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry
you could come back for more.

First, I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
you need that everywhere you go.

I got a box or two of Wisdom
and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course
I would need some of that too.

I couldn’t miss the Holy Spirit
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength and Courage
to help me run this race.

My basket was getting full but
I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose God’s help for
God’s help was for free

I tried to get enough of that
to do for you and me.

Then I started to the counter
to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything
to do the Master’s will.

As I went up the aisle I saw
Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside
I would run into challenges that I would be in.

Peace and Joy were plentiful,
the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise were hanging near
so, I just helped myself.

Then I said to the angel
How much do I owe?”
He smiled and said
“Just take them everywhere you go.”

Again, I asked “Really now,
how much do I owe?”
“My child” he said, “God loves you so much
and paid your bill a long, long time ago!”

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’s only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn’t hear the band – he could see it in his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, “Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.”

Epilogue: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can’t buy. Today is a gift, that’s why it is called the present.”

“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.”
Psalms 46:4

One of my favorite, great writers was Mary Kuperle, she was a dear friend. She had a gentle writing style that touched readers in depth.

Below are some of her words that I pray will touch you.

“Be assured, dear friend, in this very moment, God will see you through. God will see you through any challenging experience. God will see you through everything in life. God’s presence will sustain you. God’s love will reinforce you. God’s wisdom will guide you. God’s peace will see you through.”

Regardless of any test facing you, God will see you through, wonderfully. God will see you through, safely. God will see you through, wisely. God will see you through, successfully.

Release all fear, doubt, and anxiety, remembering that God will see you through. God will provide all you need of peace, strength, wisdom, patience, faith, and courage. God’s love will see you through, not just adequately, but wonderfully.

In moments of greatest need, and searching for help, I realized that only God could see me through. God could, and God did. When I needed strength, it was provided. When I needed peace, God supplied it. God brought me through the experience with greater faith than ever in God’s goodness, love, and ever-present support, in every way.

Yes, dear friend, God will see you through, always, in everything.

I again turned to the words, “God will see me through,” as a rod and staff to hold it to me, secure in faith, when no answer seemed forthcoming, and every avenue of help was either delayed or closed … the entire situation was beautifully resolved.

No matter what the circumstance, how difficult or how impossible you feel it may be, God will see you through. If life is demanding strength that you think you do not have, wisdom you think you do not possess, tact, patience, forgiveness, love, and peace that you feel are foreign to you, remember God will see you through with God’s strength, God’s peace, God’s infinite supply.

Affirm boldly in prayer:

“I am safe in the presence of God. I know that God will see me through.”

Dear God, no matter how busy I may seem to be, my most important priority on any day is to spend time with You.
By staying centered in you, I can do what I need to do.
I discover order and contribute to it.
As I pray to You I remain calm and alert.

One of your God-given gifts is your faculty of imagination. You can envision a new, positive beginning and new opportunity. Some of the time, we use our God-given gift of imagination in the worst way, by imagining the worst. Create a marriage of your faith and positive imagination, and you will see new wonders quickly unfold in your life.

You have a spiritual doorway that you can go through that will open new vistas for your life. New doors are open to you, today. With a confident spirit, you now go forward to live the kind of life that God intends you to live.

Knowing the possibility of what can be is an exciting adventure in growth and self-mastery. There is, within every moment of your life, the potential for positive change.

You close the door to limiting thoughts and patterns of negative thinking. Happiness is your personal responsibility. You create your world according to your own thinking. Your thinking is based on a foundation of your prayer life. You know, without a doubt, that all things work together for good in your life – because God is in your life!

You live one day at a time, experiencing fully each activity. You let go of persons in situations that need releasing and bless them as you move ahead. New doors of good are open, and yesterday’s closed doors have little importance today – they no longer hold you back.

You open your mind, heart, and soul to the miracle-working power of God.

In our Bible, in 1 Corinthians 2:9, it states, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of humans conceived, what God has prepared for those who love God.”

Your mind is an open door to light and understanding. You are inspired with God ideas and you have renewed enthusiasm for life and living.

Your heart is an open door, receptive to the joy, peace, and love of God. You feel greatly loved and greatly blessed. You know that the loving presence of God is always with you.

There is an open door to God’s miracles in your life today. Miracles are happening to you, through you, and all around you. You are one with God and God’s miracle working power

You use your faith staying connected to God; your God-given gift of imagination thinks about the best. You will soon discover the spiritual mystery that this will quickly draw the best to you from God.

I invite you now to join with me in a sweet time of quiet contemplation in prayer.

Closing the eyes, we give permission to the body temple to relax and be still. God is love, and in this quiet time of prayer, I invite you to consider being IN love. I invite you to bring all the thoughts and feelings of being IN love to this moment, right here and right now. Feel the warmth it brings from within you. Feel the peace and serenity of God that is established within us.

To be in love opens possibilities never dreamed of.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

In your mind’s eye, bring into your awareness an individual or individuals you love. See them there before you. Feel the love of God, from within you, surrounding and enfolding them. To be IN love, to allow that God love to move through you, to express itself, is truly wonderful.

IN love, in the silence of prayer …

As you feel, right here and now, the warmth of being in love, consider that God is in love with you. We could not love another if we had not first known God’s love. God is in love with you. In the quietness of your being, consider and contemplate that love of God, surrounding and enfolding you, right here and now.

Accept the love of God in the silence of prayer …

God has always been, and will always be, in love with you. In all your ways, all your endeavors, all your struggles and victories, God is in love with you.

Now, as you ever so gently bring your spiritual awareness back to this moment in time, know that you bring with you an ever deeper awareness of God’s love for you and all others.

Infinite and ever-loving God, we do give thanks.

These things we do affirm, in the name and in the power of the loving living presence of Jesus Christ.

And so it is … Amen.
