“With humans it is impossible, but not with God; for ALL things are possible with God.”
Mark 10:27

No matter what seems impossible in your life, God can bring the possible help to help you reach your potential.

The Bible teaches you that, through faith in God, you have the potential to rise above all adversity and achieve victory.

This is as true today, as it was in Jesus’ day.

Nothing is impossible when you focus your attention and faith on God. God is with you every moment and can be called upon for help in every need. By trusting in God completely, Moses led the Israelites to the Promised Land; Elijah raised the widow’s son from the dead; Jesus Christ healed the sick, fed the multitudes, and overcame death; and Paul rose above torture and imprisonment to carry the good news of the risen Christ to all who would listen!

You, too, enter a promised land of abundant plenty as you focus your faith on God’s promises to you. You are made whole, well, and perfect in every way when you accept God as your health and wholeness. You are prospered abundantly and your desires are fulfilled as a direct result of your faith in God’s will of good for you. With God, all things are possible for you and your future IS bright.

Every second of your life you are surrounded by the life-sustaining air that provides the oxygen you need. Although you’re not always conscious of the air around you, it is present.

In much the same way, you are constantly surrounded and enfolded by God’s life-giving, loving provision for you. Divine love will prosper you today and everyday and fulfill and motivate you.

God is everywhere present; therefore, Divine love and Divine potentiality is everywhere present with you – in your life today and into the tomorrow’s of your life. God’s loving provision for you assures you that you have all that you need to be prosperous in your days ahead.

God’s love is accessible to you at all times, regardless of where you are.

Let us take time to become still in prayer by making a conscious connection with God. Then we become aware of the guidance that we need, head of the actions that we are to take.

We pray for an open mind that is receptive to God in guiding us to our potential, to the way for true prosperity to be made manifest in our life, and in all circumstances of our life.

Reach your potential with God’s help. With God – NOTHING – is impossible!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, KINDNESS, goodness, faithfulness, GENTLENESS, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23

We all pray for a kinder and gentler world – what we must spiritually realize is, it begins with us.

The ancient philosopher Philo of Alexandria (20 AD – 50 AD) said, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” It seems some things in the human realm never change. Times have never been tougher than they are right now for a lot of people, and the “normal” tendency in tough times may be to withdraw from others because we are so consumed by our own fears, concerns and problems.

However, when we withdraw, that’s when a sense of isolation comes flooding in. And, yet, if we think about it, a simple act of kindness to another can instantly reconnect them to life in ways we may never know.

Just think about that. Your act of kindness, and gentleness, could be the bridge that another needs at that moment to get them through the day. And, irrespective of the simplicity of the act you may think you are extending to others, universally speaking, there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness.

Every act of kindness and gentleness creates a ripple effect which reaches out far beyond your act. That’s the empowering thing about kindness – when we receive kindness we are naturally inspired to extend it to others.

Lena Horne said that she really didn’t become a success as a human being until she took time to be kinder to everyone. She said, “it was my responsibility to remove my own chip from my own shoulder. When I did, the world became a sweet place, and great success professional, and personal, followed.”

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.”
Proverbs 3:3

George H. W. Bush said, “America is never wholly herself unless she is engaged in high moral principle. We as a people have such a purpose today. It is to make kinder the face of the nation and gentler the face of the world.”

One of God’s purposes, and God’s Will for your life, is for you to become kinder in a godly way to everyone that is part of your world. This is not always easy, but it must be done. We must strive to do this, as much as we strive to learn a skill to become a success at a chosen profession. Kindness is the profession of our soul. Kindness is the soul’s path out of loneliness to a destination of happiness.

As it says in Philippians 4:5,” Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.”

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear kind God, there is no one gentler with us than You, especially when we deserve the opposite.

There is no one as welcoming of all people, as kind to the broken, or as understanding of the struggling as You.

You are gentle, yet persistent; gentle, yet firm; gentle, yet so very powerful.

You are the only physician I want working on my inner heart.

You never get nervous, flustered, agitated, or hurried.

You have a steady hand because of Your steady heart.

By the truth and power of the gospel, come and make of me a true gentle-human – someone whose gentleness is “evident to all,” and not just evident to the people who are so easy for me to be with.

Gentle me when I’m behind slow drivers who stay in the fast lane.

Gentle me when I face both fair and unfair criticism.

Gentle me when I think things that are obvious to me ought to be obvious to everybody else.

Gentle me when loud, boorish people invade “my” space – as though I have an inalienable right to an uninterrupted life.

Gentle me when I’m too tired to engage but the other person really needs me to listen.

Gentle me when I need a nap, but my children need to play.

Gentle me when several things break in the same week.

Gentle me when three stores “just ran out” of the one thing I need.

Gentle me when I try to assume control over things which are your domain.

In fact, gentle me when, dear God when I get tired of waiting for You.

Gentle me when friends keep making the same mistakes and foolish choices.

Gentle me when the restaurant sends me home with the wrong takeout order.

Gentle me when I start debating theology rather than loving the people who see things differently.

Gentle me when I cannot fix the very people You never gave me to fix.

Gentle me quick, whenever I begin to get defensive, irritated, anxious, impatient … and when I “cop” other attitudes that contradict Your grace and love.

Jesus, as this Scripture says, You are so near us in the gospel; in fact, You live in our hearts.

May every expression of Your nearness generate a much quicker change on my part.

Make me a gentle kind human living by the gospel, and for Your glory.

How good it feels to go to God in prayer. I ask you spiritually, quietly to turn to the presence of God. This is an all-powerful prayer power contact with God, within you. I ask you to have a complete awareness of God. Bring the awareness of God into your mind.

Dear God, thank you for the opportunities of life abundantly provided for me on my future path. I ask for Your abiding presence to be with me. I ask that You guide me in the directions that I need to go, and show me the way to the highest accomplishment.

As you bring the awareness of God to your mind, God will speak to you. Here is what God says to you this moment: Dear child, your future is good. Your future is absolute good. There is a wonderful, tremendous door in front of you. Willingly you have walked through this door. The threshold is wide and long. It is the door of your future. God and you and the future are one in security, strength, poise, and power, Wonderfully and well hath God prepared all things for you and yours and all Graciously, lovingly, thoughtfully, God has lavished rich, fruitful provision of Supply for your every need.

You advance now into teeming plenty. You go in and possess the land, the place where the good, the prosperity, and-the health is already prepared for you by God. God hath provided and prepared the way for you to go: There is no space or place where God’s love hath not already, prepared the way for you to go.

Know this minute, in this prayer, that there is no such thing as an unknowable future. God is all knowing and all knowable. The dread, the fearful, ignorant, and superstitious thoughts, all melt away before the blazing light of God’s Truth. The earth is of the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, and SO IS the future. New heights reveal new glorious immensities, possibilities without end for you.

You are forever freed from earthbound concepts. Your future is good. God is good – infinite without time, space or distance. You know this. You know that good is just as true now as it will be a billion trillion years from now.

You know that God fills the future and governs your future just as much as God does this day. Tomorrow is growing, right now, out of what you’re thinking and praying about today. Your future, your wondrous, glorious future is going on in your thinking right now.

You are advancing from glory to glory, from the known and the familiar to what God has prepared for those who love God. How we do love God! What do we have to meet in the future? We have to meet God everywhere we go. We dwell on this and think about our love for God as we meet God in the silence of prayer.

Your future is very good because it is already going on in the mind of God.

Dear God, we praise You today and we appreciate You. Thou prepareth a table before us, and, before we get there, everything we need is already prepared and waiting. There is ample provision for me and mine, and all my future is absolute good.

I have a new trust this moment in You.

With God, I rest,
With God I prepare.
There is a Divine great future in my life!

As I prepare to open my eyes, I pray that this prayer time goes on ALL day, and ALL year. I pray that it accelerates an attitude, a feeling, and a perception inside of me of the power of God being with me and for me. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray in the knowledge of that good from God.

Don’t ever go it alone. Form a working partnership with God, and make God the first partner, communicating daily through prayer.

Prayer is the means by which you open yourself to the healing power of God that is always with you. In prayer you are made totally and vitally alive. You gladly and gratefully accept the privilege of communicating with God in prayer. God responds by releasing in you a miracle working power that transforms conditions, and transforms your body into a temple of health and wholeness.

With renewed faith, you enter into a true partnership with God in bringing forth a body radiant with life, health, and vitality. And with renewed faith, you and God can move mountains of difficulties in your life. No matter what you’re facing today, God is bigger and stronger than your problems. God knows how to handle the situation and God is waiting to help you.

In prayer you see yourself as God sees you. You honor God by thinking only thoughts that picture pure faith and hope, pure life and health, and pure wholeness in every part of your thinking and your feeling. You build a new state of awareness in prayer that calls forth the image and likeness of perfection in which you were created.

It’s hard to believe these were actually done by first graders. Their insight may surprise you. Can You Sleep When the Wind Blows?

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast. He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.

As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received a steady stream of refusals.

Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached the farmer. “Are you a good farmhand?” the farmer asked him.

“Well, I can sleep when the wind blows,” answered the little man. Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man’s work.

Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired hand’s sleeping quarters. He shook the little man and yelled, “Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!”

The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, “No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows.”

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm. To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightly secured.

Everything was tied down.

Nothing could blow away.

The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew.

MORAL: When you’re prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life? The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he had secured the farm against the storm.

We, as believers in Christ, secure ourselves against the storms of life by grounding ourselves in the power of God. We don’t need to worry; we just need to hold God’s hand to have peace in the midst of the storms.

Be prepared by being pre-prayed for the storms of life!

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:

Dear God, I pray ahead of the need.
I pray that I am always prepared in advance, by spiritually, and then physically, taking action.
I go to You first, to seek Your direction.
I know You always lead me away from trouble.

In God, you live and move and have your being. You ask God’s guidance in all that you do. You listen in the stillness of prayer, for instruction, so that all your actions are guided by God.

Like a child with absolute trust, you turn every situation in your life over to God’s care. You know that the light of God’s wisdom shines on every step you take. The darkness is gone and you see clearly. You take one step at a time on the pathway of spiritual living.

The still depths of the ocean are undisturbed by surface waves. In the still depths of prayer, God’s spirit resides. The pure life of God is undisturbed by experiences. Therefore, as you take your stand with God, you remain stable and steady. The maze of life is untangled with God’s help. The valleys of life are lifted up, the mountains of problems are leveled, and the rough places smoothed out.

If you are facing a challenge, you keep your thoughts away from the waves of discomfort and anchored in the depths of peace and quiet in God. A miracle takes place, for miracles are natural. God-given guidance comes forth that is unimpeded by fear and questioning. You never fail to keep in touch with the still depths of prayer out of which all answers emanate.

You take your stand with God, for in God there is no lack. In God, there is order, and it springs forth from within you. You bring your outer experiences in line with the inner spiritual you. This spiritual part of you does not get impatient or frustrated with outer conditions– for it knows its connection with God.

Following Jesus Christ, you remember the biblical passage in Philippians 1:27, “Let your manner of life be worthy of the Gospel of Christ.”

You dedicate a portion of your prayer time to being one with God, rather than always talking to God.

In the silence of prayer, you truly experience the presence of God. You feel the all-encompassing love of God and rest in the stillness where all answers come forth. Your prayer needs no words; your prayer is silent communion with God. The silence of prayer is a time of knowing in the depths of your soul that you are one with God.

In the silence of prayer, you lay aside all cares and concerns of the outer world. In the silence of prayer, you come to God for an infilling of assurance, and you receive it.

You return to the outer world with the trust in the power of God to direct you and to perfect all in your life..

Dear God, I ask you to transform my thoughts so that I can think clearly and act wisely.
I pray You will illumine me with Your wisdom.

“Trust in the Lord, to do good … Take DELIGHT in the Lord, and God will give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalms 37:3,4

This day use the spiritual energy of attracting power of delight and bring the desires of your heart.

Let your DELIGHT SHINE!

One of the keys of the above Bible quote is to “DELIGHT in the Lord.” This is positive faith at its best. Delight means to be pleased greatly, it means great pleasure, and joy. When you are in a state of delight, you are in your highest energy, where you can do things that would be impossible, when you are downcast.

Like an automobile has gears that allow it to go slow, or at high speed, you too have a spiritual gearing. When you are in a state of delight, you are running at your very highest speed, one that produces great creativity, and even genius thinking, through you. It is a state of consciousness that produces a heaven on earth environment. You are not affected by your surroundings; you are affected by what you feel at your core.

Through the presence of God, you have access to world of infinite possibilities. Nothing is impossible to you because nothing is impossible to God. You delight in God’s possibilities and in this high state of energy; you use your creative imagination to think thoughts not limited by present circumstances.

The imagination has been called the scissors of the mind, for with it you mentally “cut the pattern” of future forms and events. You can write your own kind of novel daily if you have the imagination, and heart to see the greatness in daily life.

You can never receive anything in life that you can’t first picture in your mind. To set it right, see it right! Be bold and adventurous in your imagination. It is the only way to go. You will be working in accordance with your God-given gifts, according to your faith of delight.

You can be whatever you want to be. Anything you can imagine – you can express. The more you dare to imagine your desired good as a fulfilled result, the more you dare to live your mental images, the faster the imaging power of your mind will begin producing faith-filled results for you.

Thinking is a Divine gift from God. Imagination is a phase of thought that makes thinking productive. Old or young, the finely honed creative imagination is the result of exercise and use. Of all the workings of the mind, perhaps the most important is imagination. As your leg muscles are strengthened by walking, so is your imagination by use. Since nature of the imagination is to grow and expand and change, it is anything but static and can be developed into astonishing power, even from seeming nothingness.

Throughout history there has been no progress of humans without expansion of the imagination. Faith in God perceives the good and imagination pictures or conceives it in absolute delight. And thus, a pattern is set up for the mind to live in absolute delight. You do live in your mind.

Many people would not walk through their own minds late at night – because it’s a scary place. But when you live in delight, all the world becomes heaven, and all heaven manifests as your world.

Spend this week exercising your God-given DELIGHT.

Love soothes my life, calms my life, and pours forth a healing balm into every situation and relationship.
I now relate to everyone in a new way.

Divine delight satisfies every longing in my life.

At times, I may feel as though I have moved through darkness.
By affirming that I live and move in the glow of pure God’s delight, darkness is dispelled.
Love shines from within me, and only my own limited beliefs and negative thoughts can dim its glow.
I choose not to dim – but to glow.

God’s delight causes me to rejoice in life.
God’s pure love is always with me.
I arise, recognize it, and let it shine.
I am empowered to go forth and do what is mine to do this time.

I am secure in the knowledge that wherever I am, and wherever I go, I live and move in the glow of God’s pure delight.

“God HAS MADE KNOWN TO US in all wisdom and insight the mystery of God’s will.”
Ephesians 1:9

The harmony of the beloved hymn that we all recall, resounds the truth – Holy, holy, holy … Lord God Almighty. We now go to God in prayer.

Feel the chair supporting you. Feel your body sink deeply into the soft cushions. Feel your feet inside your shoes as they touch the floor. Sit up as straight as it is comfortable for you. Raise your head up high. Feel your spine lengthen and straighten as you do so.

Feel God is supporting you in the same way, uplifting you, and your life.

Take a deep breath and let it out slowly. Take another. Breathe it in, deeply and let it out, slowly. Follow your breath, in and out. Peace be still. Peace be still.

As you breathe in, deeply, and let it out, slowly, know your connectedness with God.

Say silently to yourself in prayer: God is with me.

With the in-breath say, “God goes ahead of me preparing my way of good.”

With the out-breath say, “God is with me.”

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Let the Presence and experience of God’s holiness permeate you from this moment on throughout the day. May the holiness of God come together and touch you, completely, missing nothing.

In the silence of prayer, you become still and realize that the love of God is flowing throughout your being. You recognize Divine love as the one true source of all that you will ever need. You know that as Divine love works through you, it will bring harmony to every circumstance in your life.

Let us sit now in the silence of prayer and meditate in this way, breathing in, deeply, breathing out, slowly, and repeating silently: God is with me. With the in-breath say “God goes ahead of me preparing my way of good,” and with the out-breath say, “God is with me.”

Do this now in the silence of prayer …

We are filled with the whole, complete Spirit of God’s help.

We give thanks to God for Divine guidance, we are grateful that it is available to us at all times. Wisdom and good judgment are ours to be experienced when we follow the inspiration we’ve received from God.

We know that we are being Divinely directed on the path that will lead us to the greatest happiness and success.

For this experience and for the presence of the Presence, we are grateful.
