Do you ever feel at a dead end?
God’s wisdom gives new life to you!

Sometimes it may seem as though life is a endless series of decision-making situations. Perhaps you have a decision to make this day. Many of the situations seem to demand constant decision-making.

In Isaiah 58:11 our Bible states, “And the Lord will guide you continually.” God does not guide you once and then leave you hanging. God helps and continues to help.

If you ever feel the loss for a solution to some problem, you need to reaffirm your faith in the infinite wisdom of God. If you turn today to God in prayer, know that God will be waiting to help you. Turn in the quietness of prayer to your eternal source of peace and understanding. As you attune yourself to Divine wisdom, you begin to sense a feeling of peace about things. You know that God has the perfect answer and that this answer is being revealed to you. In Jeremiah 33 it states, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

Your human mind can be a receiver for the outpouring of the wisdom of God. Many Bible people have experienced this and the great life that it brings. In First Corinthians 4:4 the writer states, “I know nothing of myself.”

The human being that relies upon God’s wisdom has the power of genius working in her, or him. You will be able to trust your intuition that will always lead you to the right answers. Because God leads you to the right answers continually, you will be able to listen to God throughout the day. You will be able to use God’s wisdom to make wise choices. Part of true wisdom is seeing beyond appearances to what is truly there. You will be able to choose what is right and good for you when you seek insight from God.

I pray with you that when you go to God you receive your answer. I know that God has the perfect answer and that this answer will be revealed to you. When you become receptive in prayer to Divine wisdom, you are free from anxiety. God goes ahead of you guiding you with Divine wisdom. You calmly meet the issues of life with the assurance that with God’s help you will see the right path clearly and follow it without mistake.

Problems are nothing to God. Every problem can be solved in a wonderful way as you keep attuned to God’s wisdom and rely on the all-knowing, all-loving presence with you.

Dear God, I face a decision-making situation and I ask Your help. Think through my human mind and open my human eyes to see more than human seeing. I am willing to see new and better ways to go. I ask You to guide my steps. I pray that You will give me continuous wisdom that will give my life God-given genius-power.

~GOD’S HELP WITH MEETING YOUR GOALS~

I have always asked for God’s help in meeting my goals. I don’t believe that I could meet them on my own. With God’s help, you will be able to even surpass what your original goals were.

In the absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily tasks of trivia. We waste our time, and some have wasted entire lives.

There are true heroes to be looked up to in life, and one of my heroes is an outstanding African-American woman by the name of Barbara Smith.

Growing up in tiny Everson, Pennsylvania, Barbara Smith had loads of energy and dreams big enough that consumed that energy. But she was from a small town, and very few people believed she would ever find the success she dreamed about. The first step on her road to success was to leave Everson for Pittsburgh.

In Pittsburgh, Barbara got a job as a ground hostess for TWA Airlines, the first African-American woman ever to be hired for that position. While working for TWA, Barbara tried her hand at modeling. As a child, Barbara had told the people in her small town that, someday, she would be a model with the Ebony Fashion Fair, a traveling fashion show for African-American women. People laughed at her, but this did not discourage Barbara. She applied for two years in a row and didn’t make it, but the third year, she was chosen for the Fashion Fair. Another dream was fulfilled, but things did not suddenly become easy for her.

Barbara began pursuing modeling jobs on her own, while trying to get signed on by a major modeling agency. It was grueling work, balancing her different jobs and visiting all the agencies regularly. Barbara was turned down, over and over again, but she never stopped trying. Eventually, Wilhelmina, a top agency, signed her on. Still, the competition for modeling jobs was tough, and Barbara had to work twice as hard as the other women to get assignments. Instead of becoming discouraged, she prayed and developed a philosophy that, if she just stayed with it, she would be there when someone else didn’t show up. If nothing else, just being there would put her ahead of the game.

Barbara set her sights on appearing in Mademoiselle magazine, a leader in the fashion and beauty business. Instead of waiting for her agency to promote her, Barbara constantly visited the Mademoiselle offices herself, showing them her latest modeling portfolio and discussing ideas with them. Barbara kept getting sent to a Mademoiselle agent named Felicia, who didn’t seem interested in her work. But one day, Barbara showed up at Mademoiselle, and Felicia didn’t show up that day. A receptionist, who was familiar with Barbara, sent her straight to the beauty editor. Barbara became the first African-American woman to grace the cover of mademoiselle magazine. Barbara’s modeling career took off after that.

When Barbara left modeling, she explored a variety of career paths. She worked as a play producer, actress, author, and singer. She decided to enter the restaurant business. True to her strict work ethic, Barbara insisted on apprenticing in other restaurants, learning the business from the ground up. Today, Barbara Smith runs two highly successful, upscale restaurants called B. Smith’s, one located in New York City and one in Washington D.C. She has also published a book on elegant entertaining. Lack of encouragement, rejection, and racism could have discouraged Barbara Smith from pursuing her dreams, but she refused to give up on what she wanted. She is a perfect example of motivation and perseverance. She is a perfect example of what God, positive thinking, and positive movement can accomplish.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said, “When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot, and hang on.” I believe the knot at the end of our rope is faith in God. My heroes in life are the people that keep going, no matter how tough the going gets.

God helps people when they need a jump-start. Many times, a person needs to focus anew on what they can accomplish in their lifetime, with their human power, teamed up and joined perfectly with God-power.

Barbara reinvented herself over and over again and we must do the same. I often tell people that the Rev. in front of my name stands for “revised.”

I do not want to finish the same as I started, I am no longer a church Rev. I am more of a writer now, and I can’t tell you how much that would surprise every English teacher I ever had in school.

You can accomplish more than you could ever imagine when the power of God comes through you. God’s not done with you yet!

I believe that you can accomplish great things, if you are willing, and if you will keep going, no matter how tough it gets. God will give you the strength and God will show you the way. We struggle, often, to get our desired goals; the satisfaction is great when we have a personal victory. With God empowering you, you will rise above defeat and be a true and lasting winner in the game of life.

Tuesday Prayer and Meditation

“Without ceasing I mention you always in my prayers.”
Romans 1:9

This is the time when we experience the presence and the power of God. Meditation is the time when we go in prayer and feel and know that we are one with God, that we always have been and always will be.

We have prepared for this time. I would like you to find a comfortable position; maybe put your feet flat on the floor and take anything that might be in your hands and put it aside. Breathe deeply at your own pace, several times.

With each inhalation, know that you are drawing in faith, as well as fresh oxygen. With each exhalation, know that you are letting go of tensions, stress, and strain. You breathe in faith and you let go of any thoughts or feeling or frustrations that have made you feel separate from God.

Breathe deeply and release slowly and gently. Know with me, silently in prayer: I am relaxed; I am poised; I am at peace; I am one with God; I always have been and always will be. For the next few moments, I stop worrying about what might be and I stop fretting over what has been.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I am still, centered in my heart, and there I meet with God. There in the quiet, in the peace and love-filled space of my heart, I remember what my life is about, what my dream is, what my heart-song is. I remember something I may have let go of many years ago, believing it was impractical, or I was incapable of accomplishing it, or that it just would not make any difference to anyone. I surround that dream, that vision, with my belief.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

This day, many of us have dreams. God will help us to make this world a better place. One of the best ways to live our own dreams, is to be free and not encumbered by lack of faith.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

God helps you to be capable of accomplishing your dream. Believe that. God is helping me, making me capable of accomplishing my dream. If I give myself over to that dream, totally, if I am clear in what it is that my heart longs to sing, if I am committed, if I cooperate with God and my fellow human beings, it is achievable.

This day, dare to believe there is a song in you that will lift you above frustration, feelings of failure, doubt, insecurity, or fear. It will lift you to a new life, greater happiness, fulfillment, peace of mind, prosperity, and health. By going in prayer and finding the song of your heart, giving yourself over to it, and working in partnership with God, you are unstoppable.

Dream your dream. Live your life as you have always wanted to, and trust God in the universe to stream into you and provide you with all the resources and energy and wisdom you need to stand tall and to proudly sing your song. You can do it. It is the truth about you. It is the truth about God with you, right now.

Now, gently, peacefully, serenely, draw your attention back to this place and time. Take another deep breath and know that you are prepared for the truth that is your truth, this day, from God.

May God bless us all.

I have said many times, that my life didn’t start to improve until I started to tithe. When I started to tithe everything changed for the better, and lasting, permanent, success came.

The above Bible verse in 2 Corinthians tells us that God loves a cheerful giver. God wants us to give to our source of spiritual food so that we might experience the true joy of giving, and sharing with those around us. The point of Paul’s message to the Corinthians is this: those who contribute generously, receive generously. Because God has graciously given us so much, we can give to others. Paul gives principles of giving to the Corinthians. He says, “Don’t give reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

When you give, you experience the true joy of knowing you’ve made a positive impact by directly helping God, and you acknowledge that there is something more important out there than money or material things. True, lasting, happiness comes through Christ-like living – in an unselfish, caring and loving manner.

When you make a decision to tithe, it is a decision to give directly to God. The decision to give should NOT be based on what your spiritual source has done for you, as significant as that may be; it is a deep desire in you to help God, and to give back to God but a small portion of what you have received every day of your life. Make no mistake; every tithe is a DIRECT GIFT OF GOD, not to an organization. Of course the organization will be benefited, and should be, if they are doing the work of God.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 in our Bible states, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things have an abundance for every good work.”

The ancients were masters at mixing farming metaphors into their own view of life. The Jews used similar agriculture imagery throughout the entire book of the Old Testament. In order for Paul to come up with his own illustration for the opening point of this passage, he used much of the well-known agricultural imagery familiar to the Jewish people: the more seed a person plants, the more crops they will reap at harvest time. Paul uses this principal and compares it to giving. Those who give liberally will reap a generous reward in God’s kingdom.

And why should we give liberally? Because God has been generous to us.

James 1:17 says: “Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” God is the author of everything good, and God doesn’t change.

Many have made the decision to become a sustaining supporter with a reoccurring monthly gift. It as easy to set up. Even a gift of a few dollars, multiplying monthly, makes a huge difference in what we are able to do.

TITHING PRAYER

(To prepare you for tithing in the highest spiritual way, USE THIS EVERY TIME YOU TITHE)

I tithe and I prosper in everything I think, say and do.

I give to God and God gives unsparingly to me.

I give of the first fruits of my earnings, money, time, devotion, ability.

With undeviating devotion I give to God’s ministry, my church, which prospers and protects the world of humans.

This leaven of love–this tithe– is the tie that binds me to God’s good.

The Law of Reciprocity–Giving and Receiving–knows no lack or cessation.

This Law of Compensation works all the time for me and all humankind.

Giving my tithe to God, I unerringly connect myself with the source of Divine abundance itself. This is the spiritual secret of the increase and multiplication in all my ways.

The kingdom of expansion is within me.

The more I give the more I receive.

I am aware of my Divine obligation at all times.

I cheerfully give of the little sums, the big sums and of the scattered sums.

I give my tenth part to God, lovingly, joyously, faithfully!

This insures my security–my life, health, success, prosperity, and satisfaction.

My tithe goes to spiritual works and spiritual works alone, for this money is God’s.

Thus my income and outgo are forever active, sustained, rich, fruitful, by the Almighty grace of God.

I smile as I give. Gratefully, and faithfully, I put my love and gratitude in with my tithe to the Infinite One.

Richly, I experience the endless supply of God’s love and blessings.

I praise the Lord, my God, all the days of my life for God has given wondrously to me.

I consent, and am fully willing, I am ready to give unto God the first fruits of my substance at all times. I tithe and I prosper, for God has shown me the spiritual power to continuously succeed.

Thank You God for the privilege of helping You.

TECH SUPPORT

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from boyfriend to husband and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under boyfriend.

In addition, husband uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance and Personal Attention and then installed undesirable programs such as Football, Golfing and Continuous TV. Conversation no longer runs, and Housecleaning simply crashes the system. I’ve tried running Nagging to fix these problems, but to no avail.

Dear Desperate,

First keep in mind, boyfriend is an Entertainment Package, while husband is an Operating System. Please enter the command: ‘http: I Thought You Loved Me.html’ and try to download Tears. Don’t forget to install the Guilt update. If that application works as designed, husband should then automatically run the applications Jewelry and Flowers, but remember … over-use of the above application can cause husband to default to Grumpy Silence, Garden Shed or Man Cave.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources). Also, do not attempt to reinstall the boyfriend program. These are unsupported applications and will crash husband.

In summary, husband is a great system, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. It also tends to work better running one task at a time. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Rich Food and Compliments.

MISSING WIFE!

Husband: My wife is missing. She went shopping yesterday and has not come home.

Sheriff: What is her height?

Husband: Gee, I’m not sure. A little over five-feet tall.

Sheriff: Weight?

It has a custom matching white cover for the bed, which has a matching aftermarket bed liner. Custom leather 6-way seats and “Bubba” floor mats. Trailering package with gold hitch and special wiring hook-ups. DVD with full GPS navigation, satellite radio receiver, 23-channel CB radio, six cup holders, a USB port, and four power outlets. I added special alloy wheels and off-road Michelins. It has custom running boards and indirect wheel well lighting.

At this point the husband started choking up.

WHO TOOK YOUR PLACE?

One day, a man went to visit a church. He arrived early, parked his car, and got out. Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told him, “I always park there. You took my place!”

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat, and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, “That’s my seat! You took my lace!” The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the church sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, “That’s where I always sit. You took my place!” The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still said nothing.

Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled-feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, “What happened to you?”

The visitor replied, “I took your place.”

Pray this prayer aloud, AND BELIEVE! –

I realize in this Holy moment of time that God is my source of all good. The storehouses of my good never run empty. I have faith that a storehouse of good is available to me NOW! I believe that, with God, my needs are bountifully met. The ever-present love of God surrounds me. I believe that I have great value because God will work through me. I keep my mind centered on employment success. If a thought of limitation comes to my mind, I agree to immediately replace it with a God vision of good employment awaiting my acceptance.

God supplies me with ideas that bring forth good in a variety of new ways. I give thanks RIGHT NOW for Divine ideas and I implement them immediately. I rest on the realization that doors are opening to me right now. I have a choice of perfect employment and through God’s guidance, I choose correctly.

I am not limited to my past. I rest in the realization that good is being demonstrated in all areas of my life. I am open to greater achievement than ever before achieved. I open my mind to prosperity. I am ready and willing to accept promotions and raises. God will equip me with the wisdom I need to achieve at a higher level of the employment than I have experienced thus far.

I am an active conductor of God’s good. I believe in my abilities because they are God-given continuously. I am a blessing to every employer and company. People perceive me as giving more than I receive. I am a light of positive thought and action in the workplace. My mind is empowered by God-Mind. Nothing is impossible to me.

Every résumé and application that I send forth is anointed with the Divine vibratory presence to attract good to it. My applications are impossible to overlook. Everything written about me will be positive.

God is with me as I interview. God speaks through me and surrounds my very presence with the attracting power of the Divine. I am blest and I am a blessing, now, and in the future.

I am entering a time of the harvest. I accept my God-given good of perfect employment right now. I agree to enlarge my territory, and my mind, about what is possible in my own employment life. I consent to accepting the very highest and best. I consent to accepting the good of God, and I am open to new locations of service and new avenues of employment. I am not stuck or stayed in the past, career field or geographical location. I am willing to reinvent myself and do what is best for my future and continuous, ever-expanding, financial prosperity. I am ready and willing to live a stress-free, prosperous, good life through active service that God provides. In so consenting, I agree to let go of limiting thoughts of personal self-worth. I do not devalue myself because I realize that God loves me and wants me to succeed in wondrous ways. I need God, and I realize God needs me too.

Dear God I come to You for strength – strength of body, strength of mind and strength of soul. I feel the infilling of Your Spirit. I feel the assurance of Your upholding presence. Thank You, God, for strength.

Dear God I come to You for wisdom – wisdom to know what I should do, wisdom to choose the course that means growth and understanding. Thank You, God, for wisdom.

Dear God I come to You for courage – courage to face every experience, courage to stand strong and firm in the midst of situations that require much of me. Thank You, God, for courage.

God is light. I am one with the light of God. The light of God shines brightly within me because I consent to it coming through. This light guides and directs me in all that I do, and God shows me my way and my way is made plain. In First John 1:5 the truth is spoken, “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”

God is peace. I am peaceful. I am one with the peace of God in mind and body. The peace of God fills my heart, mind and soul. I am relaxed and at peace.

God is joy. I am joyful. I am one with the joy of God. My life is a glow with an inner joy, the joy of which Jesus spoke when He said, “that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” I am filled with the joy of living.

God is love. I am loving. I am one with the love of God. The Bible says that all love is from God and the all-providing love of God flows throughout my entire being and throughout every relationship in my life. I give and I accept love freely.

“We have the mind of Christ.”
1 Corinthians 2:16

So often, we hear people say, “If only the answer would come to me, clearly, then I would know what to do.” Right answers come, simply and perfectly, if you will let them. There are some easy steps to follow that I am going to share with you, today.

Stop, Ask, Believe, Listen, Follow

1) STOP worry thought. Relax and let go to God.

When you relax and let go, you make way for the answer God has for you.

2) ASK God for specific help.

When you stop struggling and trying so hard and begin to listen, within the silence of prayer, you are taught by God, directly. God reveals to you what to do and how to do it. Be patient, and the answer will come.

Often I suggest sleeping on it. This is an action that helps stop worry, and promotes relaxing and letting go.

3) BELIEVE that God is helping you.

Jesus says, “When you pray, believe that you have already received.” The only way that God can give something to you, is through you. You must take possession in your faith to receive the manifestation, the guidance, and the answer.

4) LISTEN within to the voice of intuition, to what seems right and best.

Usually, when we pray, we do all the talking. Usually, we define, in great detail, in our prayers, what we are worried about. Our prayers often become vocal recitations of our fears and worries. When we stop talking, relax, wait, and listen to God we find the answers and solutions that we are seeking.

5) FOLLOW, trusting in God to harmonize, to heal, and to bless all things.

The answers we receive will often be quite different than the thoughts that we have had in our own human mind. We might have a tendency to argue with the answers we receive. When we follow God, we are led, successfully, through the maze of life to a victorious conclusion.

Your mind can become a storehouse for productive ideas from God. You are able to remember what you need to remember, and to let go all that is trivial and meaningless. Your mind, centered in God, becomes the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ, in you, has creativeness, imagination, and power to accomplish all things.

You trust the mind of Christ, in you, to bring clarity to your thoughts. You trust the mind of Christ, in you, to enable you to express sound and true ideas so you can do your part in making this a better world.

Your mind is a healthy mind. Your mind is practical, poised, and peaceful. The mind of Christ, in you, enables you to see through appearances to solutions. The mind of Christ, in you, helps you to understand the gifts bestowed on you by God. The mind of Christ, in you, gives you spiritual discernment.
