As a child, many of us had a microscope; I remember I could hold a familiar object under that microscope and the more that I increased the magnification, the less recognizable it became.

The same holds true for situations in your life that are still in the process of being resolved. If you focus only on the problem, it will be magnified and drawn closer to you. Any attempt to analyze it, rather than keeping an open mind and being objective, you will become so completely involved that your perception will be completely distorted.

You will become overwhelmed by your problem because it seems so large.

Instead, you focus on God and God’s overall plan. When you do, you can look, objectively, with a God-given focus and perception. You will have God’s vision.

As you look with fresh eyes and a better perception, you can see that God is at work. God is bigger than your problem and God knows how to solve your problem.

God’s vision sees all problems as small again. God can do anything.

I have said, many times, that we can only see but a small bit of God’s tapestry. And often our vision is the greatest when we close our eyes – in prayer. When you have God’s vision, you are able to see the wonder in God’s creation. God’s vision lifts you above the smallness of your problem and lets you see it clearly for how small it really is.

You focus on the good instead of the bad.

If your problem is overwhelming to you, try 24 hours of a spiritual focusing retreat. Allow yourself to let go and let God for 24 hours. For the entire 24-hour time you give your problem to God, and you ask to see clearly, and to be guided by your new eyesight to a higher perception.

For 24 hours, you focus on God’s creation, the stars, planets, animals, people, and so much more – you, once again, catch a glimpse of the variety and the vastness of life. God’s world is teaming with positive life, even in the seemingly barren spots. God supports all the activity that is going on and coming forth in an order that never ceases to sustain and uphold.

So, whenever a problem seems to loom so large, and your life seems so out of order, give yourself a break – a 24-hour break – to focus entirely on God. You will find that you are living in a world of God’s creation, and that you are a part of God’s wonderful plan.

You will be given a spiritual 20/20 vision that is not nearsighted – focused only on temporal problems, or farsighted – that is wishing for a time in an imagined, far-off place.

You will find wonderful discoveries and happiness as you focus on the present now moment.

Ask God, to show you how to enjoy this present moment because once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. Now is the only time that you must live. The past is a figment of your imagination, and so is the future.

Just as treasure is often hidden to the naked eye, it is uncovered to those that focus on finding it. There is true treasure that you and God can find in the next 24 hours in your life. Your life is teaming with positive possibilities and positive surprise.

In times of sadness, remembrance of the loving, comforting presence of God keeps the heart from sorrow, keeps the mind at peace. The strength that is beyond human strength, the joy that no tears can dim, the love that knows that it cannot lose its own are yours, through an awareness of God.

Think about the comforting words of Jesus: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever … he dwelleth with you and shall be in you … Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

The loving, comforting presence of Christ uplifts, sustains, and strengthens you through any experience.

Perhaps you are praying for another, today, who needs God’s comfort. Your prayer for others begins with a prayer for yourself – a prayer for your understanding, a prayer for your enlightenment and lifted vision. You pray for the faith to know, despite appearances, that God is at work. You pray for the strength to hold fast to the truth that good is present in all situations.

You place those for whom you pray in God’s care. You trust God to guide them, comfort them, guard them, and make their way safe.

Even when you think you know what is best for others, you respect their right to freedom. If God gives the freedom to grow in their own way, at their own rate of unfoldment, shall you be the one to deny this freedom?

God comforts all people who are open to the comforting. You behold those for whom you pray as God’s children, guided and gently comforted by God’s love.

Perhaps you are experiencing symptoms that cause you to doubt your own well-being. Or maybe you have received a diagnosis that prompts you to feel concerned about your health. Pray, right now, for the comfort of God to be upon you. Peace proceeds all healing. Decree in Word and action that the resurrecting power of Christ is, right now, doing a healing work in you.

Imagine the comforting presence of God around you every moment, and working within you. In your mind’s eye, see the light of God going to, and glowing in every cell of your being. The warm glow of life moves through your muscles and joints, comforting and easing all discomfort. God moves through all organs and tissues with a gentle healing light that clears your veins and arteries of any obstruction. The resurrecting powers of the regeneration of God perfection is bringing new life to your mind and body.

You are vitally and vibrantly alive, resting in the gentle comfort of God.

In prayer, we join with millions of people the world over who are praying with God. As we join in prayer, we consent to the activity of the Christ working in us, in our daily life

We consent to a higher way than our own human way. We consent to the guidance of God. We consent to thoughts that are Divine. We know that it is not I, but the Christ within who does the work.

Prayer is an act of giving our attention to God. It is a sacred act. It is a gift from the heart. As we pray for ourselves and others, we are giving the gift of our love and our faith. We join our hearts now and direct our attention, our love, and our faith to the Christ presence that abides with us.

The Christ presence lives within our hearts. Each time we open ourselves to a new realization, we experience a new awareness of this wonderful Presence. Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. As you relax and become still, you feel the peace of the Christ that fills you. In this peace you know that bountiful blessings await you and all for whom you pray. The Christ is reborn in you as joy and peace. You greet each day with confidence.

You accept this now in the silence of prayer …

You are calm and serene. The peace of the Christ rules in your heart. Christ shall give you light. You are filled with the peace of Christ. You now open your spiritual eyes to inner light. Today, you exercise your resilient spirit as you grow and unfold, secure in God’s love.

Perhaps resilience of the human spirit is something you seldom think about because you take it for granted. However, you are reminded of the importance of this vital quality in the beauty and wonder of nature. Everywhere around you, you see signs of the resilient spirit of God working actively in all life.

The resilient spirit also causes us to rise and grow like a well rooted tree next to the flowing currents of change and challenge.

The resilient spirit unfolds in us like a golden shaft of wheat, growing in God’s love and maturing to its fullest potential.

The resilient spirit process is like a strong flexible tree, bending readily in the storms of adversity.

As it soars like a bird flying high above criticism and self-doubt on the wings of new experience, the resilient spirit declares faith in God’s ever-present help.

So many people sleepwalk through life, having nightmares in the daytime by living in their fears. When this person knows that God is with them, every moment, they begin to build a wide-awake, resilient spirit. We can only receive the blessings of good when you are awake and fully ready and aware; otherwise we sleepwalk past open doors of opportunity.

Today, you have a resilient spirit. You are awake and alert spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. You are fully aware of God’s presence, active in and through you. God is all around you bringing good into your life. You are not beaten down, but rather, spiritually built up and made stronger through your past adversity. You are resilient with the resilient spirit of God!

An elderly man in Tennessee had owned a large farm for several years. He had a pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, since he hadn’t been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women in bikinis in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, “We’re not coming out until you leave!”

The old man frowned, “I didn’t come down here to watch you ladies swim or make you get out of the pond in your small bikinis.”

Carol Price writes, “During my third year as a speaker, giving seminars all over the country, I was driving into Wheeling, West Virginia, to teach a class on self-esteem to 150 women.

“My background includes being raised by a mother and grandmother who took great pains to teach me that families take care of one another no matter what. I knew I could always count on them when I was in trouble, and they knew they could do the same.

“I was driving faster than I should have been because I desperately wanted to make it to Wheeling before the severe rains that had been predicted began to fall.

“As I saw the sign telling me Wheeling was eight miles away, I speeded up even a bit more, even though a few raindrops had just begun to fall.

“With no warning, I heard a boom – not too loud, but loud enough to know it wasn’t a good sound. When I turned off the radio to further evaluate the sound, it became clear I had a tire problem: probably a flat. I slowed down, knowing from high school driver’s education not to brake hard, but knowing still that I needed to get off the road for my safety.

“On the side of the road, I looked around, saw nothing but rugged hills, a six-lane highway and very fast traffic. I locked the door, to be safe, and tried to figure out what to do. I did not have a cellular phone, as they were not that common many years ago.

“Every story I had ever heard about women having bad experiences on the side of the road in strange cities ran through my mind like a movie reel, and I tried to decide if I would be safer staying with the car or walking to the next exit. It was beginning to get dark, and I truly was becoming afraid.

“My grandmother taught me as a very little girl that things work out if you keep your head about you, and I was trying very hard to do just that.

“At that very moment, a large semi passed very fast on my left, causing my car to shudder, and I saw that the directional light was on, indicating he was pulling over in front of me. I could hear his brakes squeal, as he was braking fast and hard.

“I again thought, ‘Am I safer or in more danger?’ I could see the truck as it slowly backed up on the shoulder of the road and decided that to be very safe, I would take a precaution I had seen in a movie. I took out a pad in my briefcase and wrote down the name of the trucking company and the Ohio license number, as they both were visible from my car. I put the pad with this information under the driver’s seat just in case!

“Even though it was now raining quite hard, the driver came running back from the truck to my car and said through my window that I had opened only three inches, that he had seen the tire blow and would be glad to change it.

“He asked for the car keys to get into the trunk; and although I knew I was about to lose all my safety precautions, it seemed to be my best choice. I gave him the keys. He changed the tire and gave me back the keys. I asked him through the three-inch opening in the window if I could pay him for his kindness. He said, ‘We drivers in Ohio believe in taking care of women in trouble on the highway.’

“I then asked him for the name of his boss, so I could send him or her a letter relaying how wonderful he had been. He laughed a very odd laugh and gave me the name of his boss, a woman, and his card, which had the name of the trucking company, the address and the phone number.

“I thanked him again, and the now soaking-wet man ran back to the truck. Gratefully, I went on to Wheeling to present my seminar.

“Upon returning to Florida, I had a T-shirt made for this man that showed an angel in a truck with the words printed across the picture, ‘Highway Hero,’ and sent it to the address on the card.

“It came back, addressee unknown.

“I called the number on the card and got a recording saying no such number existed. I called the city newspaper for that town, asked for the editor, explained the dilemma and asked that a letter to the editor be placed in the paper thanking the driver. What would it be like to have your heart’s desire? The glorious gifts of God lie within you, as untapped potential waiting your discovery and use. Each of us has different gifts but they are all from the SAME source – God. Most of us have not yet discovered some of the most profound gifts that God has given. These gifts may be in you, lying dormant, awaiting your discovery and use, this very moment.

The creative Spirit of God flows through all of life, and through each of us. When we choose to develop our individual talents, or our natural, God-given abilities, we can each give of ourselves to the magnificent world in which we live. Achievement of our well-intentioned aims patiently awaits us. Today, we stake our claim to the gold mine of God-given gifts yet undiscovered within us.

We accept God’s wondrous gifts of talents and abilities and use them, lovingly. We pray that our own untapped potential will be revealed to us in the days and nights that follow. We call forth the gifts of God and we are blessed. With enthusiasm and confidence, we reach out to the amazing life that is all around us. As we do, we discover our growing potential is generated by a fountain of Divine ideas.

The gifts of God that are given to us are precious, priceless, and fulfilling. As we give from a storehouse of unlimited good, we are filled with a true sense of accomplishment, well-being, happiness, and fulfillment.

In 1 John 3:1, Jesus says, “See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and SO WE ARE.”

As a child of God, you possess the qualities and talents given to you by your Creator. You possess God-given openness, eagerness, joyfulness, and vitality. You are free, trusting, curious, interested, and expectant of your good.

As a child of God, you trust in the loving protection and guidance of God. You are open to and expectant of the revealing the talents that will lead to your heart’s desire becoming manifest. You are free to discover and explore more spiritual depth yet unexplored in you. You are free to make your greatest discoveries.

You are, again, excited about the possibilities of life in your own life. You no longer think that the best is behind you. You expect right and prosperous outcomes. With God’s help, you remove restraints and restrictions that you may have placed upon yourself; you live freely and joyously as a beloved child of God.

God created you to be free. God gave you the tools to become free. God equipped you with talents and abilities that are special and unique. God already values you and the world is waiting to discover you and value your God-given talents.

God gave you the freedom to become the best you can be. You are free to pursue excellence with sincerity and integrity, with expectancy and joy. As a child of God, you are joyful, trusting, and free to bring your heart’s desire into being.

One major challenge, or several minor challenges, may leave you feeling as if you are carrying a greater load than you are able to bear. Yet, your load will become lighter and any problem will be lessened when you know, with all your being, that God is with you as your strength, wisdom, and as your peace.

In a quiet moment of prayer, you think on this truth: “God is my strength, my inner resource that, moment by moment, becomes stronger through me.”

As you let the idea of the inner strength from God grow in you, you feel yourself becoming stronger.

If today is a day of decision, you calm yourself by knowing that God is with you as all the wisdom you could ever need. Your decisions are based on Divine guidance. You stop yourself from being caught up in the world of confusion around you, and you go to God in prayer. Just as the root system is what gives the tree life, the root system of your life, is the foundation, GOD.

At times, there may seem to be dark corners in your life and you may be unsure as how to proceed. At these times, you remember that no matter where you may go or what you must do, God is with you. God’s light is illuminating your path. God’s light of love, wisdom, and protection is ever-shining in your life. This light of God never fails. No dark corner of fear or uncertainty can evade its harmonizing, transforming effect.

As you think of the infinite wisdom of God, you can feel the warmth and light of God’s presence with you, right now. As you focus on the light of God, you feel it shining forth in all that concerns you. This light radiates into your mind and heart. Its healing warmth fills your body with strength. Where there was once darkness in your thinking, weakness in your body, there is now only God’s strength and light. The shadowy places of doubt in your world are now bright with God’s light.

The light of God with you, this present moment, lightens any load, because it is your sure and certain guide. God helps you in every way, including within your thinking. Your thoughts are made clear and the straight path to your good is revealed to you.

Your heavy load becomes light!

The presence of God is here, and it becomes very tangible inside and outside of you as you pray.

The presence of God is here, something you can touch, something you can feel, something that is thinking through you, something that is radiating through you giving you a new energy, vitality, and zest for life. The presence of God is here.

The Mind of God, which created the universe, directs you to beautiful living. Your decisions are right and good, for the Lord of your being is your light.

In Jesus Christ, you find the true light that brings understanding and Divine direction. In Jesus Christ, you find the love that satisfies and fulfills every need. You are a spiritual being surrounded by God’s love, and all is well.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

Today, in prayer, everyone here is together, spiritually. You are here, decreeing the goodness of God in your life and in everything that is a part of your life. You have faith in God, and you have faith in God’s love. Through faith, God’s love blesses and makes right all that concerns you. You are calm and poised in God’s love. God’s good is magnified and multiplied in your life. You are peaceful and relaxed. You have, inside of you now, the knowledge that God’s Spirit of harmony, order, and understanding – at work in your life. Your mind, your body, and your life spiritually respond to the Spirit of God within you. By God’s power, all things are made right.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

You are going across a threshold of a doorway, a gate into a new consciousness. All things are made new within this new realm of thinking and living. You are made new.

There is an activity here that is happening. It is happening spiritually. It is not your imagination. Your mind and your heart are open to the infinite love of God. The activity of this love is establishing peace and order in your life. God is here, and the loving Christ spirit rules supreme in your life. Your mind, body, and affairs are serene and harmonious.

Rest in the silence of prayer …

I am one with God. You are one with God. We are one with God, and we are one with God’s good. Through God’s power, your life is blessed with order and peace. You now accept a new world order for yourself. Your life is under the rule of Divine order. Your business, your career, is under the rule of Divine order. Your relations are under the rule of Divine order.

The way you feel in your mind is under the rule of Divine order. The way your body is responding to your thoughts is under the rule of Divine order.

There’s a new level of energy that is manifested in you and through you. The activity of the living God is gently moving through you now, with its quietness, gentleness, and peace. This tangible presence of God can be felt.

Rest for a moment, in the silence of prayer …

In the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, I decree peace and order in your world. In every aspect of your life, I decree a new level of peace manifesting now from this prayer. I pray for a Divine outworking of everything that is troubling you now, because you are not alone. God is with you, and the great outworking of Divine order is taking place.

There is a constructive, unifying power of Divine love expressing in your life. There is a harmonizing and blessing that is happening in your life. The love of God is harmonizing and blessing your life, now. Say that silently inside yourself: The love of God is harmonizing and blessing me, now …
